Super 8 by Wyndham Wausau

I have stayed at quite a few motels through the years. But, this motel truly deserves five stars. The management there knows how to make their guests welcome. This motel should be an example as to how Super 8 motels should be managed.

After a long day, having the pool/hot tub open all nite helped me relax before bed, also a quick workout on their treadmill helped. Breakfast in the morning topped it all off. Price was very comparable to other places but super 8 was more worth it. Will be using this place when ever I'm staying in Wausau.

The 24 hour pool is incredibly rare, and the breakfast is Jimmy Dean. The staff is incredibly friendly and work ferociously, and I suspect it's because the manager is an incredibly respectable man who sets a great example... Only complaint is that, the HVAC is one of those hear-or-cool units which is only annoying in the fall when you have to switch it to heat and turn in down to 67°.

I have stayed at this particular location several times as the 24 hour pool, adults only from 10-7, has been a big draw along with the convenient location. Since my last visit however, rooms have been updated. They have Dove soap and shampoo and comfortable beds. Everything was clean and the pool area was in great condition. The breakfast was better than expected, offering yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, toast, muffins, breakfast sandwiches, waffles, fruit, juice, coffee, and tea. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. Always thought the place was ok, the upgrades have put it near the top, especially for the price. My biggest complaint was our single queen bed room only had a night stand on 1 side.

The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was very good for a serve yourself one. We did not have time this trip for the pool but it looked clean and the pool room was warm and definitely smelled of chlorine so seems good!

WOW. I have stayed at hotels and resorts around the country for years. This hotel blew me away. I could not find one spec of dust, debris, a splash stain, a fingerprint, a cobweb, an unaddressed scuff mark, a stained ceiling tile....nothing! The outside of the building is incredibly tidy, clean, and maintained. I am honestly at a loss for HOW CLEAN this hotel is! Last week I stayed at the Disney Swan location in Florida, which is an expensive and beautiful location. The Disney Swan resort was very clean, but THIS location is cleaner. The staff here must work incredibly hard to keep up with maintenance. It's not easy to keep a facility of this size in shape. This was far beyond my expectations. I think the owner, the manager, and the staff could teach a course for other hotels.
The gentleman that checked me in was expecting me, he was friendly and available. The lady at the front desk, at 6:30 am, was right around the corner (not off somewhere in the building).

I am giving this hotel, a five star rating, because even though the decor is not fancy-schmancy, the treatment I got was as if I were a queen! We were in the middle of a blizzard, and I am disabled and all of the desk people bent over backwards to make sure my car was shoveled out and there was salt put down so I could get out to it without any incidents. All of the girls at the front desk and the guys that shoveled me out did everything for me with a smile and made me feel that I was a very appreciated customer. The pool was nice and the breakfast choices were fine too.. the room was pretty quiet and it was very clean as was the whole hotel. I will always go back there. Thank you to Nick Patel and his wonderful employees for making me feel so welcome and for not making me feel I was a burden.. again hats off and five star and I thank you so much♥

As expected, little better quality for price. Great value. Busy place, but staff was friendly and facilities clean. Family friendly. Breakfast had waffles and continental options. We enjoyed the pool, but small fitness room available, too.

It's clearly an older hotel but it's very clean and quiet 24/7 pool and hot tub.
Best part is it's located right next to Milwaukee Burger bar. Really good food they basically share the same parking lot

I stayed here with a pet. The rooms were very clean. The housekeeper checked on us everyday rather than every other day like many hotels do now. the service was very friendly. I will definitely stay here again.

The room was clean and well organized. It was accessible. There were plenty of available wall outlets and even two phone-charging points. I was especially impressed with the young lady at the front desk. When I first arrived there were four parties ahead of me to check in (it was 6 PM), and she checked us all in quickly and courteously, without making anyone feel rushed--all while fielding phone calls and questions from other guests. She was amazing!

Fair prices always clean. Easy to get to. Tons of parking. 24 hour pool and hot tub. Continental breakfast in the morning. When in the Wausau area it's always our go to place when we need a room for the night.

Recently, my travel companion and I arrived at Super 8 in Wausau in order to attend a concert at Wisconsin Valley Fair. When we arrived, Logan at the front desk looked up our reservation, and reluctantly informed us that I had made a mistake when I made the reservation — our room had actually been secured for the FOLLOWING weekend. This was entirely my fault; I had mixed up the dates. Even so, she went into the reservation system, made a quick phone call to her supervisor, and was able to find us a room for the night. I was incredibly relieved.

The room in question was great. Impeccably clean, cool, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a great night's rest. Logan was even completely unshaken when I popped back to the front desk after the show was over to request an extra pillow. She grabbed me one right away.

The location was convenient, the room was great, and the customer service was unbeatable. Very recommended!

Very nice staff. 24/hour hot tub and pool. Was a little cold but never felt uncomfortable. Next time in Wausau definitely staying again

Affordable fair priced and clean. Liked that flooring in rooms were laminate not carpet and bed was clean and comfortable. Slept great.

I stay here all the time. It's affordable, clean, close to a lot of restaurants and stores and only a few minutes from downtown. The pool and hot tub open 24 hrs. And Free breakfast!

I think Super 8 is stepping up its game! Our room had all the amenities I hope for in any motel/hotel. Fridge, coffee maker, microwave, electrical outlets on the nightstand lamps, and extra towels. The room was clean and comfortable with plenty of space for 2 people to spread out. Friendly staff. Also a good location by the highway and restaurants. $80, can't beat it!

New carpeting, fresh paint and some room updating really made this place comfortable to stay. Very clean room, lots of lighting and the TV worked! A+
