Burrito Bandido

A truly intoxicating experience. Never have I felt more love and appreciation from such a viable and respectful establishment. From the moment I witnessed those women curate those burritos, I knew that my mere existence would forever be changed. For once in my life I was a fresh and toasty tortilla that subsequently would be filled with compassion in the form of a cheesy bean & chicken medley. I won’t stop until this place is granted a Michelin Star ⭐ take a 3rd mortgage out on your home and use the proceeds to this place. Trust my words.

A small mom and pops feeling spot. I ordered the quesabirria and it was pretty good. The portions were bigger than I tought. The service was great. Two little Mexican ladies were running the whole show. One cashier/server and the other one cooking. The place feels like a small town mexican food joint with lots of indoor plants when you walk in.

This is one of the best Mexican restaurants I have been to. The food is extremely delicious and extremely well priced. I had the quesadilla de Birria and my partner had a chicken quesadilla. The quality of the lamb and the chicken were excellent. The salsa verde and roja were both delicious. The service was also stellar. We will be coming back for sure!

Parking was easy for us, they have about 6 spaces or so. You should have no problems finding a place to park.

We came in during normal human lunch time. It wasn't very busy, they had one full table. They have a few booths and a couple tables in here. This is a little place that was cozy and aesthetically pleasing. We felt a good vibe the whole time we were up in there. Make sure you pull the door open with a little force if you go in the front entrance. We started to walk away thinking it was closed, until we saw employees waving at us to pull harder. Oh, are we glad that we got that door opened...The service here was outstanding. Anything we needed we got quickly, and all of the questions we had were answered.

We both ordered bottled waters, cold, delicious. I'm not sure if they serve alcohol here or not. They are def stocked in coke products.

Chips and Salsa!!!
Chips were fried perfectly, not too hard, and handled what we threw at them without breaking. The salsa game is strong at this place as well.
The light green salsa with a little avocado was killer!!!! Creamy, nice cilantro flavor going on in there, and my what a spicy kick it has. I thought I wouldn't be able to taste my food because of the lingering heat. With the help of some cucumbers, it subsided.
The darker salsa had a smokey flavor, kind of a chipotle style. Alex loved it, and it also had some heat to it. Not my style.
The tomatillo based salsa was a good, salty, solid salsa that we used to balance the heat of the others. Or maybe we made it worse, who knows.

I ordered Enchiladas(Verde): 5 rolled chicken enchiladas topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, avocado, sour cream, and queso fresco sprinkled on top. The platter also came with black beans and rice.
Beans...great salty flavor, good texture, everything I want in black beans.
Rice.......Soft, fluffy, but didn't really stand out to me.
Enchiladas......the presentation on these was beautiful. The taste was even better. We are looking at the best enchiladas I've ever had to this date. The chicken was moist and it was flawlessly seasoned. I can't say enough about how happy I felt eating them.

I ordered Tacos: Al pastor, carnitas, and chorizo.
Pastor....Right up there with the best I've had. The meat was melt in your mouth and had a great flavor. Even with the double corn tortillas, I never had to use salsa or take out a tortilla. The slice of pineapple on top was the icing on the cake.
Carnitas.....moist & delicious again with no signs of getting dry.
Chorizo...I didn't have that char on the meat that I love, however again, the meat was hydrated well, and I couldn't get enough.

No frills Mexican. authentic, affordable and delicious

I love this place so much. Appreciate the hard work and love they put into the food. I had to take a break so we eat here twice a month. Their selection of meat is hard to beat. This place is a must try.

Unassuming little burrito shop hiding the best carnitas in Wilmington. I aspire to care about anything to the extent that these people care about their slow cooked meats. Go get a burrito. They're practically giving them away for a song.

Very quick and efficient service! You can tell that the food is made with love and care. Will definitely be back and/or do takeout from here!

Bandido has a pork taco that is pure heaven. Juicy melty pork and fat. I am going back during the lunch special.

Very good tacos . 7$ lunch special for 3 tacos and a soda. Friendly staff. You can’t beat that.

Man they have some great steak burritos, and my kids love their steak quesadillas. Definitely recommend this place. Give it a try you we don't regret it.

Great variety and low price. Numerous meats with on tacos, gorditas, sopes, burritos. Food was great. Interesting hole in the wall on the inside

#gordita this place is great! Home made tortillas for the gorditas and sopes. The meats are delicious. It's as authentic as can be. They have a deal, not well advertised, of 20 tacos for 20 dollars. Hard to beat. Their #torta is crusty and delicious. Try the chicken.

2.50 tacos all day, fresh and authentic, super friendly staff, can't beat it in Wilmington for me.

Quesabirria (quesadilla+birria) worth a try.

You walk into burrito bandido and you’re instantly a part of the big loving Mexican family that you never had but always wanted. Step outside of your life and walk right into the smell of fresh, home cooked Mexican food. I wish I could give it six stars. Totally bangin.

Great food, including lots of items you don’t find in many places. The Torta Cubana is my personal favorite.

The food was freshly made and really good. The staff are super nice too! A great place to eat!
