Joe's Crab Shack

Finally had a date night with my fiancé, been so busy wedding planning. Lol. We both have never been to Joe's Crab Shack and we both love seafood. Everything was so delicious. We started with these fun drinks where you get to keep the cup. Then we had the fried calamari, it had a nice little kick and fried perfectly. My fiancé got the east coast platter and I got the shrimp and seafood ensemble. The portions are great and everything was just so good. We even signed up for their rewards program, that offer great options to many other restaurants. Definitely going to come back again and again.

I was coming from The Jersey Shore and had a craving for Scallops. Couldn't find anything local, so I decided to stop in Piscataway, N.J.

Thought about different places and decided on Joe's Crab Shack. I had been here years ago and wasn't too excited about it. I figured it was worth another try. Oh My Goodness!! I was glad I did!!!

The place was steadily busy, no mask are required at this time and there wasn't a wait.

Our SERVER PROFESSIONAL was a nice young woman who also happened to be The Bartender. My first question was if they had Scallops. She said "No". I was disappointed, however my focus turned to other items. They have a vast menu, so it was easy to find an alternative. However, let me back up a bit.

First, the drinks!! They have a "GREAT" selection of beer and mixed drinks. I ordered a beer and then saw a drink named "Shark Bite". It looked and the combination of liquors sounded interesting. Since I was in a Shore Mood there was NO resisting.

When "THE SHARK" hit my table, I was excited like a kid on the playground!!! There was this cute little shark on the side of the glass filled w/ Grenadine. It was KOOL.... The best part, the little Shark could be taken home!!

Now.... for the meal. I ordered Calamari, Crab Balls and I forget the other thing in the picture (sorry about that). Everything came out quickly and was tasty!!

For my main dish, of course a Steampot. It was filled w/ multiple types of seafood and corn on the cob.

This was a "FANTASTIC" experience from the moment we walked in the door, until we left.

All of the staff were professional, friendly and courteous. KUDOS to Management!!

Excallent place! Great food, the place to go for people whoo loves seafood! Their calamary, balls of fire and the crab daddy feast pot is my favorite. Beer is cold all the time and the place is very clean.

Delicious steam pot, wish the potatoes, corn and sausage was cut up but that's ok. Drink options allowed you to have keepsake glasses/cups. Dessert cake was huge and of course also good.

Food WAS AWESOMMEE! My boyfriend and I went on a appetizer splurge when we got there. We ordered the crab nachos, fish tacos, Joe’s Classic Sampler, a. tab cake sandwich and a chicken sandwich.

Joe’s use to have crab nachos, but now they have shrimp and crab dip. I asked the waitress if they could give me something similar to what crab nachos use to be, and they sure did! The chef came out personally to show me what he created and it was absolutely delicious! 10/10.

Went for lunch. Place was empty. Joe's classic was great. Thanks for a delicious time.

I've been visiting Joe's Crab Shack for close to 10 years.

The service is always....
phenomenal - one of the things I enjoy about coming here is the attentiveness and friendliness of the staff here; the waitress comes to the table on a frequent basis, and managers are always present, ensuring diners are enjoying the service, as well as their meal.

When I visit Joe's, I enjoy the various steam-pot options, as well as the appetizers, such as the crab nachos, and sampler, which comes with a great tasting shrimp and lobster dip (the artichoke dip is my favorite, but it's a seasonal item). The plate entrees are also satisfying; I enjoy the mahi dish which comes with rice and steamed vegetables. Other fish options are red fish and tilapia.

The food is always fresh and very tasty, and the serving size is satisfying and adequate in proportion when compared to other competitors.

The atmosphere is enjoyable, but can get pretty loud, which tends to lull overtime, as you start settling in and engage in conversation with your companions, and begin "chowing down" on your meal. If you don't like seafood, don't worry, they have other options like a hamburger and fries. Wish I could show more pictures, but the food looked and smelled too good to stop and take a picture.

I recommend Joe's Crab Shack and will be visiting again.

Best seafood place in town. Love the chocolate cake

My bf and I were looking for a place to eat seafood... after stopping by 2 places with a wait of over an hour (sat night) we drove to joe's. Upon our arrival we were seated right away. Our server was nice, brought our drinks quickly, which were really good btw and we ordered the Atlantic steampot. Everything was delicious! We were too hungry to snap a pic of the food but at least I got the drinks lol. I def recommend this location, wish there was one closer to home 😊

My absolute favorite place. A bit pricey but worth it! The absolute best crab legs!

Best experience EVER!!! Apparently, the location in South Plainfield was short staffed today. I couldn't tell!! The drinks arrived fast and the meal arrived just as fast. Everything was delicious! The staff was professional and friendly. Thank you for restoring my faith in the restaurant industry. There are still hidden jewels to visit.

We went first time and without much dinner planning, but it was a memorable great experience. Great food, drink and staff were amazing and friendly. Recommended you to visit once and you will decide to return again for sure.

I treated my significant other for her birthday to hoes crab shack. At first I was kind of worried because, it was Friday and not a soul was in the restaurant. We sat down ordered the balls of fire to start. They were amazing. I then ordered the coconut shrimp which was great. She ordered the crab broil. Must have been great, she ate every bit of it. It's a younger crowd that works there. But no complaints. They were all very respectful and did overall a great job. So food, service and atmosphere was on point and should be matched at every restaurant everywhere.

Had the place to ourselves...great service and great company.
