An amazing elementary filled with caring and talented teachers. Administration is very hands-on and connected to students. Great compassion based emotional intelligence instruction for students. Great global school program (only one in DCPS) A wonderful school!

The administration and teachers are top notch and students can join the Reading All-Stars program for free literacy tutoring on Saturday mornings.

Do not enroll your child this school! Too much favoritism. This school is not academically strong. Some of the teachers are not seasoned teachers that will push your child academically and challenge their minds. If a child has trouble grasping a subject in their class. Teachers will quickly say that they cannot give you child one on one instruction. Can't help the child who is struggling in a school subject. Basically, your child will be left lost and left behind. Teachers will just pass your child to the next grade when they know child is struggling. Too much bullying at this school too. No strict no bullying policy at this school! Bullies get the upper hand and your child the victim gets punished. Your child keeps getting picked on and there is no strict and no tough punishment for the bullies. Your child the (victim) will be sent to a so-called behavioral specialist who is a quack! DCPS is a joke.

Teachers and staff allowed their kindergarten class to taste various different leaves and herbs without the permission of parents, or any regard as to whether or not there would be adverse reactions. Very irresponsible staff members.
