Dr. Clark at LOHC spent an hour and a half going over all my history and discussing holistic care and in depth strategies to finally start getting to the roots of my long term issues and offered natural science backed solutions for my depression, anxiety, and more... This visit far exceeded my expectations. For the first time in 30 years, I felt heard and vindicated with my health issues and regime. Dr Clark is amazing and honestly listens.

I had been experiencing chronic upper muscular back pain after a car accident 10+ years ago, when Dr. McMonagle consulted with me about options using trigger point injections with ozone therapy. I received two treatments over a couple weeks and am now able to work at my computer longer and notice significantly less pain during normal daily activities.
I did not know about these treatment options before and am so grateful for the difference this made in my daily life.
I later tried their Ozone Therapy to see if Post COVID Fatigue could be improved, and I have experienced more energy during the days, weeks and even months past the treatments. I've had a couple really positive experiences so far, and the staff has always been friendly and knowledgable, too. I would highly recommend this clinic!

I have been seeing Dr. McMonagle for a number of years. I tend to have chronic pain and she is the only physician who has ever been able to help me with Ozone therapies and a great deal of good advice. Dr. McMonagle is always compassionate and caring and I trust her treatments and advice completely. I have learned so much from her!

Dr. McMonagle helped get me to a pain free reality non surgically. I had plantar fasciitis pain for almost 2 years that conventional methods did not cure & I was on a path to potential surgery. I am so glad I connected with Dr. McMonagle. She takes a comprehensive approach to resolving issues. I went to see her about my ongoing shoulder pain and, rather than treat the symptom, she studied my lifestyle, my medical history, had imaging and blood work done, then she began her work. She laid out several treatment paths/options and told me which one she wanted to start with. Her suggested path included ozone injection to help with tears, a referral to a physical therapists (I am not a fan of PT, but Dr. Gretchen Blyss is amazing), and a possible referral to a shoulder specialists for one issue that may require a more invasive procedure. The best part is, she stays intimately involved throughout the entire process. With my permission, she speaks directly to her referrals pre and post appointments. Her network of referrals are all amazing as well. My work with Dr. M reduced my baseline pain level, but didn't alleviate it. She then referred me to specialist for the more invasive procedure. She is an incredible doctor, communicates well, and has a phenomenal network of referrals. Thank you Dr. M.

Dr McMonagle provides a rare and precise blend of science based clinical expertise, cutting edge technology and genuine care. I have referred so many people to her over the years and am always impressed with how she treats each one so effectively and uniquely. Not the cookie cutter approach but one where she takes in your unique history and looks for solutions just for you. I really like how she treats the person and not the test. Most of all, I have seen incredible results because she does not overload with testing or supplements and really listens to you. Wish we had more doctors like her.

After 3+ years of struggling with chronic illness and not much luck with other clinics I decided to check out Lake Oswego Health Center and I am so glad that I did. I made an appointment with Dr. McMonagle. We spent 2 hours reviewing my health history and came up with a plan. I did some blood tests and I was given some informational handouts on available treatments. These treatments were to improve my immune function, I was also given a supplement that will help a long term digestive issue I was struggling with. I appreciated the ability to educate myself on the treatments and supplements offered before having to make a decision.

The most impressive thing I experienced here was an amazing drive to get me healthy. I felt like I had a team of coaches and cheer leaders who were determined to help me feel normal again. I also really appreciated the fact that no one was pushy about supplements or treatments. I felt that Dr. M spoke to me as though I was a peer and that I was an equal part of my recovery team. The whole clinic works together like a well oiled machine. This place makes you feel welcome and you know that you are receiving excellent individualized care.

After two visits to the clinic, most of my chronic health issues had been diagnosed. I went from having migraines weekly, horrible digestive issues that kept me at home, debilitating anxiety and all hope lost. To feeling like I have a real shot at a full recovery and a new found hope for the future.

I’ve also been seeing the acupuncturist Christy and she is a great addition to my recovery team. I had never experienced acupuncture before and Christy was so kind and gentle. She put my mind at ease and has been doing some amazing work on me. I am looking forward to experiencing her energy work, as well as additional abdominal massage treatments in the near future.

