Le Méridien Dallas, The Stoneleigh

This hotel has a cool unique vibe. It is a 100 year old boutique hotel. The hotel is centrally located in a beautiful and upscale part of downtown Dallas. The employees were friendly, helpful and responsive. It was a great location for our small business retreat.

2024 UPDATE: After a weekend stay to attend a ticketed event the Stoneleigh proved to be the perfect hotel yet again. The rooms at this hotel are remarkable, especially the large bathrooms with excellent water pressure in the showers. Thank You!

The Stoneleigh offers a glimpse of Dallas history with a refined modern style and class you would expect from a lifestyle branded hotel. The rooms are well appointed with mini-bars, large bath tubs, and large TV's. The closet in the room was huge, so feel free to bring four wedding dresses in case you have trouble deciding what to wear. The Stoneleigh's closets will accommodate! The second floor rooms are accessible via a grand staircase adjacent to the lobby. Fast elevators are available for access to all of the floors, as should be expected. There is currently a ton of construction happening in the area surrounding the Stoneleigh. Maple Avenue is only one way in front of the hotel. Normally Maple Avenue is a two way street. However, when the construction is complete the neighborhood surrounding the Stoneleigh will be significantly upgraded with more entertainment options within walking distance. Great job to the Stoneleigh for being an ideal place to stay near Uptown, Victory Park, and Downtown Dallas on two occasions now. I've included some basic photo's highlighting the in-room amenities.

We had our wedding here, and it was also our first time staying at the Le Meridien Stoneleigh Hotel. We've been here prior for the restaurant and also the bar, both of which are excellent. The hotel overall is STUNNING and close to a lot of restaurants that you can walk to. I highly recommend it for a dinner, a stay, and an event.

For the stay - the hotel rooms are huge. Since we had our wedding here, we were able to see some of our guests' rooms. They were all large. Great views (although there's a lot of construction around the hotel). The valet attendants are super awesome (shoutout to April!). They were extremely helpful throughout our 5-night stay. April even helped direct our vendors to the right elevators. The front desk was also very nice and helpful.

Food and Bev - their cocktails are AMAZING. The bar area is really nice. The food is fantastic. The Pearle has a solid menu. Our wedding reception food was also very good. Their braised short ribs are the best, and the portions are large. Travis was very accommodating to our asks.

Event Venue - The penthouse event space is FABULOUS, and their penthouse suite is even more incredible with the view of the city on the terrace, which makes for great photos. The Penthouse is made up of several rooms and even has a library with a bar in the back. Guests were able to walk around and mingle in various moody rooms. All our guests LOVE the space. The hotel has SO many cool places to take pictures. The ballroom on the penthouse level does have a max of around 132 guests. There is a larger ballroom on the first floor that holds a lot more.

Wedding Planning - Stephanie Lewis, the director of catering, is awesome! We cannot thank her enough for her work and guidance on our wedding. She was extremely communicative and made sure to answer all our questions and gave us any accommodations she could. She was available to chat whenever we needed her to. She ensured the staff knew every detail of the wedding, and everything went smoothly. If there was an issue, she was on it and found a solution.

The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff, from the valets to the front desk and room service, were all very kind and helpful. It was my first time in Dallas and I was only there to attend a concert so I didn't need too much attention 🙃

I especially want to commend April with valet parking. She has been professional, courteous, warm, and so hospitable. She met me when I first arrived, and her professional and wonderfully welcoming demeanor made me feel right at home. Miss Happy has been likewise so welcoming in valet parking.

The views in this hotel are stunning, and the staff is so warm that they make it feel like a home away from home!

Also Julie the manager has been exceedingly helpful and professional in every way. The maintenance engineer has likewise been so courteous and helpful. I’m enjoying my stay greatly!

I brought my daughter here for her birthday. When we got back from dinner we ordered room service for dessert. When Jose found out it was her birthday and all she really wanted was ice cream, he showed back up with ice cream and another sweet treat. This staff was amazing and made her birthday!!!!

Le Meridien Dallas is a great place to stay when visiting Dallas. The rooms were clean, the bed and pillows were comfortable. We loved the decor throughout this boutique hotel Our bartender, Javier, should be commended on his friendliness and outstanding drinks. We will be back!

I can honestly say this is one of the Best Hotels to stay in when you come to Dallas, Tx. The Hotel Staff are very concerned for you needs and making sure you're comfortable. The Hotel even has a Elegant Bar and Restaurant. The Bartenders are the best I ever come I. To contact with and are very prompt and ver professional. If I could give a 10 star review I would. You have to come and experience this Dallas Treasure.

A very nice anonymous employee gave my friend and I access to the penthouse of the Stoneleigh last month.

We were granted access to the grand penthouse. It was absolutely astonishing.
Marble floors, grand chandeliers everywhere, and beautiful artwork.

And as we got closer to the bar we felt a sense that we should immediately leave.

I have an app which uses my smartphones lighting sensors, and my 48MP 5 lens camera, to spot moving figures. It works flawlessly.

And the camera had spotted a figure in the corner of the room, right by the mantle of the bar.

