A Taste of Thai

This place is fantastic, just as a starter. My wife and I just visited for lunch. She got some chicken fried rice, and I got the same, but with bell peppers and added veggies. Best fried rice I've ever had.

Disclaimer! A spice level 1 here, is about a 4 at simply Thai. The lady there was very nice, and let me know that 1 was probably enough. They have a range from 1-4, and I, familiar with other Thai places around, thought "hey a 3 sounds good". She was nice enough to say I should start with a 1. And that was the correct spice for me.

Very tasty food, loads of fresh flavor. Their spring rolls (chicken and veggie) are delicious. I'll definitely be coming back.

Right from when you come in, they greet you and make you feel welcome. Please, ask the waitress(and I think she was one of the owners) what they recommend and about heat levels! If they recommend a low heat level, you can get extra chili on the side...but start low. Husband had the Pad Thai (pork, but wants to try chicken next time) at 1/2 a level...it gave a little heat in the very back ground. He thought it was phenomenal! I had the green curry that comes with a side of rice(only green curry they have listed) with chicken, Thai eggplant, bamboo strips, and Thai basil; at a level 1. 😋 Def would get again and again. A simple curry, packed with flavor, and at this heat level...perfect for me. Highly recommend.

Stopped in to this gem of a place and it was excellent. Service is friendly and prompt without being overbearing. Very clean and nicely decorated. The food is great, my boyfriend who loves egg rolls said they are the best he's ever had. We had pad Thai. The server warned us it is SPICY and she was not misleading. on a scale of 1-4 I got a 2 and it is easily as hot as the hottest available at places I've had back in Cincinnati. Delicious none the less. Would definitely make this place a regular if I was local.

This place is outstanding, to say the least. Kob is the sweetest and most caring person with a passion to make things enjoyable. Praise the chef as well for her amazing food.

BEST Thai food ever!!! They bring the flavors and the heat!! I had KaPao Chicken, spice level 2. I was sweating and loved it!! Highly recommended!!

My family loves this hidden gem! Anytime we go out to eat my kids want to go here. The service is amazing and food is consistently the best! Doesn’t get any better.

I go here frequently. I love it! The food is great and there are tons of options. The staff have always been thorough in explaining what is in the dishes and are happy to make substitutions for me to make certain dishes vegan.
The dining room is small and cozy. If it's a busy night, that can feel a little too cozy, but my schedule usually keeps me away during peak times. I go for late lunch and really really enjoy the quiet atmosphere and personal service. The woman that's there during the day is a joy to interact with!
Unless you are an experienced spice eater, go very light on the spices!!!! There is a chart on the tables that shows a 1-4 scale on the spice level. There are unlisted options of "no spice, a pinch, and half spice". I'm at half spice and it's plenty. It was once offered to me to get extra spice on the side when I ordered takeout, so that may be an option if you're unsure of what you can handle.

Amazing service!! The owner was so sweet and gentle with my nephew. He is tall for his age and is still learning to talk. She took the time to talk with him and show him where she keeps the sweet treats.

I have been in lousiville a year now, and this place has beaten all others in flavor and spicy. Will be visiting often on my way to my sister's.

We have driven by this place for a couple of years wondering if it was any good. Welllll, we finally stopped by today and was blown away. The service is amazing and caring. The food was wonderful, and the atmosphere was calming and beautiful. For starters, the Thai tea was very soothing. The yellow curry in the massaman dish was perfectly spiced. My wife is gluten free and the owner made sure everything was gluten free for her. Don't make the same mistake we did and drive by without trying this authentic yet modern combination of yummy food.

The waitress/server/cashier was amazing. She was handling the whole front end and still made me feel so welcomed! Such a nice change as compared to many restaurants out east I have visited thus far.

The order process was simple and she warned me of the spice level. Trust her... it's spicy if you choose even a 2. I can handle spice, but I had to pace myself with bites of other food, and a drink of water in between.

Everything was divine and I wished I lived close enough to go regularly. They would be my go to Thai restaurant

Excellent Thai food! I also appreciated that our server helped steer us away from the dishes that almost certainly would have been too hot for us to eat.

Ordered take out and it was ready in 15 minutes. The staff was so friendly and the service was fast! We enjoyed the pork dumplings to start, chicken pad tai (heat 2) and basil rice with chicken (heat 1). We will be back soon! Thank you!

My wife and I stopped in for lunch, the food was amazing! Spice level can be a zero or through the roof. My wife doesn’t tolerate spicy foods and I am just the opposite. Ask for spices on a the side so you can enjoy and add as needed.

Some of the best Thai I’ve ever eaten! Amazing flavors! Homemade crab Rangoon is delicious as well as the Pad Thai! #2 Is definitely enough spice! Enough for left overs Even at lunch. Will definitely return with friends and family.😊

An unexpected gem. The food was better than expected and the service was great. The prices were pretty fair as well. We live in St. Matthews, but will definitely go back.

We have lived in Crestwood for a few years but just now tried this place. I’m disappointed it’s taken us this long to eat here. We highly enjoyed our dinner and will be putting this place on our regular eating out list! Loved the food and it was really great Thai! The service was also fantastic! We don’t eat Thai that often and the staff were kind and provided advice on what to order and recommendations. We are also thankful they warned us about the levels of hot! 🥵 would definitely recommend eating here when in the area. It’s a great little place, with good food and service.

Get excited for some of the best Thai dishes your taste buds have ever experienced. I just moved here from Atlanta (where Thai restaurants were aplenty) and this food far surpasses any I’ve had elsewhere. It’s spicy (they warned me it would be) but I helped myself to seconds while my upper lip broke a cold sweat because the flavor is out of this world. I envy you reader because I wish I could experience it for the first time all over again!

Surprisingly good! Most plates on the menu can also be vegan! We definitely will be back! The waitress were nice and knew the menu and served us very well warming us about the intensity of spice. I had a pinch and od it and it was enough for me. My husband on the other hand asked for 1 tea spoon an half and it was hot! He loved though ! There are around 15 tables. Clean place and clean bathroom! $$

Taste of Thai is remarkable! I’ve had several dishes and they are all wonderful! I got a 4 spice and it was really hot so be careful. Highly recommend the Tom Yum, dumplings and curries!

My wife Loves this place! I Had the yellow curry! Wow! What flavor! Very delicious,everyone at the table enjoyed theirs! I'll go back!!
