Great hike for my 4 and 8 year olds. We started on the arboretum for 2miles and then added this for a great out and back hike. The stone steps and formations kept the kids super interested. The views of the river were awesome.

Very tricky and slick rick climbing depending on the weather. Lots to do and a park at the end of the trail. Keep an eye on little kids as the trial drops off 20-30 ft to the river.

Great to the north with Devil's Staircase, but even better to the south towards the Arboretum since that had numerous loops you can add onto your hike. Ample parking for about a dozen cars and easy to find.

Great section of the Ice Age Trail that offers some nice terrain.

Note: The connection between the Arbor Ridge and Devil's Staircase sections takes you through a golf course.

Nice little hike in Janesville, some steeper trails near the river so don't make the mistake I did by wearing sandals.

The devils staircase was an awesome little hike. It's not very long and the hike is over before you know it. Take your time, it is all stone stairs. Easy to navigate and it has a few resting points to take a breath.

Beautiful hiking both directions whether you head towards Riverside Park and Hike Devil's staircase or head the other direction through the Arboretum

This is a nice, hilly section of the trail. I like to start in the arboretum and hike all the way to the Devil's Staircase section.
