I know everyone’s experience is different, but the staff was very caring, very professional, very attentive, and this whole experience from start to finish in the ER took five hours, which is nothing if you think about it. It’s a little outdated aesthetically and could use a new coat of paint but overall this experience has been fantastic considering the occasion.

The wait in the ER was long, maybe an hour or two but compared to Christiana I know that wasn't that long. Once I was in a room they were quick to see me and get all the necessary tests started and get me on fluids etc. Turned out it was Appendicitis, and though acute and the surgery could have waited until the following morning they got me into surgery that night, and I was out by the next afternoon. Less than 18hrs for the waiting room, triage, diagnosis, surgery and recovery. I couldn't have asked for a more accommodating hospital. Every nurse and doctor/surgeon and all general staff I saw was very nice. I'm terrified of doctors, so going to the ER was a terrifying ordeal for me, but I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

I delivered my baby there this past weekend and I have to sing my praises to every single employee at St. Francis who worked there from 3/24 to 3/27 taking care of me, my baby, and my husband. We got so much love and attention from the entire labor and delivery and postpartum floor, we were beyond overwhelmed with gratitude and awe of every employee who genuinely cared and checked in on us, including housekeeping! They were so compassionate and patient with us as new parents, they made sure we got all the information and teaching we needed before we were discharged. On top of all that, the rooms were clean and it was relatively quiet for a hospital setting which was a huge plus! Highly recommend new moms and parents consider this hospital to be the place to deliver. It was honestly the best patient experience I have ever had.

I was able to be evaluated within 48 hours for my injury injury. Doctor and staff were fantastic. Waiting room was empty every time i went which was weekly due to my injuries , no one wants to wait for an appointment or be crowded after an injury , this was my first time at st francis for at the ER and wound care -

Took my father there yesterday morning, excellent service. From the moment we walked in to ER. Took him right away. Our nurse Cassie was outstanding. The whole team made our experience so comfortable. After he was admitted to the hospital his nurse Sean on the 6 floor took such good care of my father. He's an amazing person. Thank you to all of you. I could see it can be a bit overwhelming, however, you all made it much easier for the patient and family. Thanks again and God bless you all.

The receptionists are lovely and truly brighten my day every time they pick up the phone. Wish I could give them a hug because they have made this difficult time a lot easier.

Excellent experience at the emergency department. It’s an older facility and I was a bit concerned, but they treatment and efficiency were awesome. Wait time in the emergency room was brief. Blood draw, ekg. Vitals etc all handled swiftly. Nursing staff were attentive, knowledgeable and communicative. Doctor was efficient end helpful.

Biggest shout out to labor and delivery and postpartum. We had an amazing experience having our first baby. I can’t thank all the nurses/doctors and staff enough. They were exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Big shout out to nurses Denise, Steph, Tammy, Susan, Tori, Dr. Petit. I felt comfortable and learned so much from them.

I have 2 stays here the past month. The begining of the month i gave birth to my twins at 35 and 5. The team was amazing and everyone was kind and knowledgeable.the girls spent time on the nicu and werenloved on by some amazing nurses. Recovery was alspeaceful and great.
My second stay was last weekend for an emergency surgery. I went to the er experienceing pain in my abdomon. It was pain I have dealt with on and off for years. And have had other drs write off as nothing. The er dr looked at me for about 5 seconds and let me know what the. Issue was. Next morning i had my gallbladder out. Again the team of nirses providing my care were kind calm and knowledgeable . Dr peterson was awesome at exsplaining the pricedure and everything went amazing.

In 2015, I had a suicide attempt. Ended up going to this hospital. Got into my room, and I was placed under 24 hour suicide watch. The nurse came into the room and immediately started berating me! I had done some cutting and she basically told me flat out that I had not done the cutting well enough and that I'm not only a danger to myself but to everyone else! That I must love pain! I'm like, lady. Nobody feels worse about this than I did. When she came in to check my iv, it was as if I was inconveniencing her. Luckily, I guess my story got back to the head nurse who asked me what happened with this nurse. Despite all of this, they saved my life. Talking to the people that were monitoring me really helped and I left for a behavioral facility that taught me that it really is the smaller things in life really are the most important. I've been back since then and have had nothing but good experiences here.