My friend and I got spooked, and ran back to the elevator.

We had waited there for about 5 minutes.
We then reluctantly opened back the elevator, and walked back to the bar.
Because my friend dared me to do so

A very ludicrous decision.

As we speed walked to the bar, through the penthouse, we again entered the bar.

There was a man standing right by the mantle right where we saw him on camera.

He had a very sinister look on his face.
And you could tell that he was not from this physical dimension.

He had pure black eyes that stared deeply into our souls.

MY STUPID FRIEND THEN TOOK A PICTURE OF THE ENRAGED GHOSTLY MAN ON HIS IPHONE 6.

This then enraged the man even more.

I nearly had a heart attack.
And immediately ran towards the elevator as fast as we possibly could.
Through the Grand penthouse.

We then talked to one of the employees in shock.

The enraged ghostly man's name was Henry.

He used to own the pharmacy across the street; The Stoneleigh Pharmacy, which burned down in 1974.
A very popular bar now stands in it's place.

He had committed suicide in the bar and took his mistress with him.
In the secret stairwell of the penthouse.
She was brutally pushed, and slaughtered.
Her name was Margaret.

Which led to the grandest room in the hotel.
The room that we had also gotten access to.

We walked into the room and it was magnificent.

Hand-carved mahogany embroidered the entire room.
From the floor to ceiling.
It felt like we were in the Titanic's nicest first class bedroom!

We immediately closed the door that led to the secret penthouse staircase.

We did not want to see Henry again.

My friend decided to actually go down the staircase.
I did not want to.

We did not see the Mistresses ghost.

But we sure as Hell did not go back into that bar.

It is a beautiful place, with absolutely exceptional history, majesty, amenities, luxuries, and service.

But of course it is filled with evil and friendly spirits.

That simply refuse to check out.

She was so helpful and considerate to my situation and put forth her best efforts for me, which was greatly appreciated. I have been requested by her to follow up with a call next week to re-confirm that my request has gone through as scheduled. I will undoubtedly remain a loyal and very appreciative customer to the Le Meridien hotel for all my future plans. This hotel is a gem of the city. From the moment I arrived with April at the valet desk, her amazing smile and helpfulness set the ton and the expectations for my stay, they did not disappoint. The front desk clerk was kind and courteous. Even the bartender at the lobby bar was whiling to go the extra mile for the best customer experience. If you are looking for a great hotel experience in the downtown area this is the place you want to stay.

Matthew and team did a great job! My husband and I stayed here for one night for our anniversary. We didn’t know exactly what to expect as this was our first stay at this hotel. We checked in 1 hour early and our room was ready. It was clear when arriving to the room that they provided us with an upgraded room, perhaps for our anniversary. The room was very clean and super cute! You can tell this hotel is well managed and well taken care of. It is also easily within walking distance to Uchi which is where we had dinner. Would definitely stay here again!

We spent the weekend here for a family wedding. The Stoneleigh was amazing, 5 star service at all levels of our stay!! There were stand out employees in every area, Roderick and your valet staff were exceptional! They new us by name, what a difference they made! So refreshing in an industry where superior service does seem to be the norm any longer. Kudos to your leadership and your entire staff, well done!

Le Meridien hosted our friends and family during our wedding this week! Great aesthetic, great energy, bar was superb, and really set the tone wonderfully to start our wedding week. Thank you!

Wow! This place was excellent. Great boutique hotel. Beautiful interior decor from the rooms to bathrooms to the common areas. Bed was super comfortable, although I know there is a wide range of tastes in mattresses; I liked it, and the bedding was good quality. Everything was clean, well maintained and had a high quality feel. Pleasant service. When out of your room, there are lots of interior and exterior seating options depending on your mood. Want romantic, sit out by the fire table. Sit inside at the bar or at the leather couches to relax. High tops with outlets are available for work. The one negative is there are not too many restaurants near by, but I cannot blame the hotel for that. I will def stay there again when I go back to Dallas. This became one of my favorite hotels. (Photos were taken in the morning.)

Loved the hotel, very contemporary, yet modern. Drinks were good. Room service overprice though. :( overall, I enjoyed staying here.

I don’t write reviews often but I had such a nice experience speaking with the bartenders, Javier and Galane, that I had to write a little something to say how much i appreciated their service and conversation. If you find yourself at this hotel make sure to grab a drink at the hotel bar because if you’re lucky you’ll have the pleasure of speaking to one of them!

I booked the room on a deal website and had an amazing staycation. I booked because it was close to the AAC for a concert I was attending. The valet service, front desk and room (super clean and comfortable) were all wonderful! I’ve already booked my return stay and thank you for making me feel some welcomed.

Awesome hotel near uptown and close to deep ellum district. The staff here were super nice to my friends and I. This was a birthday celebration trip and we enjoyed our first night at Happy Hour with Tory. Wonderful service. Huge S/O to concierge Jon Smith who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was everything and more. He was able to get us extra towels, mini refrigerators for rooms, and tourist sites to visit for photos. We will for sure be staying here anytime we are in Dallas.
