I booked a 2-night weekend stay as a wedding anniversary surprise for my wife of 59 years! Everything related to this stay was outstanding - the beautiful comfortable spotless room, great helpful staff, and oh my ---- the food! We ate at Andrias Table both nights and were treated to some of the best food we've ever enjoyed even after eating in some of the highest rated restaurants all over the world. The 1st night we split a spring roll 1st course, and both had the lamb duo as main. The items were perfectly cooked and presentation 5 star ++ The portions were also more than ample so the 2nd night we skipped appetizer. On that night my wife enjoyed the beef duo, and I had the salmon special -- again both outstanding. The table was ours for the evening - no rush but just right attention. The breakfasts that were included with the room were equally delicious and certainly ample. Inn owner Andria even stopped by to ensure we were comfortable and were enjoying our stay. I also treated my wife to a massage booked for us by the Inn which was also 5 star +. I can't say enough good about this experience simply OUTSTANDING.

Had our first dinner at the New Four Columns on Saturday Evening, the food was Devine. What an incredible meal, apps were amazing and entrees even better. If you love Wine, you will be blown away by there Wine List! Owner is awesome, Staff is top of the line and Chef Phil & Josh did an amazing job! Definitely save room for dessert, mind blowing!

Wow. I returned home to Newfane to celebrate the life of Monika Chardain this spring. Chef Andrea and her daughter Francesca opened not only the Four Columns but also their hearts to us. The entire staff was professional, attentive and positive. The grounds were immaculate and in full bloom. Our breakfast each morning was fresh and exploding with flavor. The duck dinner I enjoyed was 5 star and the wine selection that Francesca curated for our weekend was perfect. The rooms were sparkling clean, water pressure was excellent and the appointments were historical with a Vermont flair. I can't wait to return with my wife for a weekend get-away soon. Thank you Four Columns for helping us remember such a wonderful woman!

We had two meals at the bar. The food was excellent, especially the mussels and the steak, but everything we had was terrific (and we are super critical food curmudgeons...)

But even nicer was the staff. Everyone was extremely welcoming and friendly and interesting to talk with (especially trading travel stories with bartender Quinn). It made for an unusually enjoyable dining experience and we can't wait to return!

We loved this place! Such a cozy town and and what an amazing room! We only stayed one night but we were welcomed with a bottle of champagne and cheese platter. We had dinner at a quaint table by the stream at the edge of the lawn then enjoyed a hike through quiet trails behind the inn. All around a delightful stay and will definitely be returning!

It has been 2 years since the last time my wife and I had been there. I didn't think it was possible, but our stay was better than the last. The Inn is on beautiful property. Our room was very clean and extremely comfortable..

The Chef, Andrew has done and amazing job with the menu. The food, especially breakfast, was delicious.

Spencer, the manager, always had a a smile and was always asking if we were good or if we need anything take our stay better.

Mariya who was at the front desk was extremely helpful and always had a kind word.

Dorien, the bartender at the tavern was so attentive and pleasant. Make sure your try the Frosty North if your there, you won't regret it.

My wife scheduled a massage while we were there. She said it was the best massage she has had ever! Thank you Tracey.

There were many more that made our stay so memorable, Lorena, Emma, Emma, Mr. Bob and George! I know that I'm missing people. I just want to say thank you to the whole Four Columns staff for a great weekend!

We will be back again

Very enjoyable french inspired cuisine with a wine list that was just the right size. Though more shwanky than my usual haunts, they did tagliatelle very well (I am a noodle reviewer afterall!), the owner was very lovely.

My stay at the four columns was amazing!! Everyone was so nice and our room was beautiful! The fireplace and jacuzzi tub were enjoyed thoroughly😊 Our dinner was beyond expectations and truly a very fun dining experience, never mind the awesome complimentary breakfast! Can't wait to come back in the summer❤

This is the perfect place if you'd like to get away and not worry too much about Covid (or if you just like a little breathing room). The rooms are spread about the grounds and we encountered perhaps only 4 people the whole time. The property is beautiful, the rooms are lovely and meticulously clean. The staff - from the moment we called to the moment we left - were above and beyond friendly, helpful and professional (we even got a call that we left our car windows open and it was pouring). We had decided to cut our trip short, however, because there is no cell service in that part of Vermont (apparently it is AT&T country). My husband and I are not tethered to our cell phones, but we wanted to do some exploration around the area and didn't feel comfortable not being able to access GPS or reach our pet sitter should there have been an emergency. The restaurant was also closed and the tavern's "light bites" were only cold cheese and meat plates. But, they did have a very nice continental breakfast spread. We will be back again in ski season! (But with good old fashion maps and an emergency AT&T cell phone :) Thank you Lorina and Mariah for everything!

