My first order with this company I messed up my shipping information. Not only did they quickly cancel my order but the refund appeared literally SECONDS after.
I fixed my shipping information and placed the order again. This all happened within 10 minutes.

I've order several out of print Doctor Who children's books from the seller and they have all come in like new condition and were excellently packed to protect the thin and small books. The prices have also been extremely good, especially given that the books are out of print and going for far more $$ by other sellers.

Made a large order of 50+ comics from Canada, which arrived in nine business days surprisingly without any customs fees! It was also double-boxed and padded with a ton of foam.

The selection and pricing of comics at this store is incredible, and they restock both new and back issues very frequently. This online comic store is the easily best place to go to kickstart any new comic collection.

I wholeheartedly recommend this store without any hesitation.

Side note to the store: News-stand and direct-to-home versions should be differentiated on their listings instead of coupled together as one can sometimes be rarer or more valuable than the other.

Been shopping here for a couple years now. Always a positive experience. Shipping is fast and the prices are very good. Have filled so many gaps in my collection for such a great price. Highly recommend!

I've bought dozens of older comics from this outfit. Every one has been at least the grade indicated, if not better. The prices are fair, and there have been no delivery problems. I like this company!

I emailed Ben a list of low to mid grade Silver & Bronze Age books. A week later he called with a cash offer that honestly exceeded my expectations. So much so I added 17 other comics and told him to just add whatever he thought was fair to the check. They paid the shipping and I got $460 whereas local shops wanted to give HALF that in trade.
Best dealers in the nation.

I have ordered from here a few times and not once has Lone star comics failed my order. recently purchased some comic books and what would have most likely costed me around 300 bucks I was able to get away with only spending less then 200.

They are fairly priced on both old and new comics (depending on “hype” surrounding the comic either as a single issue or within a series/event, there are some that can be more expensive then others but for the most part a lot of the comics do seem to cost way less then if you were to buy them at stores) and their shipping plans are also a bit cheap and delivery time has never failed me once since I started business with them.

Overall this company does deserve the five star rating I have given them and for whoever want to check out this shop wondering about certain issues being more then what you would expect them to be, that in a way makes sense so I would suggest that anyone posting reviews giving this place a negative review for the seemingly overpriced comics you have to remember that they are a business and are only looking at this from a sales point of view and not trying to find a way to get people to buy their comics at an extremely over priced margin.

Lone Star Comics / MyComicShop are very good at shipping. I regularly purchase from them and I’ve never received an order that wasn’t well-packaged and the contents unmarred, despite visible dents to the shipping box.

And unlike many other retailers, including those on amazon, Lone Star doesn’t ship banged-up graphic novels as ‘new’.

Careless handling of inventory prior to, and during, delivery is a major problem with online purchases. It’s something that becomes very clear when you visit WorldStarHipHop and watch the clip titled “You Gonna Keep Recording Or You Gonna See Me” Man Confronts FedEx Employee For Throwing Packages Around Without Care… Almost Turns Physical !” from April 13, 2021.

Yep, whether it’s a Marvel Omnibus that has 1100 pages and weighs 10 pounds, a Playstation 5, or a high-end camera, it might not get tender love and care from the delivery people.

When San Francisco comics retailer Brian Hibbs at his ‘Tilting at Windmills’ column for Bleeding Cool states that ‘Most graphic novels that we receive from PRH do not arrive in anything approaching “mint” condition’ then you know that mauled inventory is a serious issue.

So I recommend Lone Star / MyComicShop if you want genuinely ‘near mint’ inventory that is delivered in the best packaging (short of a Pelican hard case with foam inserts…………..)

I order from them online regularly. Every order is accurately filled, shipped quickly, and exactly as described on the website. Top-notch. Their prices are better than any of the other online retailers I've seen. Excellent company.

This place is great! I had ordered a bunch of comics online that unfortunately got lost in transit. After contacting them they replaced my order and I received the replacement order super fast! 5 stars all day! Very professional business!

Ive been shopping at Lone Star since they opened the original store on Abrams street. I try to stop by when i am in town and got concerned on my last rip into town over the last weekend when i did not seethe store on Cooper. Had to look and was glad to see they are still around, will have to work a visit into my next trip up from Austin.

Received the GI Joe issue 13, today. It arrived in its cardboard box. It was flawless. You guys could teach some folks how to properly send a comic thru today’s transit systems.

My comics always come in great condition and very well-packaged. Although a bit pricey because of shipping, I usually order about 10 or more comics every other week so I feel I get my money's worth.

My Dad passed away 6 months ago and left behind 30 boxes full of comics. From the first call that I made to LoneStar Comics every person has been incredibly helpful! I knew nothing about comics and had a lot of questions. They helped me figure out how to get the most money out of his collection and I have been very happy with the process of consigning and selling my comics.
