Went there to buy two things and stupidly left one of the things on the counter after I paid and didn’t realize as I didn’t need the item right away. The woman at the register tracked me down a week later and called me and I was able to go pick it up. So appreciative of the lengths she went to find me!!! A++++ service!

Quite a small store but full of inventory and everything very well organized and tidy.
Very friendly and helpful staff, they will help you quickly find what you are looking for. This makes the difference with the big chain stores.

If you have fond memories of a small, local hardware store with a helpful staff that always seemed to have a solution to your household maintenance problems, you can still find that at Fairfax Hardware. They've moved a bit and are now in the north end of the Fairfax Shopping Center near Panera Bread.

Great place! Associates were super patient and helpful with me. Clean store with lots of variety in stock. Grateful to have a place like this in out community.

Fairfax Hardware has always been a great Hardware store. Pretty much anything you want or need they have. Also if you need advice or instructions they are knowledgeable and willing to help.

Fairfax Hardware is a refreshing change from big box outlets like Home Depot and Loews. The staff are super helpful. My new mantra is that if Fairfax Hardware doesn’t have it, I probably don’t need it.

Fairfax has been the best hardware store I've been to. Very knowledgeable, polite, and helpful staff, willing to sell you the right product or recommend a place that has it. Will offer thoughts on your project. Variety, quality, and a great credit/refund policy. My only complaint is made with wishful thinking: I wish he had another store, and that it was right near me!!! (But worth the drive)

Outstanding local hardware store! Always very helpful, friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Every time I go, they help me find the exact part quickly. And answer questions effectively. So tired of getting lost with little support in the big box stores . . . these guys are great!

Went to get a storm door key made, super helpful associate went through the selection of keys thoroughly to find one that would work and explained the differences between keys. Told me that he was going to do his best to find a match. 10/10 service. Bonus** his guess was spot on all 3 copies worked!

I love this store they always have what i need from hard to find to oh thats cute. And the gentleman who rung me up today was so nice to offer me the new layaway plan after the young man who assisted offered me to try and apply for the 💳 cause at 11cents a piece for the 3 washers i needed to finish the fur babies stroller i wasn't sure if i could afford it. Thanks guys i needed that laugh today. You guys are great. I always have a nice experience there.

I needed a replacement head for a watering wand and couldn't find it at the big box home store I stopped at. I called Fairfax expecting they would probably have it. The polite and helpful associate was very helpful. I went to the store with my wand and sure enough they had it and the associate attached it for me and disposed of the broken part. Why throw away a perfectly good item when all it needs is a part? All of the staff at Fairfax are amazingly helpful and polite and they always have what I need. I've been a customer since 1985 and my experiences are always the same. If they were a little closer to where I live now, they would be my first stop for any and all hardware needs. In this day and age it is so refreshing to have such fantastic and reliable service!

I went to Fairfax hardware to find a older unique tub fixture. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. They had the part, and even gave me a mini tutorial on installation. Really enjoyed my experience, and will use in the future. Thanks guys for all your help.

A blast from the past! A hardware store of a type I fondly remember as a kid. Incredible selection of useful things, and helpful people. No need to wear yourself out by wandering in a big box store (and hunting for someone to help you). Chances are this human-sized store has what you need.

I was looking for some flanges for a shower and bath faucet that I couldn't find anywhere else including the large hardware stores. I was told to try this store, I have never been there before. It's not as big as the other store, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in service and personality...
I observed the young staff helping customers and they were all willing to please and very helpful...

They were polite, friendly, they said please, thank you and make me feel like my business was appreciated...

I was helped by a fellow called Stefan... He searched and searched for the items I was looking for and wouldn't give up... He went as far as to cut a length of pipe fitting to the perfect size...

I will definitely shop there again...

This is a great hardware store - excellent selection including some hard to find things. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. Fairfax is my go-to for key copies, they carry a much better assortment of blanks than the box stores.

Very pleasant employees, and helpful. Saved me 145.00 +, from buying a new filter for my fish tank by suggesting a repair, I wouldn't have thought of....let the "old hardware store" live on!!!....home depot and Lowe's got nuttin!!! It takes knowledgeable and "experienced" (even though the person who helped me was younger than me), personnel to properly run a small hardware store, but these guys(and gals) do it t right!!!

I, too have gone to Fairfax Hardware since the 70's. I will say "ditto" to the other top reviews.it's nice to still have a simple hardware store in town. They always have exactly what I want in a high quality manufacturer. Plus Artie (Arty?) Pleasanton, the owner and all his help are among the best, most knowledgeable and courteous people I have dealt with. I refuse to use any of the discount coupons because I want them to make good money and stay in business here for as long as I live nearby.
They always have that odd piece I need for some old faucet or garage door and know what I mean even when I can't describe it well. Sometimes they disappear into their back room and come out - almost like magic - with just the right part.
May they live long and prosper.

The knowledgeable, courteous staff cannot be topped. It is a pleasure to shop at Fairfax Hardware. The owner, Art, has done a magnificent job in hiring great employees, and stocking his store with those needed items and a lot more! My most recent visit involved Yzette, who quickly helped me to rectify a rebate problem I was having on mdse. I had previously purchased.
