TownePlace Suites by Marriott Salt Lake City-West Valley

We did our 50 person company meeting at this location. I have done many meetings over the years at hotels but this one blew my mind. The staff was beyond amazing Lola and all of the group took care of us. It was set up so well and nice. The Exec team wants to use this location now. Hot coffee at 5 AM and everything was spotless in the building. 10/10 would recommend.

Can’t say enough about this place - we stayed here one night for a concert at the Great Saltair and we were taken care of! The front desk person was so welcoming and accommodating she deserves kudos! A pleasant surprise and if I can give a commendation to the front desk person working on the evening of 18 May, then please Mr. Marriott - pass it on!!

I forgot to take pics on the first day, so pics are from the second day. The staff was nice and friendly. The rooms are clean. The hotel is located by several restaurants and shopping stores. I didn't care too much for the breakfast.

It was an extended stay paid for by my company for my last two months working, so it was a temporary home. Me, my wife, our 4-year-old son, and 3 kitties stayed here from October 1st-December 2nd.

The staff was thoughtful and attentative to our concerns, and they always answered our questions as best they could. Ludeen, Lola, Nancy, all of the front desk attendants, housekeeping, & kitchen staff were so helpful and never stepped away from being helpful.

The free continental breakfasts were nutritious and delicious. We never got tired of it, and they did what they could to mix up the variety of entrees to the best of their abilities.

The room was a 2-queen bed with an armchair, desk, nightstands, and big screen with good wifi free of charge. The suite had a kitchenette containing a dishwasher, full-size refrigerator, 2-eyed stove, a microwave, a wall of cabinets and kitchen furnishings. It also had a full size bathroom and a walk-in closet. It was exceptional for our accommodations.

The staff even put together a Trick or Treat for their guests between our hotel and the Hampton next door during Halloween, which was really cool. Our son really loved it. We even got to watch the Ring of Fire solar eclipse right from our room window.

This hotel was pretty convenient to a large number of our access points in the Salt Lake area and even added a few more to our list when we moved in for our stay.

When we come back to visit the Salt Lake area, we absolutely will insist on staying at this hotel again. I kick myself too for not enrolling in the Marriott Bonvoy membership program. Could've made bank in points on an extended stay. Still, what a nice last two months we had in Utah. We love this area, and this hotel was just one more special piece for what was a memorable 11 years living in Utah with the last 6 in Salt Lake/West Valley. Thank you, West Valley Mariott Bonvoy.

Customer service here can’t be beat in the location is perfect so many things within walking distance. Highly recommend this hotel.

Due to flooding issues at my house we needed a hotel room over the holiday weekend. After calling a few hotels that were booked up, we walked in to this hotel and were greeted by a very friendly front desk associate. He was amazing and even though they were almost at capacity he was able to fit us in. Since we didn't know how long we'd have to stay I would speak to a front desk associate almost every day to extend to the next day. Every single associate was so friendly and worked magic for us! We stayed 5 nights. The housekeeping was very accommodating as well. The breakfast, in my opinion, was really good. Every time I was getting breakfast I always saw the attendant freshening up the food. So it was all very fresh. The stay was a breath of fresh air and didn't add the the stress we were dealing with. Thank you very much for lightening our load and making things a bit easier for us!!!

Traveled in to Salt Lake for a week long business trip, was very impressed with the room and service. The morning breakfast was very good, GREAT COFFEE!! Loved how conveniently close everything was...Target, multiple restaurants, banks...and even a movie theater, all within walking distance. The staff was very friendly and the facility as a whole was very clean and accommodating. Highly recommend!!

We came there to visit our friends that are going to Tennessee. It's a very good location and place to be. I love the rooms. Are you guys have excellent service Thank you. It was going to the evening we visited.

Update: after I first left this review. The manager reached out to me through email requesting gift card information and applied the credits to my stay. So a happy ending after all. I’m glad this gets resolved.

Unable to take a Marriott gift card, untreated/unprofessional staff. When I was checking in, the front desk was unable to figure out how to use a Marriott gift card and manager Ludeen came out and said she will call corporate right away and will help me with the issue and continue to check me in. The morning after, when I was checking out, Ludeen is not there and left no note, a different front desk staff is confused again and proceeds to telling me because I’m checked in/paid already, basically I’m screwed.
Nobody is here is trying to help me and just wants to go on with their day protecting nothing happened.

very nice hotel! would highly recommend, especially when traveling with pets. The staff was very nice.

The housekeeping staff and the clerks really go out of there way to make you feel at home.

The rooms are spacious, clean, and have nice kitchenettes, with full sized refrigerators.

Continental breakfast is provided, hot and fresh, each day. It also includes the waffle makers, and fresh fruit.

The pool and hot tub are nice as well.

Staff was great, some of the kindest and friendliest customer service I've ever received! Offered us an incredible deal on a suite with FULL kitchen due to low occupancy at the time of our visit. Staff was great with our dog and she had plenty of places to potty. Great outdoor space for relaxing. Entire hotel is extremely clean and well-kept, from common areas to rooms. Property and rooms are well-lit. Super comfy bedding. Delicious breakfast. Absolutely no criticisms whatsoever.

I have been staying here for a 6 week stay. The location is great for having to work here however. The hotel had water problems and what appeared to be a broken pipe. The guys working were diligent and did everything they could to fix the problem.

I highly recommend this hotel. We stayed for three evenings while visiting Salt Lake City before traveling to another part of Utah. The pool and fitness center were open by reservation, but we did not have time to use either of those amenities. Under the circumstances, breakfast was just fine, wrapped muffins, granola bars, and sealed juice cups.

I never saw staff without a mask and it seemed most of the guests were complying with the mask mandate. We had the two-queen room, which was spacious and we did not hear other guests at all. The shower and toilet were separated from the counter, which the family and I appreciate so individuals can get ready at a counter and at the same time someone is showering. There is a full kitchen area which is nice for one who is staying longer. The room was clean and we had no issues with housekeeping.

The location is fantastic because it is close to everything. I highly recommend this location if you do not want to be by airport noise or the downtown area. If we are in the Salt Lake City area again, we would most likely choose this hotel again.

Excellent hotel. We have to stay here since our home got flooded by the fire sprinkler system and it needs to be completely redone. Our insurance was nice to cover our stay until our hone is fixed. The hotel is great-the rooms are big, clean and the equipment is new. The staff is friendly and very helpful. We love the free breakfast every morning. So it has been a great experience.

Every employee that we came in contact during our stay was more than polite and willing to help in any way. We brought a group of high school students for a retreat and they were always making sure that we were well taken care of. The conference room was perfect for our needs, the patio was great for us to cook dinner, breakfast was perfect for our needs and the rooms were great.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The Breakfast is above standard. Rooms are clean and fresh.

Our experience was fantastic! The amenities are exceptional for the price, going above the norm in consideration for a guest. The in-room kitchen was amazing!
There wasn't a single employee that was anything less than courteous, friendly and professional. We have traveled and stayed in many hotels, this was one of the best and wish we could stay longer.
Rose Taukoi was extremely pleasant and professional. People like her put the most in the host of hospitality! Keep up the good work!
