APNA Bazaar

I have heard of many people having bad experiences with this place, but to be honest, we have been there 3 - 4 times, each with different and specific needs, like if I fail to locate something in a nearby Indian Store, I have to pay a visit to this store 10 miles away from my home, and exceptionally we have been able to locate and find that item here.

This store has another USP selling authentic and fresh Non Vej items at reasonable rates, beside that there is Apna Cafe which serves fresh food on demand as well. Overall I am good so far 👍

Apna carries a wide variety of pantry staples, frozen foods, refrigerated foods, fresh produce and meat. The store is clean, bright and fresh. They also offer wonderful prepared foods from the cafe. Their chicken makhani, chicken 65 and chili paneer are all mouthwatering. The staff are always friendly and very helpful (as a non-Indian who loves to cook and eat this cuisine, I know I can always count on their help when my knowledge and experience fall short here and there). Highly, highly recommend.

Outstanding buys on produce here! Fresh lemons are $1 for 5 ! They have fresh ginger, cilantro, sweet potatoes, and beautiful halal meats! Spices are incredibly reasonable. Wonderful selection of incense & other Indo/Pak items including beauty products! Nice, small store, easy access and parking. They welcomed my service dog - thank you!

Apna Bazaar is a fantastic grocery store with good Restaurant for anyone who loves Indian cuisine or wants to explore and experiment with new flavors. The store offers a wide variety of authentic products, friendly staff. Whether you're a seasoned cook or just starting to venture into Indian cooking, Apna Bazaar is definitely worth a visit.

This has become one of my regular go-to Indian markets in Louisville. The best mango I’ve ever eaten, I got here. All the Indian markets have puja supplies, but this place has a more extensive selection and some items you might not find at the others. They have an little café right next-door also, the food is great.

Just stopped in today for some Ratlami Sev, lentils and some spices - and a few other things. I grabbed some samosas (try the onion ones, they are really good). I went to their restaurant beside the grocery, and got the vegetarian lunch combo to go. When I got home, I was in heaven. Some of the best food I have ever had. I have been a customer of this store since before the current owners - about 10+ years. I visit at least three times a month. The owner/manager is so kind, and the store is always clean and well stocked. I only wish I could cook Indian food as well as they do! I love their produce selections, and always have curry leaves and other essentials. I know I am not Indian, (not in this life, past life most likely) but I know quality. This store is 100000% quality. Oh, and for any Diwali essentials you will need soon (October is coming fast!) this place has so much to offer! Thank you so much for being part of our neighborhood. Local Indian grocery store that has good collection of items at reasonable prices. The restaurant has good food options. The people are friendly and helpful. Can add shopping carts for convenience.

Delicious food from the Cafe. I literally wanted to lick my plate. This will be my new go-to. Gobi Manchuria, samosas, Malai Kofta, and Naan bread. Amazing, we loved every bit of it. Perfection!

The new owners get a 5 star rating from me now, the owner need to continue to watch that there are NO outdated items on shelves. Great job, the store is clean and shelves are pretty stocked. Their cooked dishes are very authentic too, I have been ordering samosa chat a lot from their kitchen and they are the best in town. Today I tried their chicken biryani, which I would say is very delicious and totally the best I have ever tasted in a local restaurant. Ok I tried mutton biryani this evening 1/3/19 and it is as good as chicken. I will have to keep trying different dishes. I understand they will be opening Apna Cafe next door. The owner and the staff are very welcoming and friendly.

Excellent prices. Great food, spices, and veggies. Limes and lemons are very inexpensive. The Okra and eggplants are excellent. Shop here first, then pick up what you need elsewhere.

Prepared samosas by register are top tier.

I've been out of the country for 3 months and came in today and wow, they are really up their game! They now have a great menu for Indian food to go. Prices are reasonable and the vegetables and fruits look great! Very nice people. Very helpful if you don't know what to buy.

Love this place. Halal meat that’s fresh and always available. The workers are super nice. Not sure of the lady’s name but the cashier who rang me up even offered to put my groceries in my car as I had my hands full with an infant in my arms. It’s the little things. I will continue to come back every time I’m in town.

Samosas are really good and hot everytime we visit the store. Don't forget to take some samosas with your grocery shopping. They also have catering services. Best place in Louisville to look for Chicken biryani and various other dishes.

One stop shop for all indian groceries, materials, food. Plus they have good restaurant with amazing quality food. Recommended.

All Desi stuff under one roof at a place where no other Indian store exists. Good thing about APNA is that if ur feeling hungry, grab some samosay with chatni and kill the hunger. Moreover, it's kitchen has some really good taste food too. When mom's not cooking, get a fresh ready made food from here. It's not as big as Patel but it's got almost everything in it. Halal meat is also available.

This store is under a new owner, and the price and quality are best in Louisville. There are many vegetables for $.99/lb. It's clean, organized and the owner is very nice.

Very convenient. If you live close to westport road or brownsboro road area it's easy to shop from there. They also have carry out food menu and their food taste good. Also you can buy meat.

Very nice Indian store. Clean and organised. Try their Samos’s.