I would highly recommend this clinic to everyone I know! The ozone treatments offered here are simply amazing and life changing. The staff is knowledgeable, caring and simply wonderful. I hope that my review helps anyone who is struggling with long term illness to realize that there is hope and that this clinic can help. I still have a long road to a full recovery but that is a long way from thinking I would never recover at all.

I’m a dentist who took a course with Dr. McMonagle. She is firstly a great educator with a lot of knowledge. As a dentist, my hands are very important. My left index finger had some swelling and tenderness for over 2 months. This really affected the way I could work as I couldn’t hold a mirror well with my left hand. I got rid of my pop-up on my phone, thinking it was due to that stress. I stopped judo. I stopped golfing. I was very frustrated, to say the least. I was hardly golfing and I had the swelling and pain before judo, so I was beginning to worry that this was a repetitive stress injury to my hand from working. How was I going to continue dentistry for the next 20-25 years. One injection of ozone and 2-3 weeks later, my finger was healed. To someone who might possibly have to alter my career path, this was a blessing. Dr. M is knowledgeable, a good educator, and truly there to help patients feel better, whether she treats you or not.

Dr. TT is amazing! She was able to figure out and diagnose what was going on with my body (that had confounded specialists at Swedish/Providence for seven years) in two appointments. I cannot recommend her enough. This is the first place I’ve been to where I’ve actually received quality health care and had a professional want to work with me on various health issues instead of telling me what I “needed” to do without my consent. If you’re considering going here, you should go ahead and schedule an appointment with them, you will not be let down.

Dr McMonagle gives a perfect mixture of professionalism and compassion with advanced labs and up to date science based treatment plans individualized to each patient. Her genuine care levels and attention to details are unsurpassed among the doctors whose patients I see. I have co-treated patients with Dr McMonagle over many years and have seen outstanding results and miraculous success stories that left other doctors baffled. She is definitely one of Portland's best naturopathic physicians.

Dr. McMonagle and Dr. Tuson-Turner are two of the best doctors that I have ever worked with. I’ve seen Dr. M for over a decade and recently have seen Dr. TT, I continue to be grateful for their commitment to their patients. There are several other practitioners here too, all who can work to help you. Their nursing and assistant staff are top notch too, shout out to Britney who is always so patient and kind. I will continue to refer people to LOHC and I am grateful for the excellent care and service I receive.

I have been waiting to write this review, because I wanted to write an objective opinion, rather than one based on short term feelings. About a month ago, I had landed on my foot sideways, and subsequently hurt it bad enough, that I had to call for a ride home, rather than walk on it. Keep in mind, I have twisted my ankle many times over the years, playing soccer, and walked it off. This time was different, I couldn't just walk it off, I could barely stand up.

Two days later, Dr. McMonagle introduced me to ozone therapy. I'm a natural skeptic, and frankly, should have been born in Missouri (the "show me" state). I decided to keep an open and optimistic mind. Immediately after injection, there was relief from my pain. Ozone has anti-inflammatory benefits and helps to speed healing. There are 1,000's of published articles on the benefits of medical ozone therapy, and I would recommend reading about all of the benefits.

Over the days following the injection, the area was still a little tender to touch, but did not hurt to walk on it. This is a distinct difference over previously using Ibuprofen and ice to heal a twisted ankle. In the previous method I used, the healing time was longer and in retrospect, the Ibuprofen ended up causing damage to (thinning of) my stomach lining, which causes more severe problems.

Sometimes ozone therapy takes a few injections, but for me, one has been sufficient, however, I would not be opposed to having one more. If you have a need or an opportunity to take advantage of ozone therapy, I would highly recommend it.

I have worked with Dr. Tuson-Turner as both a patient and a healthcare partner with my own patients. She goes above and beyond for her clients and invests in discovering the root cause of their health problems rather than trying to provide a quick fix or over-medicate. She is patient, kind, extremely knowledgeable, and highly involved in education and non-profit work in addition to clinical care. I would recommend Dr. Tuson-Turner to anyone looking for pelvic healthcare, primary care, management of chronic conditions, or just to boost optimal wellness.
