Great local swimming hole right over the state line into Washington. It's easy to find unlike a lot of other swimming holes we've visited, has a parking lot, bathrooms, bike rack, ramp, and beautiful clear water. On the to be prepared for side, the ground is really rocky and there's no shade. Next time I would definitely bring a zero gravity chair and an umbrella to be super comfy! There were kids of all ages and adults and everyone was having a good time while staying distanced. A group of teenagers was jumping from a platform into a deep spot. My girls were screaming and trying to skip rocks. Some tubers floated past us. And a family down the beach was playing music to give us some background music. The viewing platform right off the parking lot has picnic benches and a great view of the river. I don't know if this is a regular thing, but when we got there at around 5:30, the ice cream truck was just pulling through! I'm not sure when we'll be back since it was quite a haul, but I would definitely return and highly recommend for anyone nearby. It seemed about 5 to 10 degrees warmer than where we are in Portland, and a lot of folks were just showing up as we were leaving around 7: 00pm. It looked like evening might be the time to go!

This is a cute like place right on the river. I have lived here my whole life and had never been to this place before. I assume the water was high since it is November, but there was still plenty of rocky, sandy beach area to walk around and take in nature. I will definitely be going back throughout the changing seasons.

The kids love it here. It gets pretty busy on the weekends or afternoons of hot days.

Careful with the deep parts but this hidden gem is amazing. It's our new favorite place.

Shallow enough for little kids to play on hot days with deeper pools of water for older kids. It’s fun to watch the salmon run too.

Had a blast! Make sure to wear river shoes cuz the rocks are no joke on bare feet. Never too crowded which is nice. Parking can be kind of tricky but of you're ok with a little walk it's no biggie! So much fun!

Bring sandals for the rocks (there are alot). It's somewhat smooth, but not pleasant to step on and slippery as well. Also, it gets too deep to stand in some places (6') around halfway in river (non-swimmer beware).

The boys had so much fun jumping off the rocks. It wasn't as crowded as I thought it would be .

A staple of the Camas and Washougal communities! Can get a little crowded during peak times, and parking is at a premium, so if you are planning a day, make sure to get there early or be prepared to walk a little. Rocky "beach" with rapids upstream and down, and a calm area for swimming. A couple areas that allow you to jump in from either rocks or a small concrete pad. Never had a bad experience.

Great place for the whole family. Water is clear and cool, moves at a nice slow rate.

Took a motorcycle ride out here with a friend. Beautiful location filled with history. My friend took her children here to swim when they were young. I should have taken photos. She mentioned that it gets crowded in the heat.

This is a good family friendly swimming spot the water is deep enough in spots to jump from the rocks and it's also shallow enough for kids to play cuz the water is slow moving but moves fast at other spots. People float thru this river alot from up by Hathaway or 3 mile up the washougal River road.

Always a great time coming here. Been my #1 place since I was too small to swim. Many great memories with friends and family.

Wear water shoes, it'll save your life.

Parking lot is really small. But the water is great. Not too cold nice with a mild current to keep you moving in an inflatable

Very small parking area but if you can find a spot to park it's so nice and easy to get down to the water. Unless you have Flintstone feet I'd suggest wearing some kind of water shoes lol.
