AeroVenture Flight Center

Right from the beginning I felt at home with AeroVenture. I always felt like part of the family rather than a client. The instructors are some of the best in the country and aren't only your instructor, but also your friend. They look out for your well being inside and outside the cockpit.

There were a few days throughout my training where I got to the airport, sat down and began not to feel well. Those also happened to be some of the more perfect days to fly. There was never a time I begrudgingly went to fly and AeroVenture never coerced me to either. They were more focused on me feeling better so that next time I would be ready to go. I could not recall the number of times I received phone calls about my well being when ill. It goes to show the time and dedication they put into each of their clients.

I'd also like to say how involved AeroVenture is in the community. During my time as a student at AeroVenture I had the privilege to help with their annual "Santa Fly-in" where Santa flies in on one of their planes to meet with little kids.

More notably, for a school project teaching others about the world of aviation, AeroVenture did not hesitate to come and speak with high school students about the opportunities the industry holds. They also hosted a set of discover flights for high school students to see what flying is all about.

All things considered, AeroVenture is, in my opinion, one of the best places a student could flight train out of in south east New England.

Received an amazing flight training experience as I worked on achieving my PPL. I've been flying with AeroVenture for over 4 years, and I can confidently say they are the best of the best. Every flight focuses on the safety and professionalism that must be maintained in the cockpit. Each instructor has their own style of teaching, but they will make sure you understand a concept before moving on. The fight school is a family run business and cares about every student they have. They have a huge priority on success and want you to be able to achieve what your dreams are about aviation. All of their aircrafts are very well maintained as well as the flight school. I was beyond happy to have trained with AeroVenture, and would highly recommend checking them out if you are interested in becoming a pilot.

My Discovery Flight with AeroVenture was one of the highlights of my life. From the outset, the staff and instructor treated me like royalty. As soon as the state-of-the-art plane took off, time stopped and the world grew still. What a joy it was to see familiar places from heavenly heights. The all-around glass windows made me feel as if I myself were flying. The instructor was an excellent companion, being witty, capable and serene. I would recommend AeroVenture wholeheartedly, especially these days. Who couldn't use an escape that also puts everything into perspective?!

Recently received my PPL after 15 months of training at AeroVenture. They are the absolute best here. You will be treated like family, they will work with you every step of the way until you have mastery. They are a family-run school and absolute operate as such. Their instructors are totally dedicated to teaching and have very dynamic styles. If one lesson isn't clicking for you, speak up, they will try something different until you get it. The planes are very well maintained. The staff are a pleasure to work with in terms of scheduling and communication. The airport is a great one to train at, it is quick to get off the ground and into the practice area. With the Providence and Boston airspaces so close by, and so many other nearby airports, you have tons of opportunities to learn. There are very few flight schools in the country that are run like AeroVenture, and absolutely none like it in the region. I will recommend this flight school over any other.

You have not lived until you've flown an airplane. So that's been on my bucket list since I was 15 years old, hitch hiking to the airport in Norwood to watch the planes and go up on scenic flights. Now that I'm retired, I figured it was time to finally do it.
Ok, I admit, I only took one lesson but it was fun. The instructor made sure I knew my stuff before we took off. Then let me turn the plane, go up, go down... a couple of those and it was over. Sad sad sad. But it was a lot of fun and even if you can only take the intro lesson, I highly recommend it.

I have been taking lessons with Aeroventure for about four months now. I began with the Top Gun program in which I had the opportunity to fly with each of the instructors. Since, my first lesson I have had nothing but positive experiences with all of the instructors and administrative staff. The administrative staff have been pleasant while providing excellent customer service. In addition, they have made the process easy and efficient all while being flexible with any needed schedule changes. The instructors have all been excellent to say the least. They are highly knowledgeable, professional, safety conscious, personable and patient. Every lesson they have perfectly balanced the blend of education, progression and fun while creating a low stress and safe environment.

I have wanted to learn to fly for as long as can remember and the staff at Aeroventure have facilitated this perfectly. They have created a family type environment with the education, goals and safety of the student at the forefront. If you are looking to learn how to fly or for a flight experience I would most certainly recommend them!

AeroVenture is truly a first class flight school. The instructors are excellent. They aren't just their to build hours, they are there to teach and it shows. Their aircraft are new and very well maintained. The owners are great people and are extremely well organized when it comes to scheduling. Whether you're looking for a new hobby or an aviation career, I'd strongly consider AeroVenture.

AeroVenture is a great family run flight school. They have two new Czech Sport Cruisers, that are contemporary in every way, glass (digital) instrument displays, GPS and superb visibility. They also have a pair of Piper training aircraft for those who prefer. The school is run by the Allen family who both teach and run the operations. Their approach is warm and tailored to each individual. You will advance as quickly as you are able (I soloed after about 10 hours of training) or at the pace you need. Aeroventure has received numerous awards over many years, which speaks to the consistency of their training and, unlike most flight schools, their ability to keep superb Certified Flight Instructors who are teaching for the love of it and not just to get flight hours on their way to the airlines. You'll find the flying community is generally very friendly and the group of students at Aeroventure no exception. The students range in age from early teens (my daughter started her training here at age 14) to some a bit later in life, like me. Everybody is helpful and flexible, a great community. If you need a little more time in the air or to change your schedule everybody tries to help make it work.

If you are interested in learning to fly I highly recommend you come in and talk the the Allen's and the flight instructors. Take an introductory flight to see just how you like it, but I warn you, it's addictive!

