Casavant Nature Area

Between the sweet underpass graffiti and the diverse and stunning terrain, this little urban(ish) park is quite a sight! Only downside is stagnant water = bugs galore. But so, so worth it.

Great wild gem right next to the most densely populated part of Vermont. Bring boots, because many trails can be a bit muddy or downright wet. In the winter the snowshoeing is great. Nice place for dogs, but I have seen broken bottles here a time or two (most often closer to the trail entrances and along the river occasionally) so there are signs you aren't completely separated from a large population of people.

Great place to take dogs to play! This is a great little oasis in downtown Winooski and I am there almost every day with the dog or running through on my run.

I walk the nature trail with my son and dogs often! Great trail!

Nice little hiking area. Some parts of the path are over grown and there was some poison ivy. The part we hiked was not paved and there was some waking up and down hills. I was impressed with the bridge and elevated boards for navigating over water areas. There were also a couple of small waterfalls that were quite lovely.
While not handicap accessible, the path was well marked and easy for small children and someone who was out of shape. If they fix the overgrown path, I would give it a 5/5
