I went to Sew Pretty for my bridal alterations and I cannot recommend Michelle enough! She was extremely sweet, accommodating, and easy to work with! I had three total appointments to make sure everything was fitting perfectly and I was comfortable. Definitely use Sew Pretty for all your alterations!

I think this is the right shop lol. I came here years ago for my junior prom when I was 16 in 2020. 4 years later I still can’t get this woman out of my head. The way I was so insecure with my body and she made me feel amazing. I had a red gown and she custom fitted it to me and added custom alterations. She made me feel so beautiful. She made a round neck into a v neck and added a ruched bum to the dress. She’s so talented. It was so short notice too and my mom and I were turned away from every shop during a stressful time because of such short notice and my mom and I were so stressed dealing with my grandmother just passing away. The kindness and compassion I assume was from Michele has lasted years and years on my mind. I always think about how amazing she made me feel. It was genuinely life changing for me in such a terrible point in my life. I’m happy to say when the time comes and I get married (which should be in a short few years) I will be booking her to custom make my dress in the future. Thank you so much!

I’m so sad I didn’t find Michelle sooner to actually purchase my dress from her however she did a great job on my alterations. I was an expecting bride so I needed to add a corset back to accommodate my growing baby bump. Michelle worked diligent and in a timely manner. She started alterations about three
months before my wedding in the midst of the pandemic. The dress was a perfect fit. I will be returning as I have an upcoming wedding to attend in the future.

Michelle is absolutely amazing. From start to finish. We had many fitting appointments to make sure my dress fit just right, looked perfect and was ready for my big day. I bought my dress before pandemic and wedding got pushed back as well so my dress of course barely fit. It was SO tight. I couldn’t even bend over. I thought it was the end of the world. But Michelle reassured me and said it could be let out. I was worried because of all the beads and details as you’ll see in photo, but I couldn’t even tell she touched it. Thank you SO much Michelle for taking care of me.

Very talented seamstress! I have had alterations done on several gowns here and Michele has always done a fabulous job. She has also tailored some of my husband's suits and he is very fussy about it being done right. He has had no complaints. Top quality! Definitely recommend.

I've gone to Michelle at Sew Pretty for many alterations and have always had a great experience. I turned to her for my wedding dress and couldn't be happier with the decision to do so. I went in for 3 fittings and she then held my dress until a couple of days prior to the wedding - living in Philly, I was so grateful and at ease knowing my dress was safe not stuffed into one of my small closets! She is so thorough and she fully understands the results a bride is looking for. My dress was beautiful and pressed perfectly. I will continue seeing Michelle for all of my alterations needs. I can't recommend her enough!

Michelle and her staff helped me find my perfect gown FAST! They heard what I wanted, and by the third dress, I had found my wedding gown! When there was just one thing I wanted to change about it, Michelle instantly said "no problem! we make wedding dresses here, anything you want, we can make happen" and she did! In my one dress, I got 3 different looks thanks to the work of her amazing alteration team!

Just bought my dream wedding dress! The store itself is gorgeous and their options for my need of a more alternative wedding dress were endless! Jackie was such a pleasure to work with and very sweet! She made my experience so fun and comfortable. Her and Michelle were able to answer all my questions and were very accommodating. Michelle did an excellent job with my wedding dress alterations. She was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and reliable during the few months that we worked with her. Michelle provided such a soothing and comfortable environment for my bridal fitting. Sew Pretty Studio is incredible and Michelle is nothing short of a miracle worker. I needed an alteration for a bridesmaid gown last minute - the week of the 4th of July. Having recently moved to the area, I waited until the last minute and was scrambling to find where/how I could the dress altered. Despite my lack of judgment, I luckily came upon Sew Pretty Studio and was able to book an appointment online with Michelle. Her work is impeccable and speaks for itself. She even made sure that there would be no problems and had the dress ready to go a day early should further alterations be needed. Thank you so much Michelle - for your patience, professionalism, ability to accommodate your customers, and quality of work. You are truly in a category all your own and you have a customer for life! You were right - the earrings were great also! If you do not go to see Michelle at Sew Pretty Studio, you have no one to blame but yourself! She is second to none!

Where do I even begin?! I was calling places in Philly, where I live, and NO one was getting back to me. Obviously covid played a huge part, but that that was extremely stressful nonetheless. A girlfriend who lives in NJ, recommended Sew Pretty to me.... Michele is a gem. Beyond words. My dress was love at first sight, but she turned it into so much more. She also altered the other outfits for my wedding. She has a beautiful space! So beautiful! And you feel so special putting your dress on each and every time! She is so sweet and such a pleasure to work with. I genuinely enjoyed it. I don’t normally write a lot of reviews, but I couldn’t let this time we shared go by without letting everyone know! Michelle altered my dress perfectly, and it was affordable! It was hard to find a shop nearby that seemed nice and affordable and she is definitely the best around. Def recommend!

My most recent visit was my second time working with michele.....she altered the dresses for the bridal party for my sister's wedding and managed to alter my sister's intricateand fragile lace/pearl gown in such a way that the dress looked like it was made perfectly just for her. She added sleeves to one of the dresses so that person would be more comfortable, and I appreciated how calm and patient she was with all of us. She knows exactly how to alter a gown to flatter any shape. Thank you Michele!!!!!!

Michelle works magic. I found her because my cousin brought her beautiful, lace Kleinfeld ball gown to her 4 years ago and my cousin looked like an actual angel. The hemline was EXTREMELY difficult and I know Carroll couldn’t have been happier with how it turned out so it wasn’t even a question that Michelle was who I wanted for my dress. I called so far in advance and Michelle assured me that 3 months before my wedding was plenty of time. She of course was right. Not once was I ever nervous with Michelle - I knew my dress was safe in her hands. I had a Jenny Yoo A-Line dress, with a long train. The dress ran pretty big (but I was too scared to order a smaller size dress than what Jenny Yoo recommended.) She took my dress from a Jenny Yoo size 4 to probably a size 0 because I kept losing weight. I had not one, not two, not three but FOUR fittings all for the originally quoted price. This is for many reasons – my shoes hurt in the first fitting and she waited to do the hem until I found another pair. When I came back with the right shoes she was able to show me what the hem would look like before even cutting anything to make sure I loved it first. The bustle was something that was important to me because I loved the back of my dress so much. She kept the integrity of the dress and even showed me three different versions of my dress bustled and how it would look (and then took pictures for me to see.) She is worth every penny and MORE! My last fitting I pushed back to the Tuesday before my wedding and she said don’t worry if it needs any changes she would get it done before the wedding but it fit like a glove! She is extremely professional and the sweetest woman you will ever meet. I’m pretty sad that I don’t have an excuse anymore to make the trip from Philadelphia to Haddonfield to visit her. Please book Michelle now – you won’t regret it!!!!

Had a great experience shopping here and felt that the owner wanted to make sure I looked great regardless of whether I bought the dress there or not. She understands how best to fit women. I had a fabulous experience and will be back for the top notch alterations described on other reviews.

My prom dress was extremely intricate yet she accomplished all the alterations I needed done without messing up the pattern of beading on the dress. She did really great, and in a timely manner. Will be returning to her again.

I cannot put into words how amazing my experience has been here. I am a Covid bride and rescheduled my wedding and took my dress to her shop last minute and made it happen so quick and fast but also very affordable. Michelle went above and beyond for me, and will for you too.
