The point system is really great. You can bring in books in exchange for points that get you discounts on books in the store. The store itself is not very big, but there’s a huge selection and it’s constantly changing because of how many people frequent this place. It’s the perfect spot to pop into every couple of days to see what they’ve got! The staff is very helpful and very friendly. The whole place exudes fantastic vibes and the layout of the books is very intuitive and easy to follow.

A genuine, quality used bookstore! The kind with treasures in it to find but not with things messy and unorganized. The cashier was very knowledgeable and clearly loves the job of helping find a book to be excited about! (Exactly how you read about bookstore owners/workers in cozy mysteries and happy novels.) And they have a trade-in program!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! This is by far our favorite bookstore in SLC. if you are looking for a cozy bookstore to explore, this is the place for you. Staff is super friendly and I LOVE ordering books. Highly reccomend.

Love shopping here! They have an excellent selection of books to pick from. Their points system makes it really affordable to shop, as well. The staff is always willing to help you when you're in there. They are very friendly and make great book recommendations. I also love the wide variety of LGBTQ+ books available. They're also dog-friendly, which is an added bonus. Definitely will continue to shop here.

What an amazing place! Gently used books of many genres, great prices, and Jack is a real superstar! Too bad I live in PA, or I'd visit much more often. I'll be shopping here online though.

Central Book Exchange will always be the best used book store ive been to. The displays are always on point and they have unique selections. The used book store sale in the summer is one of my favorite. Go check out the local art there specifically Emily Bagleys prints and a portion goes to the store!

Chill, cozy place full of books. You can trade in your books for a lower price or you can just purchase them.

I've shopped here for years and I Love this place! Selection is always changing and always worth browsing. New and used books. If they don't have it on the shelf, they'll order it new for you. Instead, I left my name and a few months later, when someone brought them the book I wanted, they called me and held it for me. Friendly and helpful staff. Fun and upbeat location.

It's my favorite used bookstore. Their selection is amazing and the staff are so welcoming. It's a lot of books in a small space so you if you get claustrophobic, might not be great for you but I love it.

Had a wonderful visit while in SLC. Was able to find several books I wanted and had been searching for that did not cost a kings ransom.There was a fabulous flamboyant knight, not in shining armor but in the ruse of a bookstore store attendant who so thoughtfully printed a treasure map (map of all notable second hand and independent bookstores in town drawn in middle earth likeness ) to continue my quest for awesome reasonably priced well loved books. His name is Jack, he is great!

Fell in love with this superbly stocked hole-in-the-wall after we wandered in. The person staffing the store (sorry I didn’t get their name) was extremely knowledgeable about the stock and books in general. Lots of sci-fi and mystery, but also lots about f great fiction, history, poli sci, etc etc. Wish we had one like this where I live.

Update: I've been there several times already, all the staff is wonderful, and one of the ladies had a lot of patience with me asking about poetry. There's always something for everyone!

I was just there, and Jack was AMAZING. All the recommendations were excellent, he had a lot of energy, and was really friendly. I've been there before and the staff is always great, prices are good as well, and the atmosphere is the best. Wouldn't change this store for another one!

Adorable hole-in-the-wall bookstore. Books floor to ceiling, but the staff knew where everything was. You can bring in old books to get discounts on the already reduced price. So cozy and cute

A little known gem, this place is awesome! It is a used bookstore, so they accept trade-ins for credit! So grateful Salt Lake has this little wonder! If you're a bibliophile like me, you'll be in love. 😸❤
