JP's on the Wharf

I recently started trying crab cakes and someone recommended this place. Absolutely awesome. The food was great and the staff were very accommodating. The crab cakes were the best I have had so far. My wife had the shrimp and it was equally as impressive. Their beer menu was smoked as well. I will definitely go back.

Wow, such a beautiful view, darn near breathtaking. This was absolutely the most enjoyable dinner of my life. The food was fresh and flavored so deliciously. The lobster was THE BEST I've EVER had!! The dessert was big enough to share with my son and father, which was also lovely 😍 being able to share my dessert with them enhances the experience for all of us really 🥰🥰 because that mud pie was soooooo good! Our server was so nice and helpful throughout the meal. If you ever get the chance you need to go here. Best restaurant I've ever been to, hands down.

We decided to celebrate our 37th wedding anniversary with a late lunch at JP's Wharf seafood restaurant. Their location was right on the inlet leading to the Delaware Bay.

Our server "Becca" was very informative on the menu selections. We ordered mussels as an appetizer. My wife ordered JP's Steamed Combo and I ordered softshell crab sandwhich.

Everything was cooked perfectly and superb! The steamed combo had generous portions of mussels, clams, shrimp, crab legs, and lobster. My sandwhich had two softshell crabs and was very delicious. My meal also included a health serving of crispy, REAL, potato fries.

We topped the meal off with a slice of Smith's Island coconut cake and a creme Brule cheesecake. The Smith Island coconut cake was the star!

We'll definitely be back!

The restaurant was very cute and clean. The location on the water was incredible. The service and food was great! We will definitely return and bring our friends.

Staff welcomed me accommodating my choice of seating with a water view. I tried an ale but don't appreciate the taste. My flounder sandwich and fries were perfect. I'm going to bring my daughter and husband here... Good that it's close by.

We came last night to have dinner for my mom's birthday and the service and food were absolutely amazing. My mom was very happy and had a great night. We had the most excellent server who really took care of us. He was great and made sure we had everything we needed. Everyone enjoyed their food. The only disappointment we had is that they are closing till the next season. We will definitely be back.

This is the second time I’ve been here, and the food has been delicious and cooked perfectly! The steamed combo is definitely my go-to since you get a little bit of everything and you get a lot. This time all of the tables had umbrellas, and I didn’t have to wait long before being sat. The vibe is wonderful and the staff are friendly and on top of it.

Super cute place on the water with great food and staff. Many nice places to sit and hang out. Bowers Beach surprised us with all it's charm and gorgeous, sandy beaches! It is a fun little beach town with lots of character. JP's is a great place to finish off your visit!

I enjoyed my first visit here . The food was good alil pricey and not to big of servings but fast service and good . I like the warf too nice by the water.

The food was fantastic, the “bullet” char-grilled oysters were delicious and a great introduction to oysters if you’re not acquainted with raw oysters yet. My scallops were cooked perfectly and the mashed potatoes were perfectly seasoned and had a good mix of smooth and chunky consistency. The snap peas were steamed just right! The rum cake was very boozy but in a good kind of way 😉, I loved the cake itself the best! It had a great texture, density, and flavor. To round it all out the service was exactly right, the waitress was friendly, easy to understand, and checked in on us regularly! Thank you for the great dinner!

JP's was terrific. The steamed clams were great and one of the best crab cake sandwiches ever. Our server Chris was great!!! Even bought a hat! Beautiful location right on the water.

What a wonderful experience! I went for dinner and the staff and the customers were very nice and friendly. I sat outside with several other customers. The outside deck was very relaxing with all the rain. There was a couple celebrating there anniversary, two business men, and three ladies that meet through a swim class. Just awesome friendly company. So even though I was dinning alone, I was not alone. The three ladies came over and sat with me trying to get away from the rain. Great company! The waitress was a doll as well! The food was good and the homemade desserts were really good 😋! A must stop if you are in DE!

I loved this place. Being on the water creates a great ambiance. The food was fresh and delicious. I will be back for sure!

Great service and fresh seafood 😁!!! Wish I lived nearby. Was recommended and can't wait to travel back to Delaware for this laid back seafood, done just right. This Maryland girl couldn't have been happier with the crab cake, bacon wrapped scallops and raw oysters. Everything done perfectly, not too fussy and great service. Right by the water ❤

My husband and I really enjoyed our dinner here. We both had crab cakes and agreed they are some of the best we've ever had! JP's has excellent food, courteous service,
and nice ambience on the water (picture is of our view from our table,) we will be back!

We had a lovely evening here. We sat outside and the lights on the deck were beautiful reflected on the water, the music was nice. All in all it created a very calm and romantic feel. We come here from time to time and it is always a great experience.
I had a piece of coconut cake that had pecans in it on one of our visits here, I thought about that yummy cake for days afterward.

How charming. Loved sitting by the water and enjoying a relaxing meal. I had a burger that was delicious! They don’t take American Express, just FYI. There is a cute little ice cream place that you can go to afterward (cash only) in the front of the building.

Delivered in DC on Friday and had the weekend to get up to Vermont for a delivery on Monday, so my husband took a detour to Bowers Beach for a relaxing day off. We love seafood so decided to have lunch at JP's. What a great little spot! Lilly was our bartender/ server and was absolutely delightful, she's a gem! We've never heard of a crush before, so ordered a couple to try...omg who needs a mimosa? These are amazing! Pro-tip, order a shot of coconut rum to top it with, it tastes like the beach, so yummy!
We started with some oysters on the half shell, bullet oysters, and a crab cake. The oysters were great, I prefer the raw half shell ad you can taste their yummy, salty freshness. I am not a crab cake lover, but their crab cakes changed my mind, they are crab, with no fillers...just deep-fried crab. Sooo amazing!
Our entrees were striper(rockfish) bites and yellow fine tuna. Again, perfectly cooked, fresh and flavorful. Also had a side of seaweed salad that was perfection!
We had a great dining experience here and will definitely return!!

Went there for the first time today on what will likely be the last summer-like day of the year. Staff was great, restaurant was clean, food arrived quickly. Everything was excellent. What stole the show though was that burger with the crab dip on top, so good! Will be back again.

Our food was very good and was served promptly. Our server was Skyler and she was excellent!
