Come here all the time. The staff knows me by name and always has recommendations for new wines to try. They also offer special events like wine tastings and once a month they do a drag queen hosted trivia night with prizes. The menu is geared to be well paired with wines. 5/5. Love Barkada. Best spot in DC for natural wines.

Barkada hosted our private event and we were awestruck by the level of detail and care put into every element of our night. The atmosphere was chic and inviting, the drinks were delicious and unique, and we absolutely loved getting to know the professionals who made it all happen. I wholeheartedly recommend this space to anyone who wants to have a memorable event. We will definitely be back—we could not love this place more!!

Lovely wine bar. Intimate but not overwhelming vibe. Great for first dates. Best aperol spritz in the city imo. Sean is an amazing bartender - super personable!

Every time I’m here I feel so chic and cute, the atmosphere is sophisticated and cute.
Make sure to make a reservation bc it can get pretty busy on weekdays
There’s no other queer natural wine bar in all of dc so if you’re looking for a special date night atmosphere or a cozy place to study or work this is where I would recommend. 10/10

Great service and ambiance for this wine bar. The outdoor seating is limited but nicely spaced out for social distancing. Wines are 45+ for bottles but taste good. They even have mosquito sprays and sunscreens. How thoughtful!

Amazing experience! Went with friends, an absolutely lovely day, wonderful food, vegetarian options (not many vegan options, if any), wine was AMAZING, cocktails AMAZING, service was very good with our needy and large group. Remember to email beforehand if you're bringing outside food and you may have to pay a cutting fee.

Fun, hip, cozy wine bar at 12th & U featuring unique, organic wines. Three owners are on-site and make sure everyone has a great time. Definitely worth trying.

What more can you ask for? Not only is this place super cute, the wine here is amazing. I came here to celebrate taking my boards with a few friends and we had an amazing time. The staff took great care of us. We got a charcuterie board and lots of wine, of course. I had so much fun, that I forgot to take pictures.

We had a wonderful first visit to Barkada! Really unique menu of wines by the glass from around the world. The staff were very helpful as we made our selections and everyone enjoyed the wine. Meat and cheese options were also abundant on the menu. The presentation was perfect with local honey, pickled veggies, mustards and more all served with an assortment of fresh toasted breads. Overall, we enjoyed our time and the environment. Service was very laid back and the block was quiet for being so close to U Street. We look forward to seeing what else they have in store as they settle in to the new digs. We will back for a return visit soon!

My friends visited this bar, and I will give it a 5 star. The place was really nice just to chilled with friends. They have great selections of wine and food. I meet the owners Nick, Nate, Anthony and Sebastian they are very sweet and very accommodating and knowledgeable of wine selections. I will definitely will come back again with my friends.

Hung out for an afternoon before a show. Great service. Good variety of libations. Delicious food, but a bit on the pricey side to fill you up.

They have an awesome happy hour. We went on a Monday and their outdoor space was comfortable without being too crowded. They have a great happy hour menu and I can’t wait to go back!

Happy Hour here is great--one of the best I've seen in DC. The service is great as well. Come here if you like a nice wine selection, good charcuterie, and friendly, lively servers and bartenders.

Love Barkada! Got Aperol and Campari spritzes here on Tuesday and they were HUGE and perfectly made. They also have a good amount of outdoor seating space which is a hot commodity in the U street area.
