Simple Café

I Googled farm to table lunch in Lake Geneva and ended up at this amazing Cafe! Huge selection of breakfast options but I went with the lunch side and ordered a chicken salad sandwich that was perfect. All of the ingredients were balanced, allowing me to get tastes of everything included but nothing was overpowering. I got hints of the smokey chicken, then the sweet grapes kicked in followed by the fresh arugula and then nothing but happiness in my mouth. Ordered a lemon and ginger tea, which was very refreshing. Huge selection of healthy fresh options and the staff were great. Love this place and can't wait to come back and try some breakfast options!

Met family here for breakfast. Wasn't sure if I would find something for me on the menu or not. I was pleasantly surprised by multiple options that caught my attention. Very happy that I went with the corned beef hash and anxious to try something else next time! This place is down a little from the main street but very worth the couple minutes to drive or walk from the main strip and check out the shops between. Either way is a great choice!

UPDATE - We enjoyed this place so much the last time, we had to try it again. We were seated quickly, they accommodated the 2 small children in the group and the food and service were consistently good. The menu has good selections for everyone in the party to enjoy. Even if they have food restrictions. Haven't been disappointed here yet and I would be surprised if I ever was. Simple Cafe is definitely on my list of "go to" places!

We ordered a Korean BBQ bowl and mashed potato omelet with pumpkin pancake. The food was terrific, and the service was excellent. Just be mindful that the Korean BBQ is really spicy.

Free parking allowed in the parking lot next to the restaurant we were happy having. It was my friend's birthday and they gave her a coupon to use next door at the bakery for a free cookie. Our food was as ordered and tasty. Service was prompt and friendly, the restaurant was clean, staff was friendly, and the menu had a little for everyone. We would definitely go back if we are in Lake Geneva again.

Great first stop to begin our day in Lake Geneva; filled up and ready to go! Our family enjoyed the Kids Omelette, Turkey Hash, Egg Sandwich, and Apple Crumble Pancakes. There was plenty of fresh food and the service was fantastic. Thanks to our server, Ashley, for the great suggestions. We will definitely come back!

Food is amazing, love that they change the menu based on seasonal local ingredients. Very fresh and very tasty door. I had the Korean pancakes, and though I was a little afraid that I wouldn't like them, I was extremely surprised! The mix for flavor was amazing and my wife enjoyed their breakfast sandwich, which was also just as amazing. The location has free parking, which is hard to come by in Lake Geneva. The atmosphere is nice and perfect for how they marked their branding. I wish they had a local location where I live in Gurnee/Grayslake area.

Staple in Lake Geneva! They have options for different diets too. The breakfast sandwich is truly phenomenal!

What a fantastic place! The wife and I visited this wonderful restaurant on our anniversary trip, and we were most pleased. They have a great bakery adjacent to the restaurant where we were able to get some great handmade pastries and local coffee while we were waiting to be seated. Believe me, the bakery comes in handy as this place appears to be the most popular in the city because it was absolutely buzzing, and you will certainly have a wait. On to the food, it was phenomenal. I can't say enough about the freshness of everything. The local organic eggs (which you can purchase next door by the way), the fresh house made sausage, the awesome home fries, the pumpkin pancakes, wow, wow, wow! The only drawback is the place is a little cramped, so the seating is a bit awkward, but that's a minor inconvenience for all the excellence this place exhibits otherwise. If you want a great breakfast experience, this place is a must. This will be our go to for breakfast in Lake Geneva whenever we're here.

I stopped in today for brunch after a few years of not going because of previous disappointments. Today, the food and service were so fantastic it completely changed my opinion of the place. Our waitress, Violet was so attentive and kind. She recommended the roasted turkey and brussels sprouts hash, which I hadn't even originally considered, and it was the best breakfast I'd had in so long. Seriously so good. My boyfriend also tried the corned beef hash (which he's pretty picky about) and thought it was great! Violet brought me so much for to-go when I had asked and just took very good care of us! After years of not liking it, I'm extremely impressed.

My best friend and I had breakfast here two times in one weekend! The cafe uses fresh ingredients and high-quality ingredients to create yummy dishes. There is a good variety of healthy breakfast options and the portions are generous. They like to use a lot of fresh veggies and also offer traditional breakfast favorites like French toast or eggs Benedict. Service is prompt and friendly. It can get very loud in the cafe. Great experience at Simple Café, delicious food, was a 30 min wait but definitely worth it. Meanwhile, outside of the bakery they gave us croissant samples and cold brew coffe! Very kind and super nice people working there. Our server was very friendly! Forgot her name but she was super nice. You won’t regret coming here and wait a little bit 🙂

Venue is kept ultra clean & sanitized, staff is super friendly, menu items are reasonably priced and we enjoyed our dine in.

My family & I were there for the very first time over our kids' spring break and came for breakfast before heading back home.

Can't rate lunch selections but the breakfast was excellent. This place is a must for breakfast if ever dropping in or vacationing in LG.👍

Clean ingredients, unique options, and plenty of vegan/vegetarian offerings made this lovely cafe worth the wait for a Saturday brunch. The service was spot-on, and the food came to the table hot and freshly made. I believe even the bread was baked inhouse as it tasted homemade. You'll thank me if you try their original lemonades. Ours was watermelon-lemon, but apparently they use different fruit blends randomly, and they're made fresh. The presentation was lovely, and it tasted like summer in a glass.

Had a great lunch there. The staff was nice enough to split a sandwich between my sister and I. The reuben had kim chi instead of kraut, nice touch. And the cream of asparagus and mushroom soup was fantastic.

Wow this place never disappoints. Their menu is so unique and has lots of yummy options! My favorite entree continues to be the Korean BBQ breakfast bowl. Soooo good!

Lovely little bakery, delightful breads and regional items. The restaurant next door also seemed very nice, but we wanted a light pastry and a coffee. Fast and friendly, warm environment, and very good pastry and cookies. I thought the cookies looked crisp, but they were soft and perfect - the lemon really stood out without being overpowering. The croissant and some regional thing that looked like a top hat were light and airy and delicious. A must try.
