Central Bakery, Peabody, I've been going to this bakery for many years, it has amazing breads and goodies. I go for queijadas de nata and sweet bread, my favorites.
There are so many other great choices too, great cakes!
For those who aren't aware, its been remodeled; its totally updated and very well lit, modern. Older reviews reflect the old bakery, and they accept credit cards now. Lastly, the staff is great, very helpful and polite. 😊

If you want fresh,I mean FERRRESH rolls,this is there place to go,they have pastries,even coffee(in jars for purchase),I think its decaf,but it's really good!...the ladies there are always friendly,cupcakes could be a little fresher,I got a few,they were good,I can imagine how they tasted first day out!!

Best bakery on the North Shore of MA! Highly recommend them for their custom cakes for birthday parties + special events. Their cookies are delicious too! Will definitely be back!

Visiting from out of town, so glad to find our way to this gem! Everything we had was delicious, fresh and served with the friendliest service. The kids were excited to pick out a cupcake and I got some Portuguese rolls and cookies to take home. All was amazing!
Prices were very reasonable too. Hope to be back next time we are this way

Good place to get some Portuguese goodies. They have the Portuguese fried dough called malasadas, or the custard style pastries such as pastel de nata or queijadas..the rice pudding is great too called aroz doce..

Very bright and clean. They take credit cards for purchases over $5

Hands down the best Portuguese bakery around! From the pastries to the bread, you will not be disappointed! We placed a large dessert order for our wedding rehearsal dinner and we could not have been happier. They were so accommodating and the guests absolutely loved them! Can’t wait to go back again.

They have the most delicious pastries /desserts! The bones, cannolis, apple and cheese danish were delicious. They even gave me a container of frosting to take home! Very nice and patient! Social distancing and masks made me feel very confident going inside. Thank you!

I have been going to Central Bakery for at least 30 years and I never have had a bad experience or word to say about the bakery I only have amazing things to say. I have gone there from wedding pastries,funeral and just a Sunday having coffee with friends, so for those that don't think this place looks good from the outside take your business somewhere else cause the owners, people that work there are some of the best people you will ever meet. I will actually be heading there later today to pick up some mini pastries for my father's funeral. Everyone take a chance and check the bakery out you definitely won't be disappointed.

Classic old fashioned bakery. I went for Portuguese sweet bread, which is marvelous toasted, with butter. Bakery is dark, because of banners and racks by windows full of yummy things. Clean snd simple and full of things that are delicious. They are cash only, street parking, not really wheelchair friendly.

Storefront. Everything on display looked delicious and fresh. Staff at the front counter was helpful as well as informative. It was a pleasure to do business with what appears to be a family small business

Great bakery, great prices. Nice, family run operation. We love being able to have simple ingredient Donuts that don't make us want to throw up afterwards.

Very nice and personal staff. They speak English, Spanish and Portuguese. Great variety of bakery items. Prices are very reasonable.

Bought some of their rolls from Stop 'n Shop and they were some of the best rolls I've had! Fresh and soft, perfect for a sub or just some butter!

Love the lady here in the morning she's a sweetheart the pastries and breads are delicious you gotta try it. Ohhand fresh fresh fresh donuts in the morning too