I'm a professional pilot and flight instructor, and I earned all my pilot certificates and ratings with AeroVenture and simply could not be happier. Now my gig is flying the Caribbean thanks to the Allen's! The Allen family works tirelessly to craft an incredibly professional and personalized flight training experience for each of their students. While earning my ratings with them over the years, I've seen them go through some pretty tough times, and I'm amazed at their tenacity to deal with difficult circumstances and prevail in an admittedly tough industry. I highly recommend AeroVenture!

As a student I can confidently say my experience at the Aeroventure Flight Center has been absolutely wonderful. The flight instructors and staff are incredibly client oriented rather than only focused on making money. Safety and proper education are the number one priorities for this school, including always complying with set FAA regulations and standards. The school is also very strict about maintenance on their aircraft, ensuring no student will ever fly in an unsafe plane. Their location at the Mansfield Municipal Airport fosters such a welcoming and very pro-general aviation environment that you can't find anywhere else. AeroVenture Flight Center has been rated by the AOPA as the best flight school in the United States in 2015, and, based on my over one year experience with this flight school, it was well deserved.

My son has been asking for flight lessons for quite some time as we already have 3 commercial pilots in the family and he has decided that he wants to join the ranks of commercial pilot. After researching flight schools in Massachusetts, we found Aeroventure and we are thrilled with the experience. My son signed up for the Top Gun program, which gave him a great introduction to aviation with ground school and flight time. The entire school is well organized, focused on improving it's students' skills,, and has an amazing attention to detail. The communication between school and students is seamless and frequent. His flight instructor is patient, attentive, and gives my son all the time he needs to ensure that all questions are answered. We are thrilled with the experience here and I give it my highest recommendation. Kudos to an amazing organization.

I have been a student at AeroVenture for about 3 months now, and I have to say that I absolutely love the entire staff there. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating that you immediately feel like a part of the family. You can feel their passion for aviation as soon as you walk through the door. My instructor (Tyler) does a great job mixing classroom and in-the-air training to always keep me engaged and excited. If you've been considering pilot training I very strongly encourage you to call or visit this academy. They will completely walk you through the costs, timeframe and process to achieve your specific flying goals. There hasn't been one single "surprise" or unexpected expense or event. I could go on and on about how great this school is, how convenient and well-kept the airport is, but instead I'll end with this - I typically fly on Sunday's, and I spend the whole week (every week) looking forward to it. If you want to learn to fly, this is the place for you

I started my training elsewhere, got frustrated, and thank goodness I found Aeroventure! I now consider Deb, Bill, George, Tyler, and Adam friends. The facility is top notch, scheduling is easy, it's just a pleasure to work with them. I can focus on my training, the instructors are excellent, there's a simulator for poor weather days. You CAN learn to fly! Whether you're aiming to be a weekend warrior (like me), or have aspirations of an aviation career, these folks have you covered.

I have had several lessons with George Allen; he is a wonderful instructor. He explains things and demonstrates maneuvers and then lets me work on them. I highly recommend George!

Just finished my flight review after being away from flying for 12 years.

My instructor Tyler was there every step of the way starting with taking my kids up to see if they would like it to handling my flight review. The entire staff including George Allen, Bill and Deb were right there as well with anything that I needed. They really are focused on the best interest of the pilot.

I was a bit anxious/nervous as it had been so long but Tyler got me up to speed and comfortable in the airplane in short order. His demeanor in the cockpit was great. He gave me a very thorough review while at the same time keeping it fun. I was able to get signed off after 2 lessons.

If there are any areas I feel need some work in the future I will certainly come back to AeroVenture for the training. Really a top notch flight school.

I earned my private pilots license with AeroVenture and loved my experience! They have an amazing staff dedicated to creating a safe and effective learning environment. I visited the school one day and had a nice flight. I was impressed by the professionalism and knowledge of the team. What a great flight school with experienced pilots able to provide an informative experience. I highly recommend AeroVenture Flight Center without reservation.

In January 2015 I started flight Instruction with AeroVenture at Southbridge, Ma. Although I live in Connecticut I decided to learn with Bill Allen after talking to him for an hour. I flew 2 days a week, New England weather permitting, and within a year and a half I achieved my Private Pilot Certificate. During my first year AeroVenture was awarded AOPA Best Flight School and Bill Allen was awarded Outstanding Flight Instructor, something he's awarded year after year. AeroVenture's Success speaks for itself. Their students achievements speak for themselves. I personally volunteered for some of the selfless events that the Allen family did for the Southbridge community. Most of them are just a Google search away. I got along well with the management of the airport and the pilots who flew in and out of 3B0. I was sad to see AeroVenture move but it was a needed move for the school. With any flight school safety should be the number one concern. It is for AeroVenture. We are taught to use all the tools available to us. A safe airport should be a necessary part of our training. I'm happy to drive the extra 40 minutes to the new facility in Mansfield, Ma. One last note, I know my capabilities as a pilot and I know the capabilities of my fellow graduates of AeroVenture and I can say with confidence that, thanks to Bill Allen, our Stick and Rudder Skills are top notch.

Outstanding flight instruction. Bill's techniques and grasp on procedures are spot on and he is incredibly effective at teaching them to his students. Flying with Aeroventure is low stress and a blast. I wouldn't go anywhere else for civilian flight training. They truly offer a family atmosphere and a safe/effective training system. As a professional military aviator, I'm happy I started flying with this family first.
