Lots of fun things for all age children but definitely was a very busy park in early spring. Bathrooms were also closed which was unfortunate since we traveled to come play and then had to leave to find a bathroom and then return again. Our visit was at the end of March so I'm sure bathrooms are open by now.

Stopped here while driving through Janesville. Such a cute little park with a really neat play area for the kids. Had to use the restroom at the shelter house near the wading pool. The restroom served it's purpose but could use a remodel. They also had a small office for visitor information located here. Overall a nice park.

My husband first took me here 22yrs ago when we were dating. And we've been taking our kids and they always love playing here. Always well maintained and safe.

1st Time here and it was a Hit with the kids! I can't wait to come back. There is an separate space for littler ones that's a fenced in area.(2-5) and a larger more open space (5+)Great design especially if you have little runners who like to just take off. Lots of different play equipment for all ages. There is a public bathrooms pavilion not far from the playground and pool area. It also houses soda machines and a shaded picnic area.
This is one of the best inclusive parks I've been to with many sensory, wheel chair accessible ramps and play equipment. We look forward to comming back once the pool is open.
If your planning on spending the afternoon here, Picnic benches are in the surrounding areas if your looking for a lunch space. Also it has plenty of lawn space to picnic on the grass. The Perfect Little Location for a Fun Family day at the park!

This park was perfect for my two year old (and eight month old!). Lots of shady trees, picnic tables, and playgrounds split up by age group. We came here during a long drive to let the babies work out some energy and were pleasantly surprised by how great it was!

An awesome place to walk the glacier trail, take the kids to go exploring all the different areas around the park. Sledding hills, water park, playgrounds, tennis, trails... Great family fun, or your peace of quite.

Have been there a few times with my grandson. Very kid friendly. I love that they have a section fenced in with one opening got the smaller kids! They also have wheelchair accessible swings-amazing and infant/mom swings so that mom can swing with her little one! The park is kept immaculate. They do have a wade pool for the littles, but it’s a good idea to call ahead to be sure they are open! We had a 2 year olds birthday party there and it was awesome. Pavilion area was cleAn and large with clean bathrooms easily accessible!
Grills were also available.

Palmer Park is a large park in Janesville. It has 9 tennis courts, surrounded by trees, and backed by a wind-blocking bluff. It’s one of the prettiest settings for tennis courts anywhere. It serves as the home of the Janesville Open tennis tournament.
The park also has a children’s swimming pool, numerous oak tree-shaded picnic and grilling spots, several picnic structures. The Ice Age trail passes through the park which extends from the park through Janesville’s green belt.
There is combination of open grassy areas and dense forest. A stream passed through it.
In Janesville, the City of Parks, Palmer Park is my favorite.

Grew up not far from this park. I remember how fun the wooden castle park was as a child with the rollie slide. I just recently brought my family hovlme to visit and we decided to stop here so I could show my kids the park I played at. Was kind of sad to see it gone and a new one built but I was thrilled to see the rollie slide was still there & the old castle front. Kids played for hours. We even walked over to the zip line. Which they enjoyed a lot too. Great park something for everyone.

There are so many ways to enjoy Palmer Park! From walking trails in the woods with your dog to playing on playgrounds with your kids. My son and I enjoyed a peaceful picnic here under huge oak trees full of song birds. It's such a beautiful park!

The playground was one of the best, which is busy but what can you expect. It was built for all ages and abilities.
Don't just restrict yourself to the castle area Explore. Throughout the park are places to play, swing , hike, and ride your bike.
Picnicking here is a must. Don't miss out. There are areas that have grills and shelters you can rent.
THIS PARK IS FOR ALL AGES
