John F. Kennedy Memorial Overlook

If you are passing through Heber, this is a neat little stop! Take a moment to overlook the dam and reservoir; take in a scenic view of nature filled with water, trees, and rocks. There are also bathrooms. There is also a bust of John F Kennedy. I bet the view is even more beautiful during Spring and Summer!

Very interesting place to visit. Location of one of if not the last public speech given by John F Kennedy. Beautiful area. At the dam overlook you can see for miles and miles across this section of the lake and a ways down the river. Built for the purpose of flood control but serves as a bountiful supplier of power generated at the dam.

JFK overlook part has a breathtaking view of greers ferry lake. It's a great place to stop set take a rest, with bathrooms available for your use. During my visit I noticed that the bronze statue head of John F Kennedy is no longer there sadly.

Be sure to snap a few pictures make a few memories. Don't forget to proceed on and drive to the bottom side of the dam and check out all the wonderful camp sites. Maybe even do a little trout fishing while you're there.

Clean bathrooms and the area is well taken care of.

This is an easy place to pull off and get a beautiful view of the dam. It's peaceful and quiet. They have plaques that tell the history of building the dam

Very beautiful views here. you can see the big dam and lake, and Little Red River. These areas are pretty amazing because they have a lot of beautiful viewpoints.

Great place to view the dam and river valley. Gates automatically close at 7pm

This is ways one of my favorite spots to visit. We always travel to this lake for a quick getaway and it never disappoints. This place offers a great view of the dam for great pictures and to spend some family time.

Grounds were lovely manicured and bathrooms clean.

Well maintained place to walk the dog and view the dam. The bathroom is clean and functional. The structures on site are really interesting examples of mid century modern.
