Beach Shack

Booked the Ocean Shack room for my daughter's 30th birthday! The room was spacious and clean. The view 2nd floor view was beautiful overseeing the pool and view of the ocean. The staff was absolutely spectacular from the concierge, valet, pool attendee, cabana/ beach staff. Beach Shack comes highly recommended, close to everything. We will be back:) Thank you for a wonderful time!!

The staff went above and beyond with an early check in, courteous turn down service, and even helped our group with providing ice after hours.

We stayed in one of the newly renovated beach front suites on the second floor. Spacious deck with full view of the ocean, nicely decorated and high end finishes. It was one of the best rooms we've rented in over 25 years of the Jersey shore. Can't wait to go back in the summer. Access to pool and the Rusty nail with it's outdoor beach and fire pits make it feel like a resort.

Very clean and bright place, right at the beach, nice beachy bar with live music in the evening. Ideal with our 2 kids.

This is for the bar, not the hotel. The bar is a great beach experience in Cape May and shouldn't be overlooked!

Absolutely great hotel. Super clean rooms and just clean around entire hotel, in general. Incredibly attentive staff and super responsive on text. Great pool and beach service. All super casual and comfortable. Will definitely recommend and will definitely go again. Definitely pricey but everything was executed so well I felt it was worth it in the end. Everything was just so convenient for our family beach vacation.

I was a little skeptical when I was handed a key on a ring…a real 80’s vibe. Then I found out there was no elevator and my bad back had to go to the 3rd floor. BUT it turned out to be a fabulous experience! Ricardo carried my luggage and there was free valet parking. No need to bring beach chairs, umbrella, or even a beach towel…. It is complimentary and they set it all up. They will even bring drinks and lunch from the menu that is used at the nice pool. The room had everything we needed and room service text us to ask if we needed anything like more coffee pods or towels. It was a great place to stay… near the beach and about 5 blocks from Washington Mall. Plus the Rusty Nail is steps away and we got a delicious dinner there. I hope to stay there again!

Great place for me and my wife and 2 little kids, very accommodating and the grounds are kept so well, there is a guy picking each flower to keep them fresh, pool is beautiful, easy parking, very quiet, updated rooms, on site of the Rusty Nail, place to be with sand and live music outdoor/indoor restaurant/bar. Everything you need!! Will certainly be back! Kid friendly and even without the kids it is an excellent atmosphere!!

This place was impressively clean! We took an overnight trip to Cape May and picked the Beach Shack as it was one of the closest to Sunset Beach. The room was kinda small, but for 2 people it was great. Comfortable bed! Right across the street from the ocean, which I loved. I highly recommend the Beach Shack. We are actually going back next month--that's how nice it was! They have right on the property and a huge firepit which is really nice along with live music. Great place to be.

I would give Sierra at the front desk a 10 star. She walked me through the booking recommending a room that was perfect for our stay. Sierra was also on site for our check in and I am fairly certain facilitated our late checkout intuitively knowing we were on our anniversary.
The room was clean and very nice, mattress was firm and the sheets were comfortable.
Excellent location to be able to view both the sunset and sunrise over the water from the balcony or across the street on the beach.
The Rusty Nail was convenient for a drink and pub fare while watching the Phils.

Our stay was perfect. They accepted us with open arms when our other hotel messed up. There rooms are great, bathrooms are updated nice and clean. The pool was great spacious enough for everyone. I loved having the option to order food and drinks as well. The beach is right across the street and beach shacks provides chairs, towels, and umbrellas all the time which is wonderful. Location is perfect! We forgot a sweatshirt in the room and beach shack was kind enough to let us know and ship it back. Definitely will be staying again!

I was very pleasantly surprised by the Beach Shack. I honestly cannot find one bad thing to say. The place was great…. Great location, great amenities, great staff! I had never been to this area before and was not sure what to expect. The room was more than sufficient and very clean. The housekeeping staff was always willing to give you anything that was needed. The beach access was so close and the staff very helpful. The pool was also great and very clean. I watched a gentleman literally sweep and wipe windows and surfaces non stop all day, the place was spotless. I don’t have a dog but I loved seeing all the happy families with their dogs enjoying these accommodations. The Rusty Nail restaurant/bar right nextdoor was ideal. Outside seating with large fire pit as well as a large indoor area and 2 bars. We loved the live music almost every day and night. The wait and hosting staff were very attentive and always kind and friendly. I will highly recommend this place to anyone!

We loved our stay here with our 1 year old! Stayed for 2 weeknights in September and it was great! The setup is easy with a small child. They provide chairs/umbrellas for the beach and the restaurant/beach bar on site is great- we could see the door to our room
From the bar and our baby monitor worked! They have live music every night (until 9) so it was nice to hang out after going out to dinner/putting the baby down. All around great stay/staff were super helpful!

I loved this hotel! The beds and pillows are amazing. The rooms are so stylish and impeccably clean. The amenities like beach chairs and umbrellas is always appreciated.

We stayed in a dog friendly room two times. We love it there. The room was nice and very clean. Great location and close to beach. Great beach service. chairs and umbrellas with towels included. Nice doggy essentials (bed, dishes and dog and bone). Maid service was great. Rusty Nail restaurant is great and a fun place to eat.

The staff was friendly and informative, and the rooms were extremely clean. Our beds were super comfortable, and the bathroom was surprisingly spacious. I loved that every thing I needed was within walking distance of this place and there was no need to stress over the parking situation each day. The Rusty Nail restaurant next door had live music each night of our stay, and it was nice to be able to enjoy it (and the amazing view) from the balcony of our 3rd story room. One morning, we even forgot to switch our "do not disturb" door placard before heading out, and house keeping was still courteous enough to leave fresh towels on the table outside our door. A great stay over all, and I don't have a single complaint; my husband and I hope to visit again soon!

This is a lovely relaxed beach hotel right on the beach with comfortable, modern rooms, plenty of parking, and a nice big pool. My favorite part is you can stroll onto the beach and the staff will set up lounge chairs and umbrellas for you at no cost (we tipped them, though) AND they provide towels and towel chair covers! So you don't have to lug towels to the pool and the beach at all and deal with drying them constantly during your vacation. The staff was very friendly. There is a very beachy restaurant attached (the Rusty Nail) that does good food and outdoor seating for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The only thing we wished was that there was room service for the one day we came in and were too tired to go out to eat.

I stayed at the beach shack with my family for a weekend. The staff was friendly and responsive. The team proactively reaches out via text before you arrive to find out if there is anything they can do before you arrive, provides helpful information regarding parking and even sends a text when your room is ready. The transparency is excellent (rather than you checking in with the hotel to find out if your room is ready). The room itself was spacious and clean. The kitchenette was perfect for a 2 night stay with my newborn daughter.
The location of the hotel is excellent, you are right on the beach and close to town.

We loved staying at the beach shack! The rooms were clean, the location was tops and the service was outstanding. We’ll definitely be back!
