Green Mountain Wine Shop

This place is sick. The owner is amazing (looks like the host from Cash Cab with the mask on). He basically up-sold us on everything except for the two wine bottles we got from the <$15 section- but I trust everything he said. The Prospect beer is sublime (like we were told) and the ham is also divine (as suggested !!). Definitely stopping here to load up on VT local goods, before heading back to NY.

We are fortunate to have a wine shop of this caliber in the amazing small town of Newfane, VT. A down-to-earth proprietor with excellent wine across a range of prices and regions laid out floor to ceiling across two rooms, and a small selection of outstanding prepared meat and cheese. Even worth a special trip if you wish to see a good selection of fairly high-end wine in one location. The spot is in a white house off the side of a beautiful road very near the center of this great small town. Highly recommended!

Each time I frequent the Green Mountain Wine Shop in Newfane I’m always pleasantly surprised by the well curated selection of beer, wine and specialty goods which they offer. The staff is always very friendly and knowledgeable. Stopping in is a must every time I am traveling through this beautiful area of Vermont.

A great new place to the area offering a wide range of wines, craft beer, and cheese! The owners are very personable and down to earth.They are knowledgeable in their products while remaining humble as they listen to and are considerate of customer suggestions, which shows passion for what they do. Very enjoyable experience when shopping there.

Highly recommend stopping in to the Green Mountain Wine Shop. Betsy and Rich are very knowledgeable and have a great selection of wine and beer to chose from. Not to mention the selection of cheese, meats , and chocolates to pair with your purchase. Whenever we are in the area we will be sure to stop in again!

Best Local Beer and Fine Wine around! A must stop on the way to Stratton! Cheese and meat selection is fantastic! Look for the La Molisana dry sausage, its delicious with most red wine and cheese.

Great wine and hard to find craft beer selection. We were greeted by the owners who made our shopping experience friendly and personalized. This is a wonderful addition to our community.

Not a wine person so can't comment on that, but the beer selection is awesome! Great Vermont beers, for sure. Also some nice meats and cheeses, crackers etc. A great shop to add to our town for sure.
