Worth the wait. Expect long lines and standing room only. It’s cause it’s that good. Strawberry shortcake season is the best!

I've heard about it for a long time, but this was my first time to get there. It was getting crowded when we arrived and I expected a long wait. They were hustling and we had a $175 order before us! But we still had food in 15-20 minutes. Everyone was pleasant. We went for the ice cream, but the food was good. I had a harvest chicken sandwich which had a nice large grilled chicken breast and yummy toppings. The side salad was full of chunky veggies which we loved, but probably not everyone's idea of a salad. My grandson loved his double burger with large patties and a nice soft bun. Granddaughter liked the taco salad. The sundae and shake menu was outrageous. We studied it while waiting for our food. Then I ordered it when we were eating. It worked out well. I loved my strawberry shortcake! Everyone else had shakes and I thought they were runny, but they were happy. It was a fun experience!

Friendly excellent service. We ordered shaved ham and cheddar sandwich, Nacho Supreme with a side of jalapeños, and of course we shared the amazing Strawberry 🍓 Shortcake with ice-cream and whipped cream (enough for 2 ppl) 🥰

Great experience every time I've taken my cross country team there after a meet at Taylor University! The staff has always been top notch and quick to get us taken care of. The ice cream has to be one best in the area and we will be back in October to once again get ice cream.

Ivanhoes is our absolute favorite stop! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The portion sizes are unmatched, leaving us satisfied every time. The Buffalo sauce is a flavor explosion – outta this world! When traveling through Upland, Indiana, Ivanhoes is a must-visit. The welcoming atmosphere and Casey's recommendation make it a top-tier experience. Stop by and indulge in the deliciousness – you won't be disappointed!

CRAZY busy place in the middle of nowhere Indiana. All the food and ice cream was great BUT be prepared to wait as they have a lot of workers but they also have three to four times the number of customers constantly coming in. They truly hustle to get the orders done as fast as they can, but like I said, be prepared to be patient and strike up conversation with somebody next to you while you wait, and wait, as they have a CONSTANT stream of customers.

Loved this quaint ice cream oasis! A thousand options to choose from & all delicious! Food is delicious as well!! Definitely try the strawberry shortcake! I had mine with chocolate ice cream as pictured. Enjoy ❤

Great Breaded Tenderloin and Tots!! Great Root Beer.

I have yet to have something that I didn't like. Great onion rings, cheese fries and burgers. The ice cream stands alone. With 100 flavors of shakes & sundaes just on the menu, not too mention the unlimited combos you can ask for from there, you are guaranteed to find a favorite here. Absolutely unforgettably amazing!

Food was great. Got tenderloin sandwich and chicken salad with fruits, both were excellent. Service was a bit slow with so many groups of people coming in. The dining area wasn't very clean and was stuffy inside.

My sister came here when she was at college 20 years ago. Passing through the area and stopped. Long lines but kept moving. The ice cream was delicious. Food was really good! The fresh fruit was fabulous! Staff was very friendly. I now understand why they had long lines. I will stop back when we are close by!!

Took an hour long road trip tonight just to get some of the best ice cream around! Ivanhoe's Drive In is the best! This hidden gem has some cool atmosphere and nostalgia, but the selection of shakes and sundae's can't be beat. I had the Peanut Butter Fudge sundae and the wife had the German Chocolate Cake sundae. So good!! Make sure you check this place out. 🍨🍨

Always great. My grandchildren love the cheese fries. Food is pricey but good and fresh. Tables could be kept cleaner, we went 2 times this week and tables was nasty, but with Covid I always bring something to clean with. Staff always nice

Holy smokes this place is good. I had a pumpkin shake, a big panther and an Aloha sundae. Be prepared to wait. Get the menu so you are ready to order. There are 100 different options for shakes/sundaes.

Great ice cream shakes and burgers. Super friendly staff and the restaurant was nice and clean. It was very busy when I was there and it got a bit loud, but that's to be expected from a restaurant that caterers to college students.

No one can ever truly have a Hoosier life if they never had the chance to enjoy a meal and ice cream treat from Ivanhoe's. Having all the markings of a classic, down-to-earth restaurant, Ivanhoe's has a simple, diner-like setting that's comfortable to sit in and a delicious menu of sandwiches, salads, and sides that can never go wrong for you. And, most famously, its unique ice cream selection, along with an extensive sundae and shake menu will make you leave with a feeling like you've come back home like no other place has before. One must come to Ivanhoe's just once in their lives if they wish for Indiana life to treat them right.

There's a good reason they've been in business for so long! I can't speak to their food as I've only had ice cream there, but they have a concoction for every palate, and the toppings are tasty and plentiful!

Stopped on our way back to FW from Daleville. 1,000% worth thee side trip! SOOO MANY SUNDAE/SHAKE OPTIONS! Today's special was Strawberry Shortcake. I also tried the Orange Pineapple Shake = HEAVEN!

Wow, I've never seen so many choices of ice cream and shakes on a menu. The brownie and vanilla ice cream is top-notch, I'll report back on the other 547 choices in follow-up visits.

Love this place. Huge selection of ice creams and sundaes. Local crowd favorite. Trojan 2 Sundae is my favorite. Fries are delicious. Would post a pic of the. But ate them too fast.
