I earned my first amateur radio license about 9 months ago. HRO is my preferred choice. I have come to trust that they have reputable products, service is great if there is an issue, and the pricing is as good as a person can do. But this store amazes me because I can order something at mid-day in PA and it arrives from DE the very next day. Most of my items have had free standard shipping because I met the minimum. Incredible one day delivery time is what compelled me to leave this review for this store. Seldom do I need anything on short notice, but I love good service in a larger world that often doesn't seem to care.

I love this place. It's a lot different than I thought but that's not a bad thing. Reminds me of a cluttered radio shack. I'm not saying that's a bad thing at all.

I called this store at 4:00 pm and placed an order with Ronald, he was super friendly and was able to answer all my questions. Now for the cool part. My order shipped out the same day (not sure how they managed that) and arrived 25 hours later, 5pm the next day. I only live about 2 hours from the store but that’s still super impressive. So yes I’d definitely order from them again, and recommend them to anyone!

Ordered quite a bit from the Delaware store. Called the store, Fank was very helpful with my question. It was a bigger order; many add on accessories. Everything arrived in good condition as ordered. Great service and competitive prices. Licensed Ham since 1968. Recommended.

Harry knows what he is talking about. Doesn't try to talk you into a purchase, just educates you and let's you make your own decisions.
Prices are competitive. I drive here from bucks county PA. That should tell you how much I value the customer service here.

Extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The guys that work there really know their stuff. They have been hams for decades and are working at the store for the love of their hobby. Ken is particularly good. He showed me a picture of himself in the ”Ham Radio Club" at his school from 1967. He could retire but is still active, imparting his knowledge to newbies like me, and I couldn't be more grateful. The prices for the big ticket items are always cheaper than on Amazon. And Amazon will never be able to provide the support of HRO.

The ham radio outlet is great. In these days of everything online cheaper shopping, this place is still around and serving a specific customer base. I am glad they are there. The staff is friendly and great to talk to. The manager is a veteran that served the same time as my dad and has great stories.

I started getting into the hobby and my curiosity led here. I called in and they suggested equipment. I didn’t want to buy base models and gave them room for sound advice. Taking their advice was the right move. I purchased great equipment, go licensed in the hobby, and am enjoying features I never would have considered if I didn’t accept their counsel. I’ve made 4-5 purchases since then and have never actually walked in the place because of Covid. All I know I’d that these are fantastic guys that helped me spend my money well. Thanks!

Drove four hours to get there from Long Island and well worth it. Roy took time to help me pick out an hf rig and bench tested another I brought with me. Couldn't ask for better service. Planning to call tomorrow to order more things. Or maybe even drive there again this weekend.

I have talked to Ham Radio Outlet in Delaware (Ken and Roy) and Georgia (Mark) and each time I found them very helpful. My mobile station is exactly as I wanted and I'm looking forward to setting up my home ham shack using HRO. The prices were comparable and the shipping was speedy. Highly recommend!

Dropped off some of my uncles stuff.
They took it even though they couldn't sell it.because It was too old. But they were able to give it to a school to help kids.
They made me and my husband feel welcome.

I've been "visiting" HRO Delaware occassionally over the last 18 months. The staff is very personable and knowledgeable, as well as patient. As a recently minted ham, they've made me feel welcome to the hobby and have been very helpful.

Great store. Drove down from New York just to see and talk about what I wanted to purchase, they we're great. They directed me in the right direction. Come down the following week and purchased everything I needed.
