Big Apple Diner

We found this gem, while on a road trip with the kiddies. The kids were so impressed with their food, they wanted to personally compliment the chef! Our servers were attentive and patient with our little ones. And the sweet tea was top tier!! (Made in house)

I ate during an off time with almost no other customers present as a lunch stop on a long drive from NJ to VT. Good food, inexpensive prices, and quick and friendly service. Very extensive pie selection. Almost stopped on my way back to NJ days later, but it was an early Sunday afternoon with an almost full parking lot so I assumed there would be a wait. Clearly, it is popular with locals too.

The big apple diner is the best place to eat in the great united state of America. The big rig burger is a absolutely mint find, the mint classic locals will give you a lot of good advice on local things. there was a maggot in my burger it was moving, but really that just added to the spectacular peculiar vibe. The food erupts in my gizzard box like Mt. Vesuvius of 1843. Ended my meal with a mint desert marlboro 100 on the classic mint porch. Talked to a trucker about the ins and outs of life and love and death. he honked his tooter box for me as he rolled into the mint upstate NY sunset. really just gave me a wicked half mast all around.

We stopped by this place while passing though the area and was glad we did.

Food: Amazing and portion size was good and filling.
burger- amazing perfectly done, probably the best I had, buns, which was the star of the show. The burger was great as well.
Michigan dog - fantastic
pork chops- amazing as well, nicely done. A LOT of sides, I got the mash potatoes and squash. And the bread was amazing too.
Pie - was good too but the food really took the show

Service- fantastic and fast. Our server was really nice too

Overall: great food, great service and great price

Asked for a sandwich of my own mixture, it came out perfect! My husband's meatloaf was plentiful and tasty and our waitress kept our coffee cups full. Enjoyed our visit and will return.

I have to say I have stopped their many times and the food and the service are the greatest. The ladies working their were the sweetiest people. If you want a great home cooked meal and great kind friendly service at a great price stop their.

Service was great! Hand breaded country fried steak, delicious sausage gravy, perfect home fries, and hot coffee. It's a great way to start the day!

The staff is super friendly and the food was fresh and delicious the waitress Tonya was super nice. Coffee was excellent prices were great too! The locals and regulars coming in were friendly.Highly recommend stopping here

On my way to Vermont I stopped with friends to have dinner and the big apple diner was on the road.

The venue is ok, not a fancy place but the staff is super nice and very friendly.

The food is great, we got an amazing ribeye steak with fries that was delicious. Friends ordered pie that was good.

It's a typical truck stop diner, but the food is good, and plenty of it for a reasonable price. This is my 1st time ever eating there, the service was very friendly and good. Highly recommend them.

My housemate told me about this place and I loved it. Would definitely visit again. I don't have a pic of the hot chocolate but it was the best hot chocolate I've had in a while

At first, I wasn't sure about the diner due to the looks of the inside, but the food was good. Service was excellent. Loved that a majority of their food was homemade including the fries and macaroni salad. Their chocolate cream pie was really good. I would definitely go there again!

We've been coming to the Big Apple Diner for almost 40 years and love it. Great food and service. You won't leave hungry.

Stopped in this morning on the way back from Burlington to get something on the fly. Super friendly people. Had one of the best sausag/egg/cheese breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. Can't wait to stop in the next time i'm passing through and try something to eat in house. Pies looked fantastic.

When you live on the road, you eat at Denny's a lot and start to think it's all the same. Then you stop at a place like Big Apple Diner and are reminded it's not all the same. The quality of the food, the service, the atmosphere, all of the highest caliber. The pinnacle of the small American Diner, unparalleled by any chain, no matter how much a franchisee might try to offer the best service they can. This is not an American roadside diner, this THE American roadside Diner.

Best Burger! Super friendly service especially during COVID-19!

I love small local diners. Big Apple Diner has really good food and great service with very good prices.
I've stopped here several times and will try to plan my trip around there hours.
