El Jalisco Mexican Grill

This is a great place. Stopped by to kill some time while we were in Beverly. The staff was amazing. You can tell it is an authentic place because of the amount of Latino's making their way there. By the way the Margaritas are excellent

Huge portions! The guac is the biggest than any other store and the churros come with ice cream. The nachos have enough toppings and not too much cheese.

Excellent food - authentic, yet higher end than what you may expect from the unassuming facade. Props to them for serving rice that is not too dry! The tortilla chips are spot on, too. Good service. The atmosphere is nice, but intimate. You will get to know your neighbors a bit if sitting in the center section (or at least hear their conversation).

Great Vegetarian options and loved the food. The portion sizes were large and the staff was very kind and accommodated our food preferences.

I don't read menus so I got what I deserved - tacos were fantastic but with the rice and beans it was a full on meal. I was impressed with the place in every way. Some local lady I walked past recommended it and it was everything she lead me to expect. Buen provecho

Excellent! Hubbs and I got food to-go. Chicken and steak fajitas were great! The meat was tender and very flavorful. The peppers and onions were wonderfully grilled. Beans, rice, sour cream and guac. Four grilled, warm tortillas. Yum! Cheese quesadilla was nicely grilled with sour cream and guacamole on the side. The Mexican Street Corn was super tasty, but I would have preferred the corn on the cob a bit more al dente. Finished off dinner with their Tres Leches cake. It was good. Hubbs particularly liked the cake. Overall, a very good experience, especially for take out. Larger than expected portions. Hot, fresh food. We will definitely order from Jalisco's again!

Grabbed lunch Sunday for our boat day. We ordered two taco salads with shrimp. I told the woman who answered I was headed out on the boat so she suggested to put the dressing, guacamole and sour creme in separate containers to add in when we were ready to eat. She also wrapped them so well for travel and to put in our cooler. Excellent salad - we both thoroughly enjoyed it!! Thank you! Will definitely again!

Went here for the first time tonight before a show at Off Cabot. It was phenomenal. Myself and our group are stern critiques when it comes to food and this place surpassed our expectations. We hit the apps with sweet plantains, stuffed yucca, guac and chips. All great. The complimentary table dish is chips and salsa, but they also include a delicious pinto bean dip that was great. The 6 of us got different dishes. Chili Colorado, chicken quesadilla (was massive), supreme burrito, birria tacos, steak tacos and pastor torta. We shared the bunch and all were delicious. The staff was great and so were the drinks. I highly recommend this spot!

10 out of 10! Hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants on the North Shore, and perhaps the best veggie quesadilla of my life! We live in Salem but always make it a point to order from El Jalisco—it's our new favorite. So far we've only ordered takeout but we're very much looking forward to dining in, as their cocktails sound really good. Delicious food. Great portions. Excellent service. For those who love queso and chips you will be thoroughly impressed—most places just melt some American cheese with a jalapeño, but El Jalisco's queso is top-notch—plus their salsa and guacamole are superb. I'm so glad we found this family-run business!

I've had Mexican food from all over the country and this stands up to the best of the best.

I placed a takeout order online and picked it up. The whole process was absolutely seemless from start to finish. The food blew my expectations out of the water! I wish I took photos to post here but I could not even delay eating everything we ordered. We also got churros that were out of this world - they were infused with I think rasberry and they were served with vanilla icecream. I could not be happier with my experience !!! I will be back and highly recommend anyone debating about ordering from here to do it!

The food was great, I don't understand why it was dead for lunch. I had the Hawaiian pastor burrito, and my wife had the chimichanga. My only problem was the impossibly tiny bathroom. I'm a large man and could barely turn around in there.

Soooo good. Pastelitos are similar to Venezuelan empanadas - made of corn and not wheat flour. Try the stuffed rice ball appetizer, you'll be glad you did. They have proper Salvadorian pupusas, btw, super hard to find. Very generous and delicious glass of red wine sangria.

Our waitress was attentive and pleasant. The wait for our food was minimal and happily ate our yummy homemade tortilla chips and dip. The portions were hearty and got to have another meal to take home! Highly recommended!

My wife and I used to live in Southern Texas. This place was the closest I've come in New England to remembering those flavors. The margaritas were delicious. The food was fantastically spicy and the staff were prompt and kind. Will definitely come back here if ever we're in Beverly again.
