The Village Cafe

If you’re anywhere in the area, this little unassuming cafe is an absolute must.

To start, Laura—who it seems typically opens in the morning—had my order memorized like I was a years-long regular after just a single visit. I waltzed in just after opening (7:05), hoping not to be “that guy” that walks in super early while she’s trying to do her side work. She assured me that all was good, and that I was more than welcome. She virtually started making my breakfast before I even ordered. Wow.

Next, the food. The FOOD. The COFFEE. Some of the best savory all-American comfort breakfast food I’ve had, genuinely. I’m a coffee snob, and I like mine on the sweeter side. They nail it with their caramel lattes (at least Laura does).

The atmosphere is a very warm-toned rustic feel, so it almost comes off as if you’re sitting in someone’s living room. At the center of the room is a few sofas and a table, to boot.

Again, if you’re anywhere near VS&C, pop on in. You won’t regret it.

Visited here yesterday for the first time in years, and love what they’ve done with the place. It used to double as a small cafe and convenience store, and now they have made the transition to a full service coffee shop / bistro. I got a chicken salad wrap that was unbelievably tasty. The atmosphere is also quaint, with small tables to sit while you sip coffee, read a book, or catch up with a friend. Really enjoyed my short time there and am glad that the business is in good hands.

This place is great! The sandwiches are amazing. On the smaller side, but very reasonable prices. Their baked goods are great also. They have a bunch of tables, and it has a cozy vibe.

Favorite coffee shop in the area, food and staff are amazing! People of all ages stop by and can enjoy many different options the Cafe has to offer! Super cozy inside as well!

Overall, 5 stars for everything. The atmosphere, the service, the food and drink options. It's a really nice place to meet up with someone over breakfast and lunch, or enjoy by yourself.

I thoroughly enjoy the effort that had been made on the interior design and atmosphere. On multiple occasions, I've appreciated the staff's exceptional service.

If I were to nitpick, I'd say the coffee quality and experience has room for improvement. I have a really high bar for coffee quality though, so it likely won't even phase most customers who drink the coffee here. Admittedly though, I am of the humble opinion that a place as lovely as The Village Cafe should have coffee to match the occasion.

Super tasty veggie breakfast burrito, friendly counter staff, lots of great coffee options. Lovely cafe atmosphere.

My family and I have been going here for years. It’s a great place to grab a bite to eat and some coffee. The coffee flavors are great and the food is solid. Highly recommend

Have only ordered online and over the phone. Everything has been great and one time they messed up the order and gave an extra sandwich and cookie as an apology even though the just doubled up on a sandwich. Tasty sandwiches for lunch with a good selection of items to choose from. Great local favorite!

Great food and caffenated drinks! I enjoyed the breakfast burritos and the grilled muffins!

Tip for anyone who is limited in time.... call your order ahead, don't wait in line and save time!!
Good parking in the rear! If you're not from the town or vicinity, you will not know that there are limited parking spots up front and it is difficult to back out from those spots when there's constant traffic on the Main St.

I enjoyed a double espresso and grabbed a seat on a comfy couch and read a couple of chapters of my book. Then I got a coffee to go from a good selection of flavored options. The Village Store has good coffee house music playing, a great selection for breakfast or lunch items and quick, friendly service. It is a great local meeting place.

Love the atmosphere of this wonderful cafe. The food is fabulous! We have turned to take out during Covid times, it’s become more than a weekly order! Have you tried their homemade moon pies? ❤

I absolutely love the Village Store. Their paninis are so delicious and the restaurant is a warm and welcoming place to be. They are always consistent with their dishes and my favorite is definitely the turkey pesto panini. I highly recommend stopping by the Village Store. It's awesome!

It is warm, cozy and eclectic inside. Great breakfast and service. I've never had their lunch items but everything I have ever eaten there has been delicious!!!
