The Grand America Hotel

This is our 3rd time back! Always meticulous each time we visit. Definitely get a room with a balcony so you can over look the mountains. Decent pricing - very nice ambiance. Only negative thing would be service. One worker wasn't the friendliest at the restaurant but overall the experience was superb. Will come again!

Should be no reason this hotel gets a 4.7 stars we recently stayed at American Grand Hotel & out of my worldly travels, This is a first class five star hotel. From the staff that work the conference in the hospitality department to the restaurant the concierge & housekeeping staff was all very friendly, very accommodating and continue to make the guest stay very pleasant. I thank Holly Light & Chris Erickson for their leadership and providing an awesome work environment for the staff. The front desk staff was welcoming and knowledgeable. The accommodations remind me of an ole historical hotel in Europe and the gardens and grounds far exceed most Hotels in the United States. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

Spend my birthday weekend with the love of my life at the best hotel in the city!! absolutely love everything it’s so gorgeous. super Comfortable beds and so clean. The view was one of my favorite things other than the time me and my husband spent at the Laurel
! We received the best service by two staff at the bar Magnesh , he made my birthday special with a delicious surprise cake! and Shara helped with all my questions and all her recommendations were top shelf!! 🫶❤ no doubt i will recommend this place to everyone i know ❤

Outstanding - this hotel is proof that classic style never goes out of style. Check-in staff were wonderful and welcoming. The room itself was gorgeous, large and upscale. The view of Salt Lake City was unbeatable.

Room service was a little disappointing because we didn’t receive what we ordered and when we called to let them know what was missing the items were never refunded.

I would stay here again but would probably not order room service since after it was all said and done food was just so so and we over paid in the end for food not received.

I absolutely love this hotel. Best hotel in the whole United States. The rooms are spotless every time. The beds are so soft. The receptionists are always so professional, happy, and helpful. I love the hallways and chandeliers. The food is absolutely amazing. The servers are always such good servers. I love walking through the hallways during Christmas time, reading the Christmas story, and you can not miss the giant gingerbread house made from real food!!! I just love this hotel from the top to the bottom.

This hotel was 5-star all the way. We were here for a nursing conference and extended our stay x 2 days. The room was awesome (exec. King w/kitchen and in-room laundry #2361). Everywhere in the hotel was impeccably clean. Staff did a wonderful job! We will be back when we are out this way again!!

Absolutely GORGEOUS!!

I’m back at SLC and so far this is the most beautiful hotel I’ve ever seen on State. The location is perfect too.

I think the pictures speak for themselves but the elegance of this place is unmatched and reminds me of those old money hotels in Europe.

Also, the staff is absolutely amazing, everyone’s so helpful and really ensures that you’re comfortable at all times; the lady at the check in counter was especially super kind and help me address all of the questions I’ve had.

Will definitely be back, quite a unique experience.

This was an amazing hotel. All you could ask for and more. Huge rooms with separate living and bedroom space plus a huge bathroom with separate tub and shower!

All the staff was very friendly and super helpful. Even accommodated my special dietary needs all throughout the conference I was attending.

Good location! The hotel room we has was very spacious with a nice view of the city and the mountains, we even had a balcony. The hotel is a lovely space to wander through. We had drinks and dinner at the hotel and both were very nice with okay pricing. Very nice experience - we will return.

We recently stayed here for my wife's birthday and it was perfect. We've always loved going here to eat, go to events, or to spend time looking around during Christmas, but have never stayed surprisingly until now. It was everything I expected. Friendly, clean, comfortable, and beautiful. They even had an amazing little cake in the room for my wife. The views were spectacular as we were staying on the 17th floor. If you are looking for a luxurious getaway, this is your place. Also located in downtown Salt Lake so you have easy access to a multitude of great places while you're there.

What a fun hotel. The building isn't actually very old, so you have all the modern amenities, but it's designed to be like the finer hotels of old.

Absolutely one of our best experiences!!! Hotel is Top Tier!! Very clean, some of the nicest chandeliers I have ever seen. Great food, excellent customer service. The staff at guests services were very nice and patient. We had a very nice view of the mountains. It had been snowing, it was beautiful. The bartenders were very friendly. I would definitely stay here when I visit Utah again!!!

Loved this hotel it was an experience I hope to have again. Beautiful rooms. Quiet and relaxing. Only thing that was negative was every day I went in for a latte in the Cafe and it was a different price ranging from $5=$7 so weird. Great coffee though!

The Grand American Hotel, along with the new Hyatt Regency, are the two best places to stay in Salt Lake City. While we stayed at the Hyatt this visit due to the Grand American not being pet friendly, we did walk through this hotel on our way to pick up dinner today.

We've visited many nice hotels throughout the US, and have to say that the Grand American Hotel may have the most ornate lobby that we have all ever seen. If you like traditional decor, the lobby here is off the charts. We'll definitely have to stay here on our next visit to the area. This is a special property.

All I can say is wow! I went to a conference at this hotel, and was not expecting it to be so beautiful. The grounds and interior are all meticulously maintained and pristinely clean. The architecture and structure makes it feel like you’re back in time. We had a large two bed suite with a living room area and a beautiful bathroom with separate bathtub and shower. The whole thing felt very luxurious. There are a few different places to eat and grab drinks, and an adorable, old-fashioned toy store. Our group ended up, not even wanting to venture out to other places because the hotel was so nice and had everything we needed, so we just stayed there during the convention we were attending for three days.

Went to Easter brunch here for the first time!! Really a deliciously magical experience. The service was top notch! The food was beautifully displayed and delicious! Really enjoyed the smoked salmon and tuna tartare! The desserts were precious and there were chocolate bunnies everywhere. The cocktails were elegant and enjoyed the Aperol spritz was 🍾🥂🐣💐🌸 I hope we can make this a tradition! Thank you!

We came here on our honeymoon and we were treated like royalty. We now make a trip to the Grand America every year on our anniversary. The rooms were incredible with amazing views of the city. City Creek with fun dining and shopping was just a short walk away. You really do feel like old fashion class exists here, very hard to find a similar experience anywhere else.

Top notch, very clean and clearly no expense spared. Very impressed! Around ten minutes from SLC and 35-40 from Solitude and the other ski resorts. Tons of chandeliers.

They live up to their reputation in every facet! Stayed in their executive corner suite. Left little to be desired. Valet, bell hop, front desk, restaurant cuisine and service - all exceptional!! Especially appreciate that the pool closes at 10p. And then remains open until 11 for adults only!
