To be fair, I don't like beer. I can't even stand the smell. But it's fun going once a year and picking out an eclectic selection as a gift for my husband with only my most basic knowledge of types he likes. He enjoys trying things that he normally wouldn't have chosen. Some are good, some are terrible, but it's an adventure.

Great selection! They even had what seems to be the last bottle of yellow chartreuse in MD that I could find! The staff was also very friendly.

Absolutely love this establishment. We live in NYC and visit family in Newark often; a State Line trip is MANDATORY. Incredible staff (special shout-out to Joe, master sommelier, and Carol, the cheese lady), unbeatable wine selection, frequent sales, and somehow even their snack section is amazing. It doesn't look like much on the outside, but walking inside is like entering a wonderland!! Not to be missed.

This place is so much fun!!! If your 21 and up and looking for booze this is the place. They have everything !! From a cheese shop, to a bar for tasting, rows of liquor!!! They have very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They do personal orders if your looking for something particular that they might not have. They have top shelf liquor to cheap college liquor. There cheese selection is great and they have locally made cheese !!They also have one of my favorites a Meade shelf!!! And of course they have wine!!! Plenty of coolers filled with local beer!! You can even join there membership reward system for free!
Of course they have everything in different sizes from cute mini bottles to large kegs! If you need help finding something just ask!! You can get lost in here looking for things. I found things I never even heard of!! So check this place out!! Support local located on the De/MD line

This place is the literal beer candy store. I asked them through Google maps if they carried any Belgium style beers or traditional sours, and they said yes. I walked in expecting to see a handful of options, but this place has aisles and aisles of choices. You will not be disappointed!

I've never been in here before and some nice gentleman asked me what kind of beer I liked, I told him not ipa, not hoppy, but dark. He led me to a wonderful area in the back that had the best beer on draft and he gave me a sample. It was the best beer I've ever tasted. So, I got a large growler. It was number 35. Loved it. That place is so huge and the people are so nice and helpful. Thank you guys for a wonderful beer and experience.

Without a doubt, one of the best curated selections of wine, spirits and beers that I have seen in years. The management knows exactly what they are doing- and it is reflected on the shelves. Do not pass go, but collect 200 dollars and get yourself here.

Do not let the drab exterior fool you. This is absolutely the best beer, wine, and liquor emporium in the region, and likely a huge swath of the eastern seaboard. Nearly overwhelming selection of beers & ciders. Very knowledgeable, helpful, and plentiful staff, too. Outstanding wine & liquor selection as well. Frequent buyer club! My “go to”!

I've been a patron of State Liquors for a few years, and whereas it has always been good; I felt our most recent visit was reflexive of a whole new caliber. The broad selection of items is very inspiring, the prices are known for miles to be the best, and we love getting gift certificates to give for special occasions. Staff are very courteous and approachable and ensure your needs are met without feeling overbearing.

This place isn't fancy but they have a great selection of wines, hard liquor, and beer. Good prices and helpful staff. Well worth a visit.

One of the best liquor stores I've been to. Great craft beer selections-from all over the country, wine, and liquor. Delicious Red Dragon Mustard Ale cheese ever and many others to choose from. Crackers, pickles, sauces, and pretty much everything you'll need to have a great night.

Amazing selection of beers on tap and in the bottle. Some unique items on tap, too! Great selections of unique finds from wines, bourbon, to non-alcoholic drinks as well. The staff is helpful, friendly and really knowledgeable.

If you're a fan of craft beer, especially imports, this is probably one of the best destinations in the mid-east coast. You can get stuff here that you literally can't get anywhere else.

A great place to stop and grab beer if you're passing through and want to save a few bucks. Regularly have a variety pack of IPAs on sale. Wide variety of beers from all around and many different styles. Such a big variety you have to be a bit mindful of the packaging dates. I don't think I've ever come across anything a year old there, but six months sure. I don't consider this a complaint. They do a great job rotating stuff out, it's just that there is such a huge selection. Anyone would have a hard time keeping up with it. So if freshness matters to you, just check the date.

Can't ask for a better selection of wine, beer, and liquor. The fact can "create" your own packs of beer is absolute tops. Always feel guilty breaking up variety packs of beer to grab the ones I like out of them, but it is what it is. There isn't much that I have not wanted that could not be found here.
