Beautiful atmosphere, incredible service, and THE FOOD!!! An absolute 10 out of 10. Every dish we had was so delicious. We had six different dishes in total with perfect wine pairings from the sommelier, and every single one was very impressive. Chef Jason is so passionate about his craft and it shows. My friend and I had a wonderful time. Cannot recommend The Ebbitt Room enough! A must-do Cape May experience!

Definitely one of the best dining experiences we’ve had at the Jersey shore. The Virginia Hotel is beautiful and it was really festive for Christmas. It has the old world charm of Cape May with modern touches and a comfortable atmosphere. We ordered their cheese board to start, and it was really good - the plate included several local cheeses with honey, nuts, and fruit jelly; we also had the Parker House rolls. I ordered the half chicken with escarole, and my husband ordered the 8 oz filet mignon; both were delicious. We split the side of brussels sprouts and they were also great. To top off our experience, they had zero-proof cocktails, which were so much better than the typical juice-heavy mocktails ordered at most bars. I had the William’s Refresher and it was perfect and light. We will absolutely be back! It’s hard to find a good fine dining restaurant at the shore and the Ebbitt Room really nailed it.

We have been coming to Cape May for over 20 years and this is one of my favorite places. We have dinned here in the past but with the recent visit we had cocktails and apps on the porch.
The drinks are always delicious and the food is tasty. My favorite park is the porch and for winter they have temporary enclosure with heaters so you can enjoy it regardless of the weather outside. One of the best expresso martinis (not too sweet).

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary dinner at The Ebbit Room! Spectacular service, ambiance and food was divine! We sat on the front porch with heaters which was very comfy and then moved inside by the fireplace for a nightcap! Will be back very soon! Staff was so sweet and even gave us a champagne toast on the house!

My second time here, I ordered Deviled Eggs which were from the local Beach Plum Farm, and a Pumpkin Pie. Previously, I had an apple bourbon tart.

My wife and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary with dinner here last night. It was outstanding. Appetizers were the chargrilled oysters and octopus. Both delicious. We split a Caesar salad and then had the Dover sole special with a side of asparagus. The fish was the best I’ve had in a long time. Dessert was the mango cheesecake and banoffee pie. Rarely does my wife finish an entire dessert but let me tell you there wasn’t anything left of either of them when we were done. Our server Andy was excellent as well. We will be back!

There are few restaurants that are on the pricey side where the experience is truly worth it. The Ebbit Room is undoubtedly one. The food, service, drinks and atmosphere are all so good it is impossible not to love the place. We keep going back as often as we can.

We first just randomly stopped in here for a quick cocktail and ended up making a dinner reservation! The atmosphere is seriously amazing! It feels like back in the day and we loved the whole vibe! The bartender was super friendly and so was our waiter and the front desk person. Seriously everyone was very friendly and nice! The cocktails were made perfectly and tasted great. Best burger I've ever had and so was the delicious calamari. We loved the whole vibe and people and definitely recommend. Don't let the prices sway you away because it's worth the experience!

My friend and I had an amazing night at the Ebbitt Room. First impression walking in is so inviting and cozy. Now to our dining experience - WOW! Every dish we had was delicious with perfect presentation. Chef Daddy Jason wined and dined us, and made us feel so special! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. A definite go to when in Cape May.

The atmosphere is gorgeous. There is a live baby-grand piano performance which is very delightful. Staff are highly trained, attentive and knowledgeable. Each dish had a unique presentation, from formal to creative. Wine selection was on par with other fine dinning experiences in the area. This place is a must for anyone who wants to experience Cape May’s finest dinning.

My fiancé and I have started the tradition of vacationing to Cape May. This is our second year and we will continue to make sure The Ebbitt Room is one of our stops… if not multiple times throughout the trip. The food, drinks, and service never disappoint. We dined two times during our 4 night stay and were lucky enough to have Andy as our server both times. He was knowledgeable about everything from food and drinks to the best spots to sit on the porch. My fiancé ordered the Japanese Waygu special and wasn’t sure what wine to pair with it. Without hesitation, Andy found him the perfect glass. I also have some dietary restrictions and Andy made sure I was able to eat what I wanted to order. I 100% recommend the Ebbitt Room and 120% recommend asking for Andy. On top of it all, it was really nice to see the Executive Chef step out onto the porch while dinner was taking place. If you are heading to Cape May you MUST reserve The Ebbitt Room!

