Prairie Knoll Park

Our favorite spot to go for off leash fun! This park is fully enclosed and secure which is important to Shiba owners, like me. A membership for Paw Print Park is affordable and supports the maintenance of the prairie and park.

What a great park. Lots of room for you and your dogs. We stopped here while in route and weren't disappointed. Just the opposite. Found it so nice, we had to stop on our way home too. Our dog loves off-leash trails. And she found a lot to explore and smell. Congrats to those who supported it founding and continue to support it's use.

Excellent place to let your dog run free. Fenced in and well maintained. Everyone is good about cleaning up after their dogs, so landmines aren't an issue. There's a designated fenced in area for small breed dogs as well.

Spacious play area for you and your pooch. Many dogs there will be off leash, and the vast majority cause no trouble. There are waste bags located on both sides of the park for your use (please use them!). There is a high level and low level walking track around the perimeter, with the vast majority of the area a wide open marsh for your dog to stretch their legs. The center of the park has a covered concrete shelter with seating. Water is available at the entrance via fountain and water bowls are scatter around the perimeter and center, where volunteers will often ensure there is water available to the dogs coming by. The center shelter also has emergency provisions, such as a gurney for the dog in the case of a severe injury. The entrance to the park is double gated, helping ensure that dogs can't necessarily escape while others are coming in. Lastly, there is a full designated area gated off and carved out for small dogs to be able to play and run together without worrying about very large dogs running them over (as the owner of a Dane I appreciate this as well).

Truly my second home. I have never met the staff as it's an outdoor dog park. The people and pups here are super nice, there's a real kind of community here. Glad I found it!

Always a good dog park, the only downside is the pheasant leakage.. It has killed off all the flowers and trees. A controlled burn needs to happen before spring really hits so that maybe something will come back.

Easy walk for you and your dog to enjoy. Has a shelter to sit under for some shade and also a water area for the dogs.
