Lorado Smokehouse & Grill

We enjoyed an unbelievable lunch at Lora’s Smokehouse & Grill. The burgers were amazing. I have never had burgers quite like these before. The french fries were done well and the Mac and cheese bites were had noticed were made with pepper jack cheese I think! Talk about it! Love this little joint and hope to come back soon.

Good burgers. Good prices for 1/2 burgers. They have a good perfect size menu with not too much and not too less. Clean establishment with nice and helpful staff. A little different ordering and service style on a weekday but that's fine. Wasn't busy. Have steaks and pork steaks on Friday and Saturday nights. Will definitely try that some weekend.

Great burgers.& sandwiches! Worth the drive!

This is not a place you might think of when you want some catfish, but let me tell you, it was sooo good! The fish was fresh and the seasoned breading so crisp. And the hush puppies some of the best I’ve had. Absolutely delicious. Thank you Laredo!

You ever heard that term "looks can be deceiving" because if so, it definitely applies to this place. I must admit, I've heard of and have seen this place previous to my visit but never thought much of it and never bothered to stop by because, well because of the way it seems based on the outside appearance. I'll just go ahead and admit that I was plain wrong.

In addition to the grocery and beer selections they have right across the Craighead County line, they have an awesome eatery contained within this spot. The eatery has a wide selection of foods as well and has everything from burgers to sandwiches to BBQ to fish. They even have specials during certain days and desserts to match.

My wife and I visited during this trip and during our visit we each had one of the 1/2 lb burgers. They did not disappoint and we're legitimate half pounders. They even offer a nice selection of toppings too including jalapenos, grilled onions, and mushrooms in addition to the regular toppings you might find at other burger joints. There were a steady stream of customers before and after our arrival but our food was served fairly quickly. The dining area offered a way to social distance too. The burgers were hot and juicy and the fries and tots were as well. They had banners and plaques around the building mentioning that they were the best burgers in NEA and I can honestly see why.

Unfortunately, the burgers and fries/tots were a bit much, in an extremely good way, for us so we didn't partake in any dessert offerings but as mentioned before this isn't going to be our last stop. Looking forward to trying out the fish and pork steaks, among other menu options. Keep up the good food guys, A+ from me!

Edit: I have visited this place several times since the visit above and everything remains good. I had a pork steak plate and a catfish plate and both were excellent. The onion rings are good too. I'm going to have to try breakfast at this place next.

This Country Store and restaurant is an absolutely amazing place. The food is well prepared the staff is friendly and it is well worth the drive.

Ordered pizza from this place and requested extra sauce and got the perfect amount adding on that the crew was kind and welcoming!

Best food, great service and I'll be back

We stopped in on the way home to Kansas City during a one-day round trip to the area. What a great surprise. Catfish, po' boy, and fried green tomatoes were great. Disappointed our to-go platter was missing the hush puppies, but we had to get on the road and didn't go back to ask for them. Fries were just standard crinkle cut. No complaints, but nothing special. But the catfish more than made up for it. Fresh and seasoned and breaded beautifully. We'll be back if ever in the area again.

Great food, the location isn't great and the atmosphere is interesting but worth the drive for the burger.

First time here! I've heard nothing but great things about it and I can see why! This is definitely your quintessential Diner but add exceptional food and service and you've got a gem! Oh, and Stephanie is one heck of a server!

Was disappointed that they were sold out of the pork steak at 5' on a Saturday night. But I have to say that the fried catfish was the best I ever had.

Get anything. Honestly I have not had one thing that I didn't like. Their salads are great, burgers are best in NEA, and the atmosphere is relaxed. It's got a homey country feel to it. Great service and self serve drinks. Menu items recommended: any of their daily specials (especially the BBQ platter day) I do personally like their Laredo Tornado, but it is a ton of food. GO TRY IT TODAY!!!

My wife and father had both been here before and highly recommended it for both burgers and BBQ. Per my wife the only thing she hasn't cared for are the beans.

When you order, be prepared for a normal wait as food is cooked up fresh. Drinks are served through a soda fountain back and to the left of the main counter (Pepsi products). The dining room is spacious enough, but quickly filled up as we waited for our food.

I had a cheeseburger with bacon. The bacon was cooked perfectly. Normally bacon on a burger is either crispy or so chewy it pulls off the burger. The patty itself was well seasoned. I had a side of seasoned fries (also great). This is easily one of the best burgers I've ever had in a restaurant. (No wonder they've been awarded repeatedly for them).
