My father and I decided to go spend a Saturday at Mid-America recently. As a mother of grown sons and a grandmother of four, I’m pretty in tune with things that engage the kids. I noticed high levels of engagement with not only the kids, but also the adults (us included). The entrance fee was well worth it! We spent more than four hours there, and didn’t even get to see every single exhibit. I recommend taking a few snacks and drinks if you have kids that hit maximum density easily. I highly suggest going! A plus: this would be a perfect first date location.

Such a wonderful fun time! Very interactive and informative with a lot of captivating experiments. The dinosaur trek is neat to walk and the skywalk is a must see with the rope trampoline

Cool museum for kids! My toddler was entertained for 2.5 hours, which says a lot. Exhibits are hands-on and well-spaced for crowds. There is a nice fenced in area for kids under 5, too. They labeled it “preschoolers only” which is a bit misleading- it’s definitely for infants through 4-5.

Nice outdoor walking area with dinosaurs and a net/play contraption for bigger kids. Cute koi pond with little waterfalls too.

Bathroom near the entrance has a mothers’ nursery room and with a changing table and two rocking chairs- nice touch!

What a fun place for Kids and Adults!!! Plenty of things to look at and explore! Tons of things to keep everyone busy before you know it...half the day has past. We went to the Tesla show and played all day. 2 adults and 2 children was less than $50 bucks! Indoors mostly with a walking path of dinosaurs and the sky walk and fish pond outside. The kids even made a fort in the foam blocks! Highly Recommend checking this place out!!!

The Tesla theater was awesome and the kids definitely loved the cave. The Dino Trek is a nice little break and there are tons of hands on activities

We had a great time! There was so much to do. I haven't been in over 15 years, and so much has changed. I miss the large aquarium they had, but it was nice to have the outdoor area with the fish. Great place for young, impressionable minds. My granddaughter is 8 & absolutely loved it.

I was looking for a place to go if it rained while at the campground. We went anyway and had a blast. There are so many interesting and educational displays for ALL ages! You can easily spend a few hours there or more.

This place was so cool! Between the live exhibits and hands on experiments it was so much fun. We came with out 7 year old and she was having a hard time picking just one thing to do. The Dino trek was a lot of fun and the solar system video was perfect for her age and knowledge level.

This is one of the funnest places my family has ever visited. From the lifelike Dinosaur trail walk, to the interactive displays, to the Toylandia exhibit it was an all around hit. We will be coming back again and again for years.

Excellent exhibits tons for kiddos of all ages to do/learn and explore. Their is even a little play area for tots. The outside is huge, we loved the Skywalk, the dino trek trail was fun, the koi pond was beautiful, we could've easily spent longer here but unfortunately their were like 4 different schools having field trips and the big kids were pretty crazy. In the future I'll be calling ahead and coming when their are no field trips. Other than that we had fun and highly recommend visiting!

We made a special trip for my nephews birthday and had a blast! We have not been to Mid America since we were in elementary school on a school field trip and it has changed so much in the last 30 years that even the adults had fun. There was plenty to see and it was spaced out enough where multiple people could look at the displays and play with the features at each one. There was plenty of hand sanitizer stations mounted throughout the facility since everything was able to be touched and played with.
The dinosaur exhibit was neat. The kids could color a picture of different dinosaurs, name it, and then place it on a special scanner that would then pop it up onto a TV where it walked around the terrain as if in a cartoon.
There was also quite a bit outside as far as walking trails, rope bridges, and a massive rope net that was 100 ft off the ground that you could lay on and look at the nature trails below. Definitely a fun place for adults and children. Can't wait to go back!

We spent at least 3 hours here. It's a great place to peak your child's curiosity and burn some energy. We really enjoyed the indoor maze! Even the adults got in (it's hard on the knees, so be careful). It's a great weekend outing. Everything from dinosaurs to optical illusions.

We love this museum! It's such an added bonus that we get free admission since we have a membership to the Museum of Discovery.

A few highlights of this trip were the new (to us, anyway) dinosaur exhibit, making pet rocks, the giant block area for building, and the water play area. There is plenty to do outside as well, but it was very hot for September so we only went to the treehouse/net area before heading back in.

We paid extra to do the dome show, and I was not all that impressed. It's a very small planetarium-type show. If your kids have never been in a planetarium it may be worth it, but otherwise I don't think I'd recommend it. Maybe we'll check it out when a new show starts...

If you're in Central Arkansas and have never been to this museum, take your kids! It's worth the trip.

As a group of only adults, we had a great day at MidAmerica Science Museum. We visited the museum with our daughter and her service dog. The facility was very welcoming and easy to navigate with ramps and elevators. The shows were excellent.

We have family passes here. My 3 younger siblings love this place and so do I. Last year they attended an after school program here and had a lot of fun. It's kinda like a huge educational playground. The tinkering studio is also super fun if it's open. This museum is great for all ages.

Went there for my sons birthday, he had a amazing time.
They no longer serve any food at the food center, they said they had stopped it due to Covid and that food policy is less- meaning certain restrictions have been lifted for you to bring certain food or snacks for ur children to eat there.👍
Affordable entry and everyone has a amazing time.
