I love this theater, it’s the only one I will go to. The staff is always friendly and gracious. It’s clean compared to other theaters in the area, by far. The small theater experience is what I appreciate most, reminds me of when I went to the movies as a kid in my small town.
Prices are reasonable, sound is movie theater quality, snacks are good; wish they served warmer popcorn. The selection of films they choose to show are amazing 🤌 and keep that dopamine flowing for local cinephiles.
I’ve never been disappointed.

A lovely cinema to visit; reminded me of actually going to the movies in the 90s and early 2000s before AMC and other big corporations came into popularity with massive reclining couches, less seating and a generally more expensive experience. This place stands out with the charming experience I had long missed: real cinema seats-yes they're bouncy and comfortable, an intimate concierge and concessions area, and a friendly neighborhood vibe.

Good vibes! Didn't see a movie today, but stepped inside to find out show times general information on prices, etc.. Found staff to be very helpful and willing to share. I will definitely be returning to see a movie in the near future!

Cozy, well-maintained multiplex that screens new releases, indy and classic films. The staff are courteous and helpful. Ritz honors a senior discount to most shows plus they now offer $7 Tuesday night tickets for all. Getting there is a pleasant walk through the Independence historic district.

Great local theater with varied options of showings, including new releases, older seasonal movies, art house films, and even a Rocky Horror Picture Show performance around Halloween.

Would recommend everyone in Philly make this their spot to catch a good flick as prices are much better than any AMC or big box theater. Support your local theaters!

What I love about this theater is that it's small, simple and not over-the-top. I really appreciate the basic movie seats and refreshments. Also love that they have featured showings of previously-released films. I refuse to go to ay other theater in the city.

Wonderful staff! Good food and drinks, parking can be found in the local garage hakf a block away. They hosted my friend Tommy and his movie The Room and we had a great time! Thanks Craig!

So glad to still have a large screen to immerse myself in the unique experience of film. Screen 1 is still wide and, with two aisles, offers seating in the center of the screen. Projection, sound and seating are first rate, if not the current standard of recliner or tiered seating. Regardless, the experience is enhanced by respectful audiences who let the film play without checking their phones or offering commentary. That may be the rarest element of a great movie going experience of all.

The folks here are great. It's a great art House theater. The popcorn is copious and so are the seasonings. I'm still finishing my small size today. The theater was clean and so was the bathroom. For those of you who will we be visiting the ladies room they even have a little shelf in the stall for your bag. It's a small staff so you may have to be a little patient but they're extremely friendly so please be nice to them.

My favorite spot to catch a movie. It’s exactly the right experience and nothing more. Constant variety, friendly and efficient staff, and hot popcorn at a competitive price. Catch it

Great movie theater for some of the more art house movies. But they also have some of the mainstream movies!

What a great little theater! It's old-school, no stadium seating, and you tend to want to sit somewhere from the middle to the back - much closer and you're looking straight up. You can see some of the Oscar movies here, and the Ocscar-nominated short films, which is fun. And they're set up to do talks and other fun movie-related stuff. Concessions aren't too expensive, and I think I saw a bar for coffee and hot chocolate, which is fun. Regular price is $12 but Monday & Tuesdays it's $7.

Went for "bargain Tuesday," and despite a line for tickets and refreshments, they were fast! Don't need to show up too far ahead of time. The popcorn was delicious! Movie theater itself was great too, comfort and spacious.

Always a superb selection of foreign and indie films. Excellent seats. Better selection of theater food than most movie outlets. Generally parking nearby, but (and this is important) don't be late with your meter, the Philadelphia Parking Authority is vicious.

Went here in the afternoon on a whim and watched a great selection of Oscar-nominated short films. It’s very small and quirky (you buy your tickets at concessions) but it’s clean and the staff is all friendly. I would definitely go again!

The theater escalator is under construction but the theater is lovely as always. I hadn’t been there in over 5 years and it was really nice to go back. The guys at the concession stand were very friendly. The theater itself had good projection and sound.

I had a movie date here with my uusband today. This is a really cute movie theater for indie films. Cozy and unique. Almost has like and old theater vibe to it when walking in. Will visit again.

This is one of the best theaters I've been to because all of the chairs are at the same level in theater 1, so it almost gives off a "drive-in theater" vibe. It's better than how I explained it.

The staff was super nice, funny, and accommodating. Saw the midnight showing of 2001 A Space Odyssey. I grew up quite disliking the movie, but this viewing experience really changed my mind. Literally this theater is just that great, idk what to tell ya