I went to this hospital because I was in extremely pain. I went to the ER . I had a miscarriage and went under surgery, and couple days later I was experiencing severe pain. I got there around 8pm and let me tell you they where so helpful. They took good care of me asap. They treated me so well and gave me something to make the pain go away before doing any ultrasound to make me feel better. I got released around 12am. They did everything to make sure I had nothing left inside me by doing an ultrasound. That’s the first time for me to leave a review after going to the ER since I got to the USA. However I feel like I must doing it because they were so helpful and so supportive. Thanks to the ER Dr and nurses, everyone that took good care of me that day. Thank you

I have been to the ER twice in 4 months. The first time was for shortness of breath and the second for stitches. Both visits were very good. The wait time wasn’t long and the staff was very nice and helpful. Very efficient and professional.

I had my first surgical procedure ever and Dr. Lund did an awesome job. I honestly was pretty nervous, could not have asked for a better experience from beginning to end. I want to thank all the staff who took care of me and put me at ease from prep and hold to PACU (Intake nurse (Name I can't remember), Jane, Roxanne, CRNA, OR Nurses and Dr. Lund). You all rock! Thank you.

I was in the worst condition of my life. The nurses and doctors at St Francis not only saved me, but I felt safe and comforted every day by their warmth and personal approach. I can’t thank them enough. I was admitted, bedridden, and went through multiple surgeries for weeks- which of course was miserable and traumatizing. Not one provider fell short in making a terrible time easier for me.The care I received at St Francis I will never forget❤

While this is still very fresh on my mind. I'd like to take this time out to thank two emergency department employees who made a tragic experience a memorable moment. First I would like to thank the young man who is a security officer who name is Officer Shaw, second I would like to thank nurse Mary' Ellen. She was so very warm and kind to me and absolutely loved how much that was needed in my wife's passing that night. The officer walked into that lobby and checked on every single person out their and spoke with so much confidence. Once they learned about my wife passing away they stayed with me. Out of our three children only one lives two hours away. I never once felt alone. He and the nurse walked me to my car and I felt the love from both of them. Thank you for the excellent service that was needed. God bless you both. God bless every hand that works in that hospital. To God be the glory

I gave birth to our son at St. Francis on June 18, 2019. He is my first child and I was very nervous about everything. The nurses and staff were amazing!! Very friendly, accommodating, and made sure I always felt comfortable. My C Section went very well and speedy, Dr. Fan is amazing.
One of the nurses I had while we were there deserves recognition. Her name is Brenda, and she was the sweetest, most thoughtful nurse I've ever had. She has a real passion for her career. I felt so cared for, she helped me feed my son and learn to latch him on, she made sure all my needs were met and even helped me shower while my husband changed my sons diaper and did skin to skin with him. She made sure the three of us were happy and comfortable at all times. She deserves a raise!!
All of my nurses were nice, but not all of them were as amazing as Brenda. She came in with mother's love and treated us as family.
I'll never forget her <3

I had surgery at this hospital not too long ago and I was very but very satisfied with the service and attention I received at St Francis. They have an amazing team that really care about their patients. The doctor and everybody on their staff did and amazing job. I don’t would like to go there anytime soon because is not a restaurant but if I have to because for any circumstance, I won’t hesitate to go there. The nurses did everything they could possibly do to make sure that I rest, had my medications on time, that I was comfortable the whole time. They ran the extra mile just to make sure that I had the best recovering process after my surgery. Thanks to everybody at St Francis Hospital!!!

Husband hadn't been feeling well in 3 weeks. An associate from his job recommended St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington. It wasn't easy to find. Our visit from our time parking to the time we left was 3 hours. Staff was extremely personable and empathetic from our greeting to our discharge.
The doctor was prompt and testing began almost immediately after she left the room. The doctor, nurses, people in x-rays were beyond exceptional, but tech Lovell really stood out to us with her personality, demeanor, and jokes to lighten the mood. Husband was referred to a specialist for further testing. Very much satisfied with the services and care provided by this ER staff both as a whole and individually.

Great experience in their labor department. I had my baby back in June 2021. Great staff overall. Dr Cosgrove was very professional yet made you feel like you've known him for years. Thanks to the staff I was able to deliver my baby safely. And big thanks to the nurses in the NICU!
