Econo Lodge Downtown

Lots of fun roommates crawling around. Made the bed feel like a massage chair. Who knew those little guys were so strong. I recommend staying here if you have hair loss because I found lots of hair on the pillows (bring glue). Also, I watched skibidi toilet with my new friends and they liked it. Bean

Truly a great place to stay! The beds are filled with bugs, this may be a problem to some but to be honest, Its free food if you get hungry! They also provide quality entertainment and cured my loneliness! Be aware, the bugs did tend to bite me toes while I was trying to sleep! Overall good food, good view of my neighbours and a great experience.

Contrary to other reviews, we had a very pleasant stay here. The receptionist was very friendly (especially considering we were checking in at 03:00 AM). When we got into the room, it was clean and had not one problem. The beds and bathroom were clean as they needed to be. The breakfast was very simple yet sufficient. I did not see one insect in the room. There are large lights in the parking lot, not to mention the large spaces (we had a large pickup truck). The TV was not great, but that was fine for us. The WiFi in room was not the fastest in the world, yet it was sufficient. This hotel also has a GREAT location near downtown and the airport with restaurants nearby and great access to I-15/I-80, along with a TRAX light rail station a block away.

The only room for improvement is the shower. THIS IS NOT specific to this hotel. The shower has low water pressure and you have to yank very hard to turn the water on and push equally hard to turn it off.

All in all, we had a great stay here, and would stay again and recommend to friends.

First, they accommodated me after another hotel screwed up. The customer service was outstanding . My room was clean. The water was hot, the shower had a problem so they IMMEDIATELY moved us to another room. Water pressure was GREAT maintenance (Joel) super friendly and apologetic about shower issue. Mike ( I think) went above and beyond to fix my reservation , But especially the girl who helped us at the front desk, Isabel, she was the ipitimy of Excellent Customer Service. Smart , friendly. What an experience

My experience has been one of surprise AND of complete awe..... not only because the present owners have this particular site well on its way to becoming one of
Salt Lake City's finer places for a very clean and spacious lodging that can easily compare to quite a few lodgings throughout the Great state of Utah. Also, it is my understanding now that the Econo Lodge will be serving a fine Continental Breakfast very soon!
So why not just take a little trip down and see for yourself...... this end of Salt Lake City (North Temple) has not looked so well in quite some time...... remember, Don't expect perfection... just be delighted in the improvements! Have one need heck of a Great Day, Folks!

This hotel is a very clean. Bug free , a quiet place ! Management is Yessy and she is very professional and very kind .
The rooms are very nice I was surprised when I checked in .Wood floors, big tv , huge bed .They have security on the premises his name is Joel & 360 camera's so you are very safe .definitely not rated properly !
If you are looking for a hotel to stay at for leisure or you are traveling this is your go to place . The property is kept spotless also . Great guest service and great staff.
Anyone writing a bad review was kicked out for destroying property . So they have bad things to say and it is very disrespectful and tasteless .

Such a friendly and efficient staff. So diverse in culture too. The front desk is Indian. House cleaning and breakfast are Hispanic. They speak English fine. I loved how they accommodate me and my wife and saw how they tend other specific needs as well. Highly recommended for value of price as well.

If you can't afford to stay somewhere else, you might want to replan your trip.

The building is rundown, the rooms smell funny/ musty, the mattresses are old/ stained/ gross, our unit didn't have a microwave/fridge, but no hot water. The pillows were mildly comfortable, but they smelled funny

We stayed at this motel for a month and a half. It is an awesome place to stay. It's only 55 dollars a night, and the owners are so nice. The breakfast that you get in the morning is free and it's really good. I know that this motel is in a bad part of town, but it's a really great place to stay if your on a budget. :)

How can I give a five star rating for a 2 star hotel? Because it exceeds expectations. The price is a bargain. The free breakfast and wifi are great. It is convenient to many places. When I visit SLC it's the place I always stay.

I stay here a lot, always get 4 extra face cloths... Staff is always great & friendly. Rooms look slightly out of date, but beds are comfy and rooms are clean.
They serve a lite breakfast, but I'm gone before it opens or I sleep through it.

As most of the reviews made it sound soooo bad I found it they were paying 40 bucks and they thought they will get a 5 stars service
The motel is clean the workers are really nice people and the cleaners they clean the room really good and I would rate their cleaning 3 stars and we got to remember it is a two starts motel / the breakfast it’s something to get you through the morning nothing fancy
Yes the neighborhood is not safe and full of homeless but come on it’s a downtown I’m from Idaho and we don’t have a great downtown at night too actually i felt more safe during the 4 nights I stayed in here because literally the cops were around almost all the time. The motel really close to the Trax and everything I went there for a business and i paid only 37 bucks per night
As i said don’t expect too much it’s only a two stars motel you want something fancy go with something expensive

The service wasn’t bad, they have breakfast, rooms where clean, no bugs. Maybe all you complaining people should shut up and sleep in you’re cars next time. For the price it was great! Hot water, roof to stay dry and warm, and food to eat in the morning! Bang for you’re buck.

The staff that works in the front desk is annoying and disrespectful thinking they know what they were doing this hotel feels like hell bad services

Fantastic service! The staff is so friendly, accommodating and helpful. The outside isn't perfect, but the rooms are clean and comfortable! I will definitely be staying here again.

For the price this place is exactly as described. Staff is great, rooms are nice and clean. I'd definitely say if you're looking to stay in Salt Lake on a budget then this is the best place to do it at!!!

Clean rooms, very well maintained outside, large rooms needs some work but very comfortable. For the staff very friendly and outgoing.
