Center Square Tavern

The wife and I stopped in for a date night this past Saturday and couldn't have had a better experience! We had the absolute best service, the food was fantastic, the drinks were amazing, everything about our evening at the Tavern was perfect! If you're the owner reading this, you need to hire the blonde server with glasses that was filling in on 3/9 as part of your full time staff! I'm terrible with names, but she was absolutely wonderful! She was fun, incredibly nice, and excellent at helping us pick out good drinks and desserts. She made our night! Keep up the great work, we'll definitely be back soon!

We love this place! The food is very good, menu options are varied, draft beer selection is excellent, and, most importantly, the wait-staff is friendly and efficient. Ashley and Tina at the bar are great. But, PLEASE, bring back the French onion soup! It's the best we've had, and we have family that actually insists on going here every time they visit especially for the onion soup. Hopefully, it's on the menu again soon. In any case, it's always a good time, good meal, and good service.

I've been here multiple times and recommend this place to others. My last visit we had a group over 7. We ordered cheesesteak egg rolls, nachos, and the fried pickles as apps. My family hadn't been here before so they wanted to try a bunch of the apps. I ordered an old fashioned with Buffalo Trace and the drink was made very well.

I ordered the Korean BBQ beef tips (med rare). They came out a perfect med rare and the bbq sauce was a great balence of sweetness with a little bit of spice. The meat itself was extremely tender and delicious.

The kids ordered off of the kids menu and they devoured everything, which is a hard thing to get them to do.

The waitress was extremely friendly and offered some advice about entrees to help us decide what to get. She was very attentive for the duration of our visit as well making sure our drinks were refilled.

Overall I will continue to recommend this place to anyone. They also have a happy hour special with half priced apps.

We decided to do a rare eat-in for lunch at this fabulous first-timebfind and were not disappointed. Nachos with added chicken and shrimp hit the spot. There was no skimping on any ingredient with this appetizer. We both had the salmon dish as an entree and it was as delicious as its counterpart. For drinks, we opted for mocktails. My lunch partner ordered a fruity fizz drink and I ordered a blueberry quencher, which was the only offering I didn't love. On the next go round, I ordered the fruity fizz and it was a nice improvement. Overall, delicious and satisfying dishes with a good relaxed atmosphere. We will return!

Been here several times but just realized I never left a review. Center Square Tavern is great. The bartenders are very nice and welcoming. The food is amazing. You have to check out their happy hour. It’s one of the best around.

Best food we've had in a long time. The Buffalo chicken Mac n cheese was fabulous as was the Chicken quesadilla and crab soup. The waitress was super friendly and the atmosphere was very cozy and clean!! We can't wait to go again!

The food is consistently tasty. It always comes out hot and the presentation is nice. Truly the best burgers in the area.

We had the scallops appetizer, beet salad and meatloaf. Everything was excellent as always. We will be back soon

We love their brunch menu. The crab soup is delicious and my husband said he’s never had better French Dip! Server was amazing as well.

Larry and his staff went above and beyond to accommodate the many food allergies I have so I could have a great experience at the comedy event they were hosting. Larry and their Chef went over the menu with me and put certain food aside without hesitation. They truly take care of their customers. The food and service was excellent!!

Amazing food with phenomenal service, found this gem and will definitely be back the next time we are in town, our server Madison was one in a million, wish I had 4 of her working for me!

I met my daughter here for lunch. I felt like I was watching "Cheers" because everyone knew her name. The food and service were great. The staff were friendly and helpful. I tried the chili and loved it.

Had a group of friends meeting up for lunch. We have no complaints as the food and service was very good. Sorry I don't remember the waitress name, she was very attentive to us.

Great good and drinks and our server was awesome. I had the shrimp and scallop risotto entree and it was amazing! The rum bucket drink was also refreshing!

I stopped here while passing through the area. I really wanted a burger, but saw the braised short ribs on the menu. When they came, I began to cut into them with my forte. The outside crust was very crisp. I thought for sure the ribs were overdone. But they were the most succulent and tasteful short ribs that I’ve had in a very long time, possibly ever. The cheesecake is excellent too. The service was equally good with friendly wait staff.

It’s a laid-back and locally owned place, so if you are ever in the Swedesboro area, definitely give it a try!

We’ve enjoyed many great lunches and dinners here since we discovered this neighborhood gem after moving to a neighboring town in 2021. We have never been disappointed by anything we’ve ordered and truly appreciate the high quality offerings of this scratch kitchen! We honestly would eat here every week if there were vegan options!

Sat at the bar for our first visit. Drinks were great. Burger was cooked perfectly. Cauliflower steak was fantastic. We will be back.

Great experience here this past Saturday. Our party was 6 people (we had reservations - arrived early and we were seated immediately). Great selection of food.... meat, fish, burgers, soups, salads and some local beers on tap as well. I had the salmon which was very very good! Husband had the pork chop (tried it and it will be what I'll be having the next time we go there!) Everyone else loved their meals as well (filet, cheeseburger and mahi mahi) and dessert (fried cookie dough and chocolate raspberry cheesecake) was to die for!! Our server was Tiffany and she was great! Answered all of questions and was fun and friendly. Will certainly return to this place for sure!
