La Pizzeria Metro

Not only is this my favorite pizza shop because of the different flavors for everyone and the friendly staff, but La Pizzeria helped us host my friend’s Engagement Party which turned out to be a beautiful night with a great aesthetic. The staff is awesome and seem excited to serve customers! Not pictured are all the different cocktails available!! They have a great drink menu for everyone’s taste. I personally love their dessert cocktails. I wish this place the best and hope they continue to thrive :)

My husband and I love La Pizzeria Metro. We visited the first week it opened a few years ago and hadn’t been back until the start of this summer (2023). It quickly became our favorite pizza spot locally. We love the personal size of the pizzas, and the options available. I am a vegetarian so pizza is a number one option for me. I think the prices are great for the amount of food and the taste. It’s a very nice bar, and the servers are great. We have become regulars and the servers and hosts remember our faces which is really nice to see when you are a local. My husband actually says this place is his favorite pizza around. He gets The Market Street. We will definitely keep coming, and we enjoy the friendly faces. The only draw back can be kids because they can get loud, but that is what it is. Thank you for being a great neighborhood spot.

Absolutely one of the best pizza places around. Not only are the pizzas cooked perfection, there is an incredibly creative variety.

If you are not in the mood for pizza, try the eggplant Parmesan skillet. Incredible!

Very good pizza. The crust is soft and slightly crunchy, perfect to me.
Theyvuse use a pizza oven which you can see constantly if you eat inside.

Few improvment points: the tomato sauce could be more tasty, it would improve the Margharita pizza. And the butter sauce that is on "The Flats" less on the garlic.

A top 3 best pizza spot for authentic Italian brick-oven style pizza. They start with high quality ingredients and it only gets better from there.
The brick-oven baked gnocchi is must try.
With a varied menu and great mix of pizza creations, as well as build your own pizza option, the choices can surely satisfy everyone in your party. The Margherita is a true classic, the closest you’ll get to true pizza Napoletana in New Castle County. A personal favorite, The Rockford Park is exceptional(I like it without the tomato sauce. I call it The Rockford Park in winter, it’s the one with arugula in the pics) Try it, it’s phenomenal. When I’m craving authentic Italian pizza, this is my destination!

The ambience is really nice, it’s a huge restaurant, hip!
I had the wood fire margherita pizza with smoked pork belly. Also cast iron chicken wings. Both entries delicious! My first pizza in Delaware and it’s a 5 starts for me. I do recommend it.

Excellent flavor combinations for the specialty pizzas. My favorite is the Monkey Hill with ricotta! My husband enjoys a traditional pepperoni pie. Great appetizers, especially the long hots. This popular restaurant makes everything fresh so be prepared to wait. Friendly staff.

Ordered takeout from here since they don't deliver unfortunately; needless to say the pizza here make is worth the wait. They have a large pizza oven easily able to be seen from the resturaunt side through glass walls separating the kitchen area which is nice. Everything is kept real clean and tidy. Staff is super friendly - not much else to ask for from a resturaunt.

I come here on a regular basis and it’s always spot on. I make Neapolitan pizza at home so it’s always been hard fore to find a place that I enjoy. Well this is it! I love your pizzeria. And your s’mores dessert pizza is to die for. ♥♥♥

Thee BEST Eggplant Parmigiana that I have had in a very long time! Not to mention it smells great in there as soon as you walk thru the door!
I had driven past this place 1,000 times and I never knew what a hidden gem it was……. Definitely going back!!!!

Went here for lunch during work Break and I was not disappointed! All the food my coworkers and I ordered had nothing but good reviews. I got a calzone; it came out a little burnt but it still tasted amazing. I enjoyed all the different cheeses coming together and the size of it was very generous given the price. My coworkers described their pizzas as “delicious and amazing”. All of us agree that’s we would come back because the food, service, and atmosphere were above and beyond.

You know you are in for a good pizza experience when you can smell roasting garlic in the parking lot. Then when you get inside you see a spread of broccoli rabe, artichokes and roasted peppers alongside the typical pizza toppings by the beautifully tiled wood fired pizza oven. Their description says it all, "traditional pizza with modern day passion". We love this restaurant and are happy to recommend it. Did I mention there is also an outstanding brewery next door?

The service was great, everything about the food was amazing. The flavors are unique but definitely delicious. We had the Trolly Square which is a buffalo chicken type pizza. This picture does not do it justice. The crust is light and fluffy, sauce is perfect, the cheese I'd never had before but it went perfectly. We also had the Jersey Shore which was equally delicious. Fresh tasting vegetables and the crust was fantastic. I'd never had a stromboli where I didnt feel like it was too much bread until this meal. The cupcakes are just as marvelous tasting and even has a cute little hand made pizza decoration. I can't wait to order again!

Amazinnnng wood oven pizza! Plenty of flavor and spices (not just plain sauce and cheese) and crust was exceptional. Gelato was so creamy and delicious too. Staff was super quick and friendly! Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for artisan style pizza.

Great variety of pizzas....the best pizza I've had in a while. Fresh ingredients, and definitely not heavy like a chain store. The only negative thing I think is the menu isn't really kid friendly.

First time there and we'll definitely be returning. Everything we orders was delicious and the variety of Pizza they offer is outstanding!

La Pizzeria Metro is the best Artisanal Pizza Place in northern Delaware. Everything they make is made in a brick oven and it's all delicious. Being next door to one of the best breweries in Delaware doesn't hurt either. A couple of notes.

1. Because they only have the one oven they can get backed up quickly. I highly recommend you order an hour ahead.

2. Because they are Artisanal the pizza only comes in one size (I believe it's a 12 inch).

3. If you haven't tried them you owe it to yourself too try their brick oven baked garlic hot honey wings. They are fantastic!

4. You can order food and carry it over to the brewery.
