You've got to love this overlook. It's a spot you've got to come visit. It looks like what I'd imagine the Moon tower from Dazed and Confused to look like there is a stone pavilion where people who come and enjoy 420 or whatever leave their marks. There is a really nice trail along the Ridgeline running parallel with the road. The neighborhood you have to drive through on the way in is really pretty too.

Very scenic trail that almost loops around West Mountain. To go all the way around West Mountain start at Whittington park and take Mountain Top Trail. This will take you to West Mountain trail (North) take the trail to the left. At the shelter continue on West Mountain trail (South). This will intersect with sunset trail. Take sunset trail to the right if you want to go to the summit (out and back). If not continue and it will take you back to Mountain Top trail and back to Whittington park. I came across many different types of mushrooms. Very much enjoyed this most shaded trail.

A lot of short trails tied together, with the opportunity to do longer trails that break off the loop. It was a well marked and well-kept trail. Depending on the trails you take, it can be a steep incline. The best view of the sections we were was from where we parked.

We made it to the top of Summit Trail. It is the highest point in Garland County! My brother, Jeff had wanted to hike to the top for several years.
Determined to accomplish that goal, especially since I had traveled from Houston after a long quarantine, we made time for this adventure. It was great and well worth our efforts.
Wearing masks the entire time helps build stamina! Go for it!

It was our first visit to Hot Springs, Arkansas. Took the Sunset Trail on a sunday morning to past some time and ended up taking a 2 hr stroll. Lol. On this morning the trail had some fog that hadn't lifted yet so we took lots of photos which is why it turned into a longer walk than planned. Trail was so quiet that you could only hear the drew and leaves drop though the trees. Since it was a Sunday we even heard the church bells ringing nearby. The only wildlife we saw was a deer at the beginning of the trail. Trail is easy to walk. Mountain rock exposes itself through the woods and on the trail. There was also fallen trees and moss growing along the trail.

One of our family's favorite trails in the park (2 adults and 2 teens). Loops with the Mountain Top trail for a great one way walk. If you take it clockwise from this spot, you get the hard incline within the first half of your hike. It usually takes us about 45-60 minutes depending on wether who choose to stop to take photos/breaks, but we walk these trails a lot.

Beautiful trails. Signs are confusing. Make sure you know where you're going to come out.

Beautiful. Saw only one piece of trash the whole hike. Pretty much at an incline or decline the entire time. Wear some hard shoes. Tennis shoes were a bit too weak for this hike. Saw lots of deer. Lovely time.

Pristine trail. So pretty and quiet! There is a steep incline towards the top that is challenging, but well worth it!

I love going up there because it's peaceful and our dogs love it. If you love nature this is the place to go in Hot Springs. They also have outlooks and a picnic area.
