Goodwill of Delaware and Delaware County Donation Center is an incredible organization that plays a crucial role in supporting the local community. By accepting and reselling gently used items, they help to reduce waste while providing affordable goods to those in need.

Not only does Goodwill Delaware County donation center benefit the environment and the local economy, but it also helps to support job training programs and employment opportunities for individuals facing barriers to employment. This means that by donating to or shopping at Goodwill, you're not just making a positive impact on the environment, but you're also helping to improve the lives of people in your community.

In addition to their important work in the community, Goodwill of Delaware County donation center is also known for their exceptional customer service. Their staff members are friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that every customer has a positive experience.

Essentially just go here expecting for a terrible experience. You want to bring gloves and a mask(if you have allergies to pets). Going in expecting the staff to be the way they are and the disgustingness of the place, you will be fine. I would also expect to not find anything good, that way when you do find something good, you're satisfied with your experience here. Obviously people will be obnoxious and selfish with searching the bins that's just how humans work. Stop complaining about the inevitable and do what you need to do to thrift. Luckily the management changed a few months ago from having people wait outside for the new flip, to keeping them indoors and flipping the item side and clothes side separately. I have almost always found at least one thing that I want to take home from here, so it is still a great place to find the goods. Especially since the bins are reset every hour and a half or so. I suspect the staff deal with a lot of difficult people, which leads to why they are so immediate with their aggression. Just don't think much of it and keep coming back to find clothes and donate to charity.

I have a lot of fun here! You never know the items you will get from the bins for less than $2 per Ib. It's worth the experience and time, if you love the hunt!. Some days are good and some are not. The customer service from the current team/management is excellent (Nancy, Emily, Logan, Mike).. are doing a phenomenal job. Couldn't get any better!!

Since covid they have a new shopping style and restrictions You get 45 seconds to rummage through each 3"x6" bin before the bell rings and you move to the next bin, until you've gone through all the bins in each section (Wares on one end and Clothing on the other).

This outlet does it right and the other Goodwills should be following this model. I have been to bins up and down the east coast and this one just makes it more fun and safer to shop.

1) prior to people shopping they state the rules to everyone to ensure safety
2) children are welcome but must remain in the cart for Safety!
3)bins are evenly distributed and separated by category
4)there’s a sorting table!
5)they have a snack machine
6) they have bathrooms
7)no one is crowding the bins and people are able to move around with carts. (Big place)
8) there’s parking!! (Probably should have been written first)
9)books are priced amazing!
10)staff is friendly and so helpful

Very fun and energetic shopping experience. We go here almost everyday. Every employee is very nice to not only my husband and I but our little girl and son! Great job :) Val and Megan are the sweetest girls working there!! We truly enjoy coming here. Big thank you to the workers who bust their butts hauling these heavy bins and dealing with whiney customers.

Edit: 7/10/22 They went back to the "old" standard of people elbowing you to get into the bin you're already in. Bummer.

Have you ever wanted to play a game show while thrifting? NOWS YOUR CHANCE! Since covid they have altered the way you "play" at this thrift *outlet*. (This isn't a thrift store where all the clothing is organised by color, but true outlet style 3'x6' bins, with gems intermixed with garbage, on its last chance before getting shipped to its final death.)

The game starts while you wait in line outside for your "ticket." The staff asks if you want "wares" or "clothing". Your ticket has a corresponding bin inside. Now the real fun starts: you get about 45 seconds to rummage through the bin before a bell is rung and you have to move to the next bin! Grab anything you don't want anyone else to have! Go! Next bin! After going through all the bins people tend to sort through their carts and figure out what they actually want to buy versus hoard in their cart. The show lasts about 30-40 minutes before you have to check out and leave the store. Between rounds staff move all the old bins out and refresh with new bins of junk!

Absolutely entertaining, especially if you don't mind sorting through a little bit of broken glass or clothing with body fluids stains. But hey, at <$2/lb you can't beat it.

Shopping here is a sociological experience! It's definitely not for everyone. If you need clean, organized, uncrowded, hassle free shopping, you should stay away. But if you enjoy the "hunt," interaction with people from different cultures and backgrounds and real bargains, check out this place.
Goods are sold by weight. Consider wearing gloves or bring hand sanitizer to use after you rummage through the bins. What fun!

I loved it! Me and my friend got a cart full of stuff for about $20. Make sure you do not have a time limit and be ready to pick through a lot of things. Bring hand sanitizer! Some things are heavy, some are broken, some are straight up gross but some things are definitely worth it! The cashier was very helpful as well. It is very overwhelming at first so ease into it and pick through stuff bin by bin.

Back to normal, no more waiting in line for a ticket and bell ringing every 90 seconds. One added plus is they make you leave the store when they switch the bins so there is less odds of getting run over when the new bins come out.

But like always, the New Castle GW Outlet is a sport. Don’t go here if you’re looking for a casual shopping experience. Try the Lancaster or Avondale GWO instead.

The pricing is great.. Where else can u go and the price depends on the weight of ur cart??? No where.. I was just there yesterday and my bill was $69....what did I get?? GPS unit valued at$60 in-store, electric heater valued at $50 dollars in store... Those two items paid for my cart... Not to mention all the other items in my 2 carts full of items...love this place!

A great experience. Make the trip from NE Philly to the outlet every 6-8 weeks. Pickup my online purchases & spend the day. When the bins are full there is plenty of good items to search for. The Staff is friendly & helpful. The bin changes are organized & a blast to watch or take part in. I have purchased everything from High End Stereo Equipment to a Wedding Dress that looked to be custom made & fitted for one of my office ladies. Bring a friend and have some fun. Oh and its all for a Good Cause "GoodWill" Heading to Delaware today, See you there!

Great for resellers and people that just want things for themselves personally. The thrill is getting to everything once they ring the bell and change the bins every few hours. I've found countless gems here.
Love it!!!

So I found this place pretty interesting I’ve never been to something like this it honestly isn’t for me I didn’t know where to begin not to say it’s a bad thing but if you have some extra time check it out I had to leave because my baby started crying so I guess it’s best you don’t go with babies your touching a lot of different stuff and digging and digging best to wear gloves if you have the men working there where nice to me I did pick up some kids books but people had shopping carts full of things I was happy for them

As the name is; Outlet style, mostly unorganized goods. Best fit for dropping off and running. Not so good for shopping. Guy at drop off location is very helpful and friendly.

At one time I felt the same BUT you have to give the store a CHANCE! I have come away with such bargains that are amazing. You do have to take precautions and wash the clothing, clean the toys, etc. etc. It is hit or miss. But once you get over the culture shock and get the "rhythm" of the store you won't want to go back to the "traditional" Goodwill.

I always enjoy coming here. Sometimes it can be a bit crowded for my comfort level. Still "goodwill outlet" is a store I visit whenever I'm near one... Richmond, Baltimore, Reading, and I think this location is one of my favorites.

Goodwill Outlet of New Castle is an adventure. It can be hit or miss as far as the types and amount of merchandise they'll have on any given day. It's basically the last chance stop for donated goods. Fellow shoppers can be a little aggressive in their search, however the employees have always been very kind and helpful which more than makes up for it.
