I called 2 different companies before I called Ron Thompson Plumbing LLC. and 1 more after. The first company I called a company out of Vancouver, S...N Plumbing, before the plumber looked at the leaks, and I had 2 of them. First thing he told me I needed a new water heater. In stead of fixing the leaks, the plumber told me I needed to replace all the piping system total was approximately $9000. He wanted to get started right away and stated that there was no need to get another estimate.
The second company out of Aurora, R..h wanted $2000 for the first leak and had to get back to me on the second leak. They too wanted to dig and told me they would have to shut off the water supply at the pump house and were not sure how much that would be. In fact they were not sure they wanted the job because of the possible liability once they turned the water back on. The 3rd Company was Ron Thompson Plumbing, David came out in a grey camouflaged van, looking like the Calvary had arrived. He fixed the first leak on the service call. He and partner came to evaluate the second leak a day later, went out got supplies and fixed. The third company came out after Ron Thompson had fixed the first leak. They give me a estimated slightly higher then Ron's for the second leak, 24 hours after the repairs had been made. I had a similar drama with my septic system as well, several companies wanted to overcharge me on that repairs also. Good to know that there are still companies out there willing to fix vs. replace.

Ron Thompson is great. My first experience with him was about 1 year ago when I was dealing with an outside water problem. Ron helped me diagnose the issue over the phone to avoid having a service call and helped me determine my issue wasn't plumbing at all (ground water).

Fast forward a year later and we had an upstairs water leak into downstairs bathroom. Ron and his associate David came out the next day to assess the issue and provided a rough estimate. He came out a day later, as promised, to confirm the problem - no charge! We made appointments with 2 other plumbers - 1 wanted to sell me stuff I didn't want/need and charge me 3 times Ron's estimate. The other plumber didn't show up to our scheduled appointment and didn't respond to texts or calls to reschedule.

Ron and David came out on the scheduled install day and within a week, arriving at 7:59am for an 8:00am start time. They protected our flooring, cleaned up after themselves and their work appears top quality. There was a part missing in the faucet we supplied. Ron and David offered to come back out (after their job was essentially complete and paid for) once we got the missing part. They also charged us LESS than their original estimate! Once our missing part arrived they came by to install the faucet, as promised!

Ron and David are friendly, responsive, easy to work with and professional. I would highly recommend them! New business name as of Jan 1, 2023 will be Urban Plumber ~ same people ~ highly recommended.

Called to inquire about same day Sunday service. Though he wasn't working today, he gave me proactive advice (without me asking) on how to fix it, and said that if I need walked through any issue encountered to call him and he will assist over the phone. Pretty cool he would offer that on his day off for no charge. Issue resolved today, but if I need a plumber in the future I will no doubt be calling Ron.

I received a same day visit after calling about a minor plumbing problems that other plumbers didn't want to bother with since it was such a small job. The plumber arrived on time, and quickly identified the problem and got it fixed. Pricing was very reasonable. Highly recommend.

Guys came out to install toilet and sink faucets and then on another occasion they helped fix a drain on a Saturday. Really appreciated them coming out on such short notice and helping out. The technicians were very nice and good reasonable price . Would refer !

Same-day service when other larger companies kept rescheduling/canceling on us. Did great work. Will definitely call again.

Maybe he’s a good plumber?! ….wouldn’t know because he was a no show, no call. Drove 45 minutes in traffic to meet him, leaving another job behind.

When I contacted him a half hour after our meeting time he said he couldn’t make it because he was feeling sick. When asked why he didn’t let me know - he said “Things happen”.

May be worth someone’s time if he can act like an adult and have the courtesy to not waste someone’s time and at least apologize. Very arrogant - No sense of business etiquette.

I don't like leaving bad reviews, especially for local businesses. However, this plumber did not show up to our house or call us, and we were counting on him, as we had an appointment with him to fix our hot water (we don't have any hot water at the moment). It's Friday afternoon, and we are stuck paying overtime to get another plumber here before the weekend.

Zero stars. Called and texted repeatedly just to get an initial response, then he said he'd come by at 10 a.m. When it was noon and he still hadn't come by, called and he said, "well, some people forget things, and that's me." I spent my busy work day waiting for him to come by, and turns out he just couldn't be bothered. Don't waste your time with this business.

My experience was almost identical to other review below. Told him I need to get my hot water heater serviced - hot water heater isn't staying lit. His answer: "Yeah...I think we're gonna pass"

Ron Thompson is rude , combative, quick tempered and over priced. Do NOT hire him unless you like being abused and taken advantage of. Steer clear!

Refused to even look at or do work on my home. Word for word "Yeah...I think we're gonna pass"