Unbelievable! Just amazing! Celebrated my birthday and everything from start to finish was top notch! Highly recommend! Service stellar! Food just got better and better!

Truffle fries: lovely
Fish: tasty and fresh
Ravioli: beyond the best pasta dish I’ve ever had
Scallops: over the top, yum
Free bread: rustic and hearty
Desserts: just ok

Beautiful ambiance.

I’d eat here everyday, if I could!

Thank you Four Columns!

We absolutely loved our stay here. The staff was awesome, very friendly and welcoming. Our room was luxurious and thoroughly relaxing. The grounds were gorgeous. We loved getting to sit by the river. We have plans to go back every year. Highly recommend.

My husband and I enjoyed 3.5 days at the Four Columns Inn immediately following our wedding in November 2017. We were completely blown away by its quaint charm, friendly staff, and cozy vibe.

When we first arrived, we were informed that they had taken it upon themselves to upgrade our room as someone had stayed in the room we reserved the night before with a dog and they were concerned about the smell. 10 bonus points immediately. From there, our stay became even more spectacular. Everyone made us feel at home away from home and offered wonderful recommendations for things to do and see around the area. Special shoutout to Shire at the front desk. We loved her! Plus her name is Shire - pretty cool. It's been said already, but I'll say it again: the food is incredible! Unfortunately, we did not get to try dinner service (so many local restaurants to try), but we had an amazing breakfast at the inn every morning we were there. Scrumptious.

Our upgraded room was fantastic. With a huge fireplace that opened up to a large bathroom, we were extremely cozy and comfortable throughout our stay. We were able to take advantage of other cozy nooks in the inn and enjoy a couple afternoons in the common room downstairs reading and sipping wine.

Also enjoyed a couples massage. I can't remember their names (a male and female), but they were both warm and attentive to our needs. The steam shower at the end in that beautiful bathroom was the cherry on top.

We will definitely be back! Shire, if you read this, thank you for making our stay so easy!

We finally made it for dinner, and were very impressed. I ordered the bolognese and it was one of the finest I've ever had. My fiancée ordered the scallops and they were wonderfully pan seared. She commented that the winter fruits with the scallops were a bit out of left field, but good none-the-less. The service was friendly and attentive. We were seated near the fireplace, which provided a nice ambiance.

Great little get-away not far from brattleboro & Mount Snow. We got upgraded to a room with a fireplace when we arrived & had a great meal at the artisan restaurant. Staff were friendly, rooms were clean & comfy. Would stay again.

Kind, attentive staff, delicious breakfast and tavern snacks, cute and comfortable room, and gorgeously maintained property! What more could you want from a New England getaway?! We loved our visit to the Four Columns Inn and would recommend to anyone!

Four Columns Inn is great! Food, ambiance, the grounds, all bucolic, picturesque, and classic New England! There's a small stream for wading or just listening to while relaxing, and a nice 4-mile trail on-site that is the perfect first hike after checking-in at 3pm (as you'll be done with the hike by 5pm as the woods dim... and get spooky!) - not really!

Excellent location for Green Mountain hiking too. I would absolutely recommend for a few nights to get away from the city! And Shire (the receptionist/does everything) is awesome... she's super nice and friendly!

Thanks!

Ate there several times both in the bar and restaurant (for brunch). Food is delicious and beautifully presented. Casey was our bartender; very friendly and a lot of fun! Has a cozy sitting room with fireplace. Will be back!

A quite hidden gem in VT. The staff makes you feel like you're family. My fiancé and I had a great couples massage which I highly recommend. But the best part was the food. 5 stars! Perfect spot for a night or 2 getaway

Service great and friendly. Food unreal. Every dish a once in lifetime treat. We had soup of day, scallops, steak, knocky, duck, and special. One dish better than other. Even vegies unreal and so flavorful. We are going back this week
