Dr. Sofya Kats, DDS Cosmetic and Family Dentistry

Dr Kats has been my dentist for years. She is very thorough and gentle. I have also worked with her for many years on a professional level, as a dental technician. I can tell you that her work is top notch. I would highly recommend her anyone.

When you go to the Dentist there is always some trepidation. Sitting in the chair and having someone drill and poke is not a fun experience. Dr. Kats made me feel comfortable during the process. At the same time, my expectation was to find a Dentist with the training, knowledge and skill necessary to provide good Dental Health. Dr. Kats goes beyond that. Her explanations are clear and concise. Throughout the procedures I was able sense the compassion with which she treats patients. In addition to being technically competent she genuinely cares for the people she treats.

I experience great anxiety when I have any dental work done. Thank goodness for Dr. Kats! She's so understanding and allows me to do what I need to for self care during my visits. Her whole staff is wonderful and kind and, because Dr. Kats is so good at her profession, the work is done efficiently and I am able to remain relaxed. I cannot recommend Dr. Kats strongly enough!

Dr. Kats is new to me. I've 2 very enjoyable appointments. Yes I said enjoyable for a dentist. Dr. Kats has been very friendly and straightforward. Example: She asked if I had any concerns. My reply do you. She said and kindness way, I haven't taken a look. I could on laugh. I didn't think any dentist could compare to my last dentist (gentleness, kindness and relaxing), but so far she's right up there.

Dr. Kats listens, teaches, affirms and advocates for the overall health of her patients. I was too shy to be seen by my friend who is a dentist. One day I asked my friend who they would recommend and she said “Sofya was one of the smartest in school!” I haven’t been disappointed. Thank you Dr. Kats for your care of me and my health!

Dr Kats provides outstanding dental care! She takes the time to educate and make sure her patients are comfortable in the dental chair.

Moving on to a new dentist. I was a patient of Dr. Mandel for 16 years. He retired and sold to Dr Kats. My last checkup w/ Dr. Kats she was not even there. I got my cleaning and that's it. If I am paying a dentist, I expect to see the dentist. The replacement crown she provided has a nice food catching pocket that was not present with my prior crown. I had intended to discuss this with her at my appointment, but she was not there. Sorry, not impressed.
