Beautifkl little museum with just a donation as admission. The exhibition is quite interesting but for me the most interesting part was the little movie, where you can see James Dean acting in many of the black&white TV films. That fave me a great and complete different perspective on this actor.

This Gallery has 4.8 stars for a reason! The displays are tastefully done, loaded with memorabilia from James Dean's birth until his untimely death. With 3-4 rooms to explore there are lots of items to see. The owner, Lenny, is also a fount of information and provides a map to Dean's family farm and burial site among other interesting places in Fairmount.

Had a great visit to the James Dean Gallery today. Lenny and David were great hosts and had lots of fascinating information to share about the late, great James Dean. Highly recommend a visit to the expertly and lovingly crafted gallery as well as the cool antique/vintage shop they have put together. Lenny gave us directions to get around the rest of town as well and see all the major James Dean spots.

This was my second visit to the James Dean Gallery. The gentleman who greeted us gave us so much information and made us feel very welcomed. There is so much James Dean memorabilia and pieces of his life to see. I highly recommend if you're in the Fairmount area or looking to see more about James Dean's life stop here.

Wow, what a great museum filled with many, many James Dean memorabilia items! Very interesting displays and a lot of history here. I learned a lot about James Dean's life and death and enjoyed everything. Lenny was the attendant on duty and he obviously enjoys his job as he was very cheerful, helpful and full of information that was not readily obvious in the various displays. A great time was had!

We drove up from Knoxville heading to Decatur and found this gem. The house is absolutely beautiful, and the museum was just as amazing. The gentleman working was so gracious and kind and gave us all the information on the area and everything we needed to know about James Dean! He was also a monster lover and showed us his Frankenstein model! Can't wait to come back when we have more time to see the whole town!

You really can’t go to Fairmount without stopping by the James Dean gallery! There’s so much memorabilia and history to see. Talking to Lenny and hearing his and David’s story was definitely the highlight of our visit. Their dedication to Dean and the gallery is inspiring. Lenny set us up for a good trip by giving us a map with all of the Dean spots to see and recommendations.

A must visit establishment for Dean enthusiasts. I’ve known the owners Dave and Lenny for 30+ years. Friendliest people you’d ever want to meet. If it’s your first time in town, Lenny will gladly give you a map and historical insight on all the points of interest and they are both happy to answer any questions. To me, it’s a historic landmark!!!

This is a wonderful quick stop in the middle of our travels.. located in Fairmont, Indiana, it brought us some extra excitement. The host was wonderful and full of knowledge and was willing to answer all of our questions. This truly makes James Dean's legacy shine bright and shows exactly who he was.
It is completed with a video room of rare footage, plenty of artifacts, and photos..
The host also gave us a map and explained where his gravesite is (also in Fairmont), his boyhood home (Fairmount), and where he got his first motorcycle (Fairmount).
I give this place a solid 5 stars easily! I rate a MUST visit! Both the gallery and the gravesite!

We lucked into finding the gallery on a recent road trip. We were pleasantly surprised that not only is the museum free, there is also a nice variety of gifts and memoribilia for purchase. The nice gentleman working, Lenny, was kind enough to give us a wonderful history lesson and recommendations for other local sites and eataries. You must stop in the museum if you're a James Dean fan! The city of Fairmount is full of places to see and great restaurants to enjoy!

Headed out exploring on my motorcycle today and ended up in Fairmount. Stopped at the James Dean Gallery and met the Owner Dave, and Lenny, who runs the gift shop. Really cool place, and two super nice guys. Very knowledgeable on James Dean and the town of Fairmount. Stop in and say hello to the guys and check out some very cool memorabilia. Also met Lenny's sweet dog Cleo.

This place and it’s owners are a treasure. Definitely check out the screening room in the back and the handmade artwork. So much to see and Lenny & David are a pleasure to talk to. Give Cleopatra their dog some pets for me. ♥

We loved stopping here today and getting to see all of this for free. We then went to the grave site and left a rock that said Dreamer on it. Don't forget to sign the rock by his grave also!!

This was an awesome look at James Dean memorabilia as well as offering a showing of some James Dean television roles. The books and antiques were pretty neat too, as well as the music. Lenny (I hope I remembered his name correctly) was sooo helpful and friendly, and I appreciated his guidance in telling me about all the James Dean spots in town to go see.
