So beautiful!! Love it here. Really enjoyed our spot "H35" it was shaded all day with just small areas that sun came through. My Vehicle was also in the shade. A few squirrels playing and coming up to visit in the mornings. So many birds to listen to and watch. The water was flooded so we didn't swim but there is a nice area back there to enjoy the water. We stayed two nights and would have stayed longer if we could have. Just a quick getaway. You don't want to miss this State park. There are every kind of camping from pull through spots for large RV's to tent with no water or electric. Oh, the showers were clean and worked as they should but watch the benches they are rusted metal that should have been replaced a few years ago by the looks of them.

The campgrounds are spacious, well maintained, and a great spot to camp. The restrooms and showers on site are clean and well maintained. The marina is wonderful and the staff at "The Dam Store" are friendly, helpful, and go out of their way to insure your time there is pleasant and enjoyable. One of my favorite places to visit. Highly recommend for a stress free, relaxing experience.

Best campground on our whole 2 week camping trip through Arkansas and Tennessee! We were so lucky to find this place as we left the one we had reserved immediatley after being victims of COMPLETE false advertising (Blue Clouds RV Resort - Do NOT recommend!). We stayed in N Loop. Peaceful all sites are wooded, plenty of shade and trees. Quiet and relaxing. There was a trail across the street from our site that leads to a breathtaking view on the cliff of Greers Ferry Lake below!! Spacious sites with level pads and easy to get in and out. So many things to do within minutes of the campground. Swimming beach and lake access inside the campground, go anywhere there and set up for the day, swimming and fishing. Right outside the entrance is the Dam Site Marina and public swimming area. Beautiful lake!! Crystal clear, cold water. Kids could jump off the rocks - VERY deep lake! All the day use areas and other parks in the area, including JFK State Park on the river. Fish hatchery and TROUT jumping out of the water all day long! Go FISHING!! I cannot say enough great things about this park and location. If you are looking for a perfect place to take your family even for a weekend if you are close by.

This was my first time visiting Heber Springs, Greers Ferry Lake and the Dam Site Campground.
The Park Attendants were very helpful and friendly.
The facilities are nicer than most I have known in parks meaning that there were like 6 bathrooms with showers at the section I was in and there was even heat in there for your shower.

The playground was nice as was a peninsula that had geese nesting on it.

There are many different things to do at this location. We fished by the Dam along the river. I caught nothing with minnows or artificial bait but one member had a couple bites and it was a large fish maybe a walleye that flopped above the water at one point.

There are many great views of the river and lake. I did not walk the trail system that is within the park here so I look forward to checking that out in the future.

The map in my pictures has the primitive campsites circled.

This campground has the best shower facilities on Greer's Ferry Lake. Lots of lakefront campsites. And plenty of spaces not directly on the bank. Good family vacation or weekend trip. And of course I enjoy fishing here.

It's a great place for the entire family of all ages. They have different camp sites with different accommodations for people that are rolling in their RVs or for people that want to pitch up a tent for more traditional camping. The bathrooms were very clean and kept it stocked with toilet paper 🧻 in every stall. It even had hot water for you to shower in. Also they are very accommodating for those with handicap ♿ needs. It's a short walking distance to the water if you just want to grab a fishing a pole and go fishing. Although I didn't catch any fish while we were there but that's just always been my luck fishing. However I still enjoyed spending the time with my son. The part we enjoyed the most was when we went to the swimming beach. It had some huge cliffs to jump from into the water. Some where low enough that just about anyone would jump from it but for those that like the thrill of jumping from heights that most people chicken out before they think twice about doing the jump. Well they have some very high ones to jump from too. There's plenty of picnic tables for those who want bring some food and grill out . So overall it's a cool place to go camping.

Beautiful, safe, and very well maintained. Spent three nights. Enjoyed our peaceful site, the swimming area, trails and friendly staff. Ask at the gate to see the tarantulas! We got a lesson about nature.
Our new favorite people and campground! Making plans for next year, and not even home yet.

Campground was clean and quiet, even on one of the busiest camping weekends of the year. The only complaint I have is that the trail the lake was covered in poison ivy, but that's nature, so take it or leave it. Beachside was clean with gradually declining bank, perfect for the little ones so splash and play. Showers and bathrooms cleaned daily, warm water with great pressure. They also have family bathrooms with a shower attached that are very convenient for families with multiple small children.