Exceptional dining experience from start to finish! We arrived early and enjoyed a cheeseboard & cocktail in the cozy room on the right with the fireplace. The service was excellent. We then moved to the porch for dinner. It was chilly, but no worries. They sat us under a heater & immediately offered blankets. I’ll dine Al Fresco year-round with this kind of service. Water glasses were frequently refilled & we could hear the piano playing inside. We ordered the deviled eggs for an appetizer (delish) & Filet Mignon + Beef Cheeks for our entrees. The suggested red Cab was a perfect pairing. Ricotta donuts for dessert? Yes please. Ebbitt Room is one of the best restaurants in Cape May.

My wife and I visit the Virginia Hotel in Cape May once a year. It is a wonderful place and is staffed by the most attentive and kindest persons. We make it a point to eat at the Ebbitt Room at least once and sometimes twice during our stay. The food is excellent and the bartenders are great, however the main reason for visiting the Ebbitt Room is Kenny (Kenneth Richardson) the piano player! As a matter of fact, we plan our visits around his schedule. Kenny is engaging and generates an ambiance from an era long gone by. He is super talented and exudes a style and class that you don’t often find these days!

I don’t usually give a 5 but this restaurant hit all the marks. Great service, delicious food, and beautiful atmosphere Started with cocktails at the bar. Great selection and wonderful bartender, talented and friendly, a perfect combo. The photo of the risotto with Uni (a special) was too fuzzy to post but it was spectacular.

Took my parents out to dinner here in mid July . Absolutely gorgeous night in Cape May. This is also a really pretty hotel with the restaurant downstairs. It's fairly large and a bit expensive but I really liked it. I started with a dozen raw oysters $39 it's not cheap ! But absolutely delicious . The grilled oysters were also good. The Caesar salad was nice for sharing too. Get a Hemingway Daiquiri too . I had the whole fried fish special and it was pretty tasty . Next time I'd get the salmon or scallop. Focaccia was ok, it cost extra. My parents had the Filet mignon and liked it. For dessert definitely get the Key Lime tart, it was great. Skip the summer corn ice cream- it wasn't very creamy and tasted more like ice milk. Their small bar looks cozy to sit at too if you ever stay in the hotel . Also we had a really nice waiter from Serbia named Andy - he was great .I would eat here again next time I'm in Cape May. Dinner for 3 with apps and drinks and mains and dessert was about $300 before tip . Recommended

This place was great! we made a reservation and they took us right away and there is valet parking. We got appetizers and they were great! the calamari was great so were deviled eggs! The service was great and they came back and filled our waters multiple times! I got the New York strip steak and it was amazing! It also came with potatoes and broccolini! The steak was great and had good flavor and was not chewy! I also tried the veil and it was one of the best things ever! It had amazing flavor and was very juicy! For dessert I got the doughnuts and it was amazing! It was one of the best desserts ever! So fluffy and had great flavor! I definitely recommend this restaurant it was very good!

We have gone to a lot of restaurants along the Jersey shore, and this is one of our new favorites! Excellent food and service. The calamari app was fabulous. Probably the best we’ve had and our entrees had a lot of fun flavors. The lamb is a must get. Will be back

Forgot to take a photo until we were halfway through our meals, hence this hacked up chicken. But let it be a testament to how fantastic our food was. Great experience from start to finish. Porch is drafty so bring a jacket if you’re dining in the cooler months, but the atmosphere was spectacular.

We had our son’s wedding dinner at the Ebbit room last night. I just want to thank the entire staff for a terrific evening . We had 16 people in their private room , and the wait staff were outstanding. We ordered the oysters, devil eggs, and calamari for appetizers , all enjoyed them. The main courses ran from the special rib eye, Swordfish, scallops and again everyone said their main course was outstanding. I want to thank the entire staff again for a great evening.

Great menu, dinners were delicious and presentation was excellent. Service was very good and the piano music was nice.
