It’s ALWAYS a good experience when I’m there…that Sunday vibe is something else 😅🥳…to have a GOOD BUNCH,then smoothly transition into a early lounge vibe.. then off to work in the morning with something😜🤪 to talk about at lunch time with fellas 🤔👀🤩

Always a great time in this space. The food is amazing, the drinks are amazing, the manager always makes sure I have what I need. It’s clean and the crowd that comes in are friendly people. Very hospitable experience.

The customer service we received was EVERYTHING! Our waitress was attentive, responsive, and eager to make sure we were satisfied. Our food was hot and fresh. Our drinks were one and done (very good)! Vibes and music was lit. I will definitely come back when I'm in DC!

From the text back once I RSVP'd, to the prompt, professional and warm welcoming "welcome to BROOKLYN on U" the gentleman at the door displayed, we knew we were gnna have a great time.

Reservations were needed fo' sure!

Food was popping!! Get those Henny and Honey Jack wings fo' sho! Lol

Music was on point. Speakers were better upstairs.

The pineapple 🍍😍 drink was good, but $40 was a bit steep. Also, for $40, I was expecting for them to have been filled from the very bottom of the pineapple 🍍, not halfway, ya know?

The waitresses are all beautiful, pleasant and professional!! Soo refreshing!!

Upstairs also has reserved seating for dining, however, the bar area is free game .

Definitely looking forward to returning!

Sunday is a great kickback day to enjoy brunch & relax. The bottomless mimosas is all you need 😎. Loved the shrimp tacos.

Really great service from the moment you walk in the door. The ambiance was trendy, with a live DJ and fresh flowers adorning brick walls and wooden tables. The mac and cheese may be the best I've had in the city in years. Each of our seven entrees were tasty with standard portion sizes - we really liked that the salmon came with lentils. Our drinks were presented with floral garnishes or fresh cucumbers. Each had really robust flavor, so we probably drank more than intended, because every new drink brought to the table gave someone else cocktail envy. The prices were very reasonable. I would definitely return and recommend.

I stumbled upon Brooklyn on U and am so lucky I did! I am still salivating over the customized salmon dish the chef made for me two nights ago and I have been gushing about this place to everyone I talk to. This restaurant was amazing at handling my multiple food allergies. The staff is very well trained and is happy to cater to any dietary restrictions. The food and drink menus have something for everyone and the prices are standard for what one can expect in downtown DC. I can't thank Marla and Franco enough for providing me with an unparalleled dining experience in DC. I will be back soon!

I have been here a million times!!! This is my favorite place! Has a modern/urban vibe inside. They play music like a club (dj booth) upstairs and downstairs, with amazing food. I have NEVER had a dish I haven't liked. I great place to socialize with amazing staff.

I absolutely enjoyed this place, we went for my sister's Birthday a group of 10, we had n family style food. The food was Delicious, our waitress was super attentive and sweet, the whole vibe was awesome . Glad I found this on tiktok and checked it out for myself.

Place is nice I liked it alot. The only downfall was the service staff required I make at least a $25 spend per person to get a table and eat. Me and my date was more concerned for drinks and light itmes so we sat at the bar. Outside of that we spent a really good time nice music

This place is a vibe. Came here while I was in DC for the weekend and I was impressed by everything. The interior is beautifully decorated and there’s a great ambiance overall. They play live sports on their TVs and they have the best DJs. I had a few drinks here. They were expensive but mixed to perfection with a strong pour. Apparently the drinks are expensive in this part of town so it is what it is. They have hookah and food but I believe their kitchen closes around 11:30PM.

The female bartenders here are all so beautiful, friendly, and attentive. Javonte is one of the male bartenders and he’s incredible; Very fun and entertaining and I enjoyed hanging out with him. This place also attracts a nice crowd and I met a lot of cool folks here.

Bathrooms need some upkeep but other than that I had a great experience overall. I’ll be back next time I’m in DC.

I visited this place around 4:30p on a Sunday. I had a fabulous time! The people were beautiful and happy. The music was on point. I can't say enough about the food...it was absolutely delicious! Loved this spot! I met the owner and he is a great guy! Definitely a must visit if you are in the area or not! Tell them blaze sent you! Lol

My experience at Brooklyn on U has been nothing short of amazing the two times I have gone. First off, the atmosphere is awesome. The place is beautifully decorated with a chic yet simplistic style. The music isn't too loud or too low and the songs were on point, an eclectic mix. Second, the drinks are bomb. All the specialty cocktails I tried were nicely blended and ornately garnished, a perfect paring for the food. We tried the Tuna Poke, Arugula Salad, and the Salmon entree. All of these dishes were exceptional. The tuna was delicious, not the least bit "fishy" tasting. The arugula salad was dressed well, and the salmon had spectacular flavor. My friend also tried the Burrata, which I had a bite of. The mozzarella was super creamy, I was definitely impressed. On my second visit, my friends and I bought a table for a birthday celebration. We had a phenomenal time! The music was fun, a nice mix of today's hits and the classics. The bottle service was on point, our cocktail waitress poured our drinks for us and everything. Ultimately, my experiences at Brooklyn on U have been really great, I will definitely be coming back!

My boyfriend and I, went there on a Friday night. I must say the atmosphere, ambiance, food and service was great. Our waitress Rose was very friendly and welcoming. Also, very knowleadgeable about the menu. She had great suggestions for us, the food and drinks exceeded our expectation. It's definitely a win in our books.

When I heard the story of how Brooklyn came about I just knew it was gonna be something special. When you walk in restaurant it speaks elegance. The scented candles and great looking people greeting you very welcoming. The lit flower decor in the front is very charming . The menu selection is pretty solid and the food was great.
Now dont be fooled Brooklyn does gets lit!! The lounge was awesome and music on point !! Through my whole experience there I felt they did a great job.

I will definitely be a regular!!

Best restaurant lounge in U street!!!....Excellent food. Atmosphere. Music and Fun. I Had dinner couple times here with my girls. Menu is perfect, something for everyone. Service was awesome, from walking in the door and being greeted by employee, food was serve hot, excellent taste, presentation and quality! Will definitely come back, highly recommended!

I agree with all of these reviews! Great food, great ambiance, but, in addition to the upscale vibes, Brooklyn on U provides top notch service! Personally, the level of customer service blew me away. I felt extremely welcome from the moment I walked in the door, everyone that works there greeted me like I was the local neighborhood regular. From the man/woman that check's your ID, to the bartender, to the bouncer, to the coat check personnel! To me, more than anything, this is what sets an establishment a part from the rest. I look forward to visiting again.

Brooklyn is such a VIBE. I love everything about it from the food to the drinks to their lounge area and more. I’ve been there a couple of times already and each time I went, I’ve had nothing but a pleasant experience. The staff is super nice and attentive and they provide exceptional service. I also love how they have the restaurant on the first floor and the lounge on the second floor, especially on the weekends. You have the option of grabbing dinner and then heading up to the lounge right after for some fun. It’s definitely not your typical U St spot. It’s very classy and sophisticated but with a twist of fun and good times. Brooklyn is definitely in my top 5 spots in DC and I can’t wait to go back!

I absolutely love going here. The atmosphere is friendly and the music is lit. The Bartenders are exceptional and go out of their way to make sure you’re taken care of especially Joyce. I come here often and I love it. 💪🏾
