Hugo's Pizza

What can I say... these folks just think outta the box (get it.. Pizza box? Lol). So, I'm diabetic. My wife and I eat very low carb. But we love Pizza. So I order the Pizza with "very light sauce and double of all the ingredients" because the crust is just a delivery vehicle for us. We eat the toppings (which by the way, Hugo's just makes a great Pizza). So tonight I order our usual and go to pick it up. Young lady at the counter says "I don't mean to get personal but aren't you our diabetic Pizza guy?". I confirm. She asks "can you have garlic butter?" I tell her we love garlic butter and yes I can eat all the dairy I want. She says "okay, we are trying something.. we made you a second Pizza, a small one. We want you to try this on us. Instead of the red sauce they used garlic butter! We think it'll be easier for you to separate it from the crust"! I told them to charge me for it. They politely declined . "It's on us, let us know what you think". It's awesome, they're awesome, just warms my heart when people pay attention! Just go there. Great food and AN INCREDIBLE STAFF! Thanks Hugo's, you folks just get it! Couldn't be happier. When so many things seem to be going sideways today, it's just joyous to know there's still businesses out there that was by your business and want you to be happy. It worked!

Wait was long, they made us the wrong pizza, but service was very friendly and they remade the pizza. Absolutely delicious. When I am back in Ashland and not in a hurry I will absolutely be back. Plus price was fantastic lemonade and pizza for 3, 24 bucks

Wonderful food, my favorite place in the area to eat. Excellent service and friendly staff. I've eaten in and carried out and have had wonderfully experiences.

The deep dish pizza, chicken sandwich, bacon cheeseburger and chicken alfredo were amazing. The lasagna was quite salty but some people might prefer it that way. The waitress was very friendly and the food came out fast. I would definitely recommend Hugo's.

Food was delicious. Very friendly staff. Clean facility. My only nitpick is with the paper towel dispenser in the restroom. It's definitely mounted to high for children to reach. Not a big deal, just ask for extra napkins. 9.8/10. Absolutely recommended.

Best pizza, quite possibly in Wisconsin and maybe the Midwest. The taste and the crust must be an old family recipe that is not found anywhere else. The crust is almost a pastry on its own. The sauce adds so much to the pizza without a sweetness to distract the taste buds. The pizza here is fantastic. It is better than many, many I have had in Chicago or Milwaukee. Oh, and have your pizza with a pint of Doane's beer. You will thank me for the suggestion, I guarantee it. Enjoy this place. It is very good food.

I just had Hugo's for the first time. Let me say that I travel for my job so I have experienced quite a few different pizza places. Hugo's is absolutely one of the best I've ever eaten. I had the Hawaiian pizza (I know pineapple on a pizza.😳) I couldn't stop eating it. I ordered a 10" one, are it all and wish I had more!! If you are ever in Ashland Wisconsin, I HIGHLY recommend them. I can't wait till my travels get me closer to Ashland!!

We had the taco pizza, in their original crust, it was amazing! Saw a few people with the deep dish and the Chicago style pizza, they both looked so good. Would definitely go back if in the area again, and would definitely try one of the other crust styles. Would highly recommend checking this place out if looking for a good, filling pizza at a very reasonable price!

Amazing food best pizza 🍕

Our company orders lunch regularly from Hugo's and we had one bad experience. The owner came in and apologized and made it more than right for us. The food is great and the service is too! We will continue patronizing Hugo's regularly!

Been eating at Hugo’s pizza as long as I can remember always a must stop when I’m up north. Their sausage and pep pizza is delicious.

Delicious pizza and great staff. We were on vacation when we stopped. Had a delicious pizza and left without my purse. Didn't realize this until the next morning when I went into full panic mode. Had to wait until around 10am until someone got to the store but my bag was there and everything was intact. Thank you Hugo's!!

Atmosphere is dated but the service and people were very good! Great pizza, loved the sauce, wish I had the recipe!

First off, WOW, impeccable customer service. The pizza was hands down amazing. We were In Town for business and needed some good pie. The pizza was deliciously juice with a plethora of topping. We loved the way the pie was cut. Very easy to eat. The young lady at the counter was very helpful. The shots were delightful. Keep up the good work. We will be back.

And for the idiot who said the pizza was not cooked right because The toppings fall off. Take a cooking class. Topping fall off of hot pizzas all the time!!!!
